I left my state and did not return until she was 8yrs when I ran into him. I gave him a picture of her. I never spoke to him again. I left my state again and didnt return until she was 15. He committed suicide when she was 16yrs old. He was trying to tell his dad that he had another grandchild when he pulled the trigger in front of him. A wasted life all over a having another child that no one knew about. I told no one who the father was. He only told his brother and one friend about me and her. Me coming back and him having to see us on a regular basis was too much for him to handle. It was a dramatic time for all as his brother told their dad about my daughter. It all came out in the open, but just too late....she did conncet with his side after this and has 3 other half siblings. She really connected with her gramps. He said as long as she is alive his son is because she walks just like him and looks like him. ❤

Sadly there are more people , men and women, who just turn their backs on those precious little ones. I lost my Dad but he was a great father. Not a great husband to my mom but to me and my sisters, he was amazing. I to this very day don't respect another man as much as I do my father. I am grateful that I had a dad who loved me. Some people don't have that love from their dads. This song hits very close to my heart because when my ex husband and I divorced he didn't care enough to fight for even joint custody because all he wanted was his money. I ended up getting full custody for my kiddos. If that wasn't bad enough, he turned his back on 2 of my 3 kids. No communication, not even a thought. Believe me when I say he hurt them, he ripped their hearts out. So I became Mom and Dad. To hear you share your daughter's story, was the most touching thing I have heard. You came forward and did the best thing for your little girl,,,,,, you became her keeper, her guardian, most important,,, you became her daddy. You are 1in a million Sir
