This is basically my dream game lol. I spent so much time messing with BDArmory in KSP building fighter jets and stuff. This is like the perfect next level to that. I really hope down the road there will be a basic mission editor. Like spawn targets at X location on the map so that you can try and build a plane to go out and complete a ground attack mission against them or something. This was sorta possible in KSP with BDArmory but was incredibly time consuming and buggy to set up.
Yes! I spent so much time in KSP using procedural parts to design aircraft! I know that it's a space simulator game more than an aviation game, but Flyout makes me so excited!
As you get closer to open beta, I thought I would ask about how your engines are simulated, would it be possible to use a piston engine to drive a compressor that feeds into an afterburner? Basically a motorjet. Although using the heat of the engine and engine exhaust to boost efficiency might be more complicated than is practical or possible. I just wondered that since your engines are simulated using physics that piston engines with waste-heat booster jets, or secondary motorjets or pure motorjets might be possible due to the simulation of the engines. Highly anticipating open beta!
