    To improve this hair oil, make the oil in a dark jar bc light degrades a lot of the properties of most essential oils, hence why you buy them they are in those dark blue brown and black glass bottles that resist light penetration.

      Robin G You can get excellent hair growth and thickness without using all these ingredients. The fenugreek is the key ingredient. The msm is good too but I’m seeing results without but I may add that ingredient. Start with fenugreek, virgin olive oil, a little castor, and peppermint. It still works.

    • @MsNaturallyMary
      @MsNaturallyMary  4 года назад +18

    • @MsNaturallyMary

      I understand. You definitely don’t have to use all these products. A few staples to use are the fenugreek seeds, aloe Vera, a good carrier oil like coconut, olive oil or castor oil and a stimulant oil. Reducing the recipe those key ingredients would be great for hair growth as well🤗

      It's ok maybe you used to much it only takes a little bit the sore is u clogged ur pores up u can use it after you wash ur hair and then do the oil and a light rinse it still will be in your hair and it will work I do have sore scalp sometimes but it won't if u use as a rinse or you can Mic it in your conditioner and let it stay in at least 2or3hours with blow dry or heat cap it will get in hair then rinse with cold water it still will work which ever way u choose

    Mary, may I say that I am so grateful that I chanced upon your channel! To see a beautiful woman with healthy 4c hair (like myself) is truly a blessing. It has taken me YEARS to get my hair to a healthy state and because of you, I am inspired to go beyond. I am looking to do an oil mix for my hair when I wear in a crochet style (with cornrows). Is it possible to use aloe and fenugreek in an oil mix (for every other day use)? I am concerned about flakes and product buildup.

    My hair is around bra strap length but i can’t help but feel it isn’t retaining length past this point. I recently ordered a hair tea and Ayurvedic oil. Most of my hair products are all natural and contain Ayurvedic herbs so i am hoping that helps. I also think regular trimming and properly maintaining your hair and ends on a weekly basis is key. I wish you well in this journey 😊

    Hey curl I love your hair and yes I’ve been doing the Ayurvedic method because of curly proverbs, so I use some of the herbs you’ve used so far and yes my hair is thriving. I too am trying to get to waist length along with you. I’ve started in March of this year!

  • @overspillsite5896
    @overspillsite5896 4 года назад +2

    So helpful! I’ve been trying to find information of whether those with low porosity hair should regularly use fenugreek combined with MSM.
    After watching Curly Proverbs and others, I created a fenugreek deep conditioning mask and a fenugreek water spritz. The spritz to be used every two days. But I question, does fenugreek promote protein overload and if low porosity hair can thrive long-term with regular use? Open to answers from all xx

    • @MsNaturallyMary
      @MsNaturallyMary  4 года назад

      I’m glad you found it helpful! As for the fenugreek causing protein overload, you need to test it on your hair to see how it reacts. I’m also low porosity and my hair receives it just fine. I don’t have any problems with it. 😊

    I'm on a journey now. My hair was bra strap length but I cut it off and wore it short for the past 3 years or so. Stop cutting it off in like August so now my focus is longer, thicker most importantly healthier hair.

    I purchased henna powder, amla powder, neem powder, fenugreek seed in addition added essential oils and natural oils to a container. I just started applying the mixer to my hair, I love the way my hair feels and looks. I'm slowly adding all the ingredients suggested. However, if I like the way my hair feels a few months from now, I may not add the other ingredients.

    How often do you use the oil on your hair and scalp? Daily? Weekly? Also, how often are you washing your hair? My hair texture is similar to yours so I’m just trying to get a gage on how to do this.

    I read the other comments to make sure I'm not asking a repeat question..the Feenegreek seeds don't need to be ground up to release there properties? Do they just release into the oils by sitting? Thank you so much for the information! And I love the scripture... I've been praying over my hair ever since the spirit impressed on me to big chop and go natural 🙏

    • @MsNaturallyMary
      @MsNaturallyMary  4 года назад +9

      No. The properties release while sitting in the oils. And that’s awesome. Prayer changes things! I’ve been praying over my hair too. I believe God will answer our prayers 🤗🙏🏾❤️🙌🏾

      I’ve done both...i find that the oil “infuses” way quicker when u grind them or put them in a blender with the oil. But u don’t have to...i let my oil sit a week when ground, two-three weeks when not ground up.

    • @debbiedeas
      @debbiedeas 4 года назад

      Thanks for asking this question. I’ve been scrolling through all the comments to figure out why it wasn’t blended.

      Michelle Rodgers if you let the oil sit for 1-3 weeks, how long are you able to use it? I thought it was only good for a short amount of time, but I’m pretty new to all of this recipe making.

      Debbie Deas I apologize for the confusion. The oil can infuse for 4 Wks, but can last for a few months after. Hope this helps 🤗

    Anyway, you mentioned taking MSM orally as well so I looked up the benefits of taking it. It says that it also helps tighten the skin. How do you take it orally? Do you mix it with something?

    I couldn't keep up with all the oils and ingredients as it seems that some of them do the same thing anyway or just repeat the same function as others. Im not sure if I can deal with all that oil and ingredients in one jar. I hear the same thing in some of them. I don't want to OD on the ingredients not to overload the hair with too much. I already have thick dense 4C hair but good luck. Id be checking on you to see how it all goes.

    I have been using Ayurvedic herbs for years. Even before that I used herbs for myself and my daughter’s hair who will be 43 next month, she recently did a big chop because of damage when she had her last child.Yes I firmly believe you can reach your goal. I am on a journey, my goal is to stop cutting my hair every five minutes and prove that you can have waist length hair in your sixties.

    What does the oil smell like? Hopefully it’s not pungent. I might do this as it seems very comprehensive to achieve major growth. However that’s a lot of product. I may have to modify this a bit. Gonna check my local Indian grocer to see if prices are better.
