I know this is the funeral for the First Lady, but as I watch this service with deep sadness, I can't help but think that soon her husband will be next. Such a heartbreak. There has never been such great humanitarians like those two. Both born and raised in Plains and spent their whole lives there, even after the presidency. Even teaching Sunday School every year until the very end. No one should be left alone for the remainder of their lives toward the end, it only makes their condition worse. Put all politics aside -- it is clear that the post-presidential years of this man have been the most inspiring of just about any president in the history of this country. A forty year plus period, after the White House, of helping others, including taking a hammer in his hand to help physically build homes for those who had none. Jimmy Carter will be greatly remembered for his amazing achievements -- most especially what he did AFTER his time in the White House.
Your living in fantasy land, he left us with terrorism on the rise, a hate for Israel and the Jewish state, while embracing the likes of yassar arafat. I lived through his presidency while in high school, he was pathetic and bad and weakened us as a nation when our tradition back then was a strong nation and a world leader and many of us old cotton choppers still live in that world and want to see a return of the past and a former glory
And with his partner of seventy seven years who he respected as his equal. Together they made such a positive difference in so many lives and will be remembered as role models for a Great American couple.

Oh dear, I can‘t watch this well. My heart is so heavy. To see President Carter saying the last farewell to his love is simply heartbreaking. And then this beautiful ode „America the beautiful“. Even a tear came to my eye. Here in Europe we have good memories of her being a kind and beautiful woman. A fine woman. May her soul rest in peace.
I feel for President Carter. To lose his beloved takes a lot out of a man and I can see it on his face. When my own mom passed in 2017 my father lost the will to live. We kept him focused for 4 years after our mom's burial but one say he told us, it was time. He was gone within a week after saying it. He couldn't live any longer being separated from our mom. Now they are together as of April 30, 2021 and are happy once more. I extend my prayers to President Carter.
It's heartbreaking to see Jimmy in such fragile condition. He was so vibrant and vital. I don't think he will last much longer because he will want to be with his Rosie.
He could have sat on his @zz or played golf in his retirement years...Instead, he built homes for the homeless. Now we have circus after circus. How far we have fallen.

My dad just passed last night, age 99. Was active his whole life, sports etc. Kayaked last year for his 98th birthday. But the body wears out eventually. I wish both President Carter and Mrs. Carter peace.

Jimmy and Rosalyn are two people whose actions speak louder than words. They are humble and honest from the heart. People with those qualities don't last long in the political system. They cared about people and it showed with the results that they produced and the help that they provided. Their lives were in service to humanity. We were blessed to have had them as examples of how people can benefit from being kind, considerate and helpful to all living things. They leave big shoes to be filled and their footprint will always be here.

When attending a funeral, or watching it on a screen, one cannot help but reflect on their own life and ultimate fate. I wish I had what they had, a 70 year marriage. But we only get one shot at life...
Put all politics aside -- it is clear that the post-presidential years of this man have been the most inspiring of just about any president in the history of this country. A forty year plus period, after the White House, of helping others, including taking a hammer in his hand to help physically build homes for those who had none. Jimmy Carter will be greatly remembered for his amazing achievements -- most especially what he did AFTER his time in the White House.

I lived through his presidency while in high school, he was pathetic and bad and weakened us as a nation when our tradition back then was a strong nation and a world leader and many of us old cotton choppers still live in that world and want to see a return of the past and a former glory
I'v always loved this man, and dreamed he'd win the Nobel Peace Prize. He did.
And with his partner of seventy seven years who he respected as his equal. Together they made such a positive difference in so many lives and will be remembered as role models for a Great American couple.
I'm so glad he made it. I feel grief for him as his family, but because of his beliefs, I know he takes comfort in knowing he will be with her soon. They truly are great people. Thank you to two people who gave us their all.

Oh dear, I can‘t watch this well. My heart is so heavy. To see President Carter saying the last farewell to his love is simply heartbreaking. And then this beautiful ode „America the beautiful“. Even a tear came to my eye. Here in Europe we have good memories of her being a kind and beautiful woman. A fine woman. May her soul rest in peace.
I feel for President Carter. To lose his beloved takes a lot out of a man and I can see it on his face. When my own mom passed in 2017 my father lost the will to live. We kept him focused for 4 years after our mom's burial but one say he told us, it was time. He was gone within a week after saying it. He couldn't live any longer being separated from our mom. Now they are together as of April 30, 2021 and are happy once more. I extend my prayers to President Carter.

Back then could run circles around the fools who vote today and we knew when Iran over took our embassy in 79 and he was dancing apologetically and taking measures in inches instead of by yards and running through those towel heads with our heads held high like proud Americans. We knew back then we had a weakling in office, but thank God for Reagan, they knew what he was gonna do and released them so fast that Reagan was not able to unleash the beast of a military back then and that was way before Obama and Biden gutted our military and yes many of us old cotton choppers know that Carter was a weakling who did nothing while in office and if anything, he set the trend for weak Democrats to run for office who couldn't even run a dog shelter, much less the USA as a commander in chief.

If only we all had half the love this woman had toward her husband and all she did in her life.
My dad just passed last night, age 99. Was active his whole life, sports etc. Kayaked last year for his 98th birthday. But the body wears out eventually. I wish both President Carter and Mrs. Carter peace.

Jimmy and Rosalyn are two people whose actions speak louder than words. They are humble and honest from the heart. People with those qualities don't last long in the political system. They cared about people and it showed with the results that they produced and the help that they provided. Their lives were in service to humanity. We were blessed to have had them as examples of how people can benefit from being kind, considerate and helpful to all living things. They leave big shoes to be filled and their footprint will always be here.
