Home RenoVision DIY Oh My Goodness! I've just seen Jesus! The EXACT demonstration I've been crawling in the wilderness of video deserts 🌵 looking for. I'm the ultimate frugal person. I'm having to do my own plumbing, because A: I'm an Ebenezer & 2: plumbers are scarce in my area and they can't stand I want to watch them work( I have a reputation) but it's because I want to learn. Yet I offer to pay them handsomely if they will just let me work with them. Last quote was 8-10,000 and I was gonna cut out the floors where needed cut out all old pipe and dig up all under ground lines. I mean what the fudge? Seems like an awesome deal to me. My last plumber hasn't called me back..... in 2 months... AAARRRGGGHHHH!!! & yes I have called repeatedly, text, voice mail.... crickets! So praise the good lord for YOU! Even though this video fringed the pornographic😯😳😬 it has been bar none the best most informative, I'm shedding tears 😭 of unbridled, hysterical JOY, I mean finally I can sleep better at night! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
If I learn from your channel, is it still appropriate for the UK? Maybe I'm learning things that are only applicable to Canada's regulations lol
I really enjoy your videos.Thank you.
@@peggypenland1560 "A" and "2"? What comes next, "iii"? LOL
Such a great video. Seriously, there is no one even close to producing this level of content for diy on the internet!
Glad you liked it! Cheers!
I totally agree! I even try to watch the ads as brainless as they are at times. You have definitely opened my eyes and given me the confidence to finish my build that my contractor walked out on.
That is so true!
Amazing content!!!
"I always watch Jeff, and have learned so much from him". Bob Villa
Back in the days of television you would be famous.
Not looking to be famous Bruce, just a good neighbor. Cheers!
He's famous on youtube. Television is dying
Home RenoVision DIY the hero we need
And to add to this, I gave up television years ago. I turned it on the other day for a client. I Flipped through 20 channels of commercials. Nope, I am not missing anything.
He kind of is famous. On DIY forums, I see "the Canadian" guy being often quoted or even videos being shared as starting advice to beginning questions.
genuinely love this guy and his attitude, he makes the most daunting asks simple and gives u the confidence to try it urself.
Cheers Jeff!
Cheers!
I do love the information and all the amazing knowledge, but watching you fight with that pipe..... priceless :D
Maybe add a laundry drain, a backflow preventer check valve(code in many places), and a floor drain for high-efficiency furnace condensate/ hot-water tank relief valve blow off, etc., to your basement mock-up. Excellent channel and content.
I just got thrown into the plumbing department at Lowe’s because I knew how to do sprinkler work and I’ve been struggling to learn how to not seem like a window licker to the customers who come in. Been watching ALOT of your stuff and it’s helped a ton. Thank you
Why not tie the vent into the existing vent?
give this man a golden globe award
My neighbor had a total plumbing disaster last week. He's fixing it now and told me so far he spent around 12k. I can't watch the premiere but I'll be watching your video when you upload it. Cheers!!
Your ability to paint a mental picture... Thank you.
Great episode! Learned a lot, even though I have been doing DIY plumbing for 30 years. My vent stack story: Years ago had a two-story house in Minnesota. There was one small gap in the wind-break trees to the north-west. About once per winter, we would get a storm that came in from just the right direction -- it would drop 8 inches of snow on the roof, and the warm moist air coming up the vent stack would freeze into a soft-ball size ball of ice. The next morning, when the air is about -15F and the wind is still blowing, I am climbing the ladder with a hockey stick to knock the ice off so that the sewer would vent again.
I don’t even have a house yet and I watch both his channel from the beginning and I can’t stop it’s just so good 😊 😇😊
Thanks for the shout out Sherrida. Cheers!
It’s called a P-trap because p is short for pneumatic. So it could also be called a gas trap or air trap. Now I feel proud that I was able to teach you something Jeff.
Loved this series I learned so much.. can't wait for the next one
Watching you struggle with the Fernco made me laugh. Been there! Done that!
There is no one I feel like following as you have some back to get the right concept come through. May God up there keep you and family safe, healthy and prosperous.👍
I have built a house all on my own except for the brickwork and have renovated several homes. However, I have learned a few things from this video that will be invaluable on my upcoming renovation. Thanks for those tips!
Happy to share. Cheers!
The music when you were fighting to get the fitting on... Love it! 😂
Awesome video, once again! Thanks Jeff!
Definitely should do more videos!!! Funny, informational and not to technical!!!🤙🏻
So glad that you and have included pecks tubing. As a mobile home owner who needs to do her plumbing this is so very helpful.
PEX for water supply has been recommended because it doesn’t freeze burst pipes as the other standards.
Thank you for this video ! ♥️
Dude, this guys knows everything about home renovation. Awesome! This man dont deserve to be underrated.
Love all your video, very informative.
It's an instant LIKE without even going to the 2nd minute of this awesome tutorial ))) now I need to find an hour to watch it in full!
A great way to learn something on a Saturday night
This channel saved me over $10k for my home remodel. One of the gem channel on YTB. Love you! Jeff!
By far, the best DYI info on the net! Jeff, you are terrific! You take your time, you explain things thoroughly, you give us often the back-story to things, and NO fast motion! I love it.
Incredibly helpful tutorial on all the most important stuff about plumbing--enough detail to go and get the job done yourself, or if any questions remain, it was clear enough to know exactly the right question to ask! Thanks Jeff for putting out some amazing content here, I look forward to many more to come!
“It does fit, but you’re gonna want to use the lubricant.”
Always sound advice. 👍🏻
Bahahaaaa…🤣 you got me 13 minutes in… Holy moly! Your stubbornness is an inspiration… refusing to get the lubricant!🤣🤣🤣 … That is what makes you PURE GOLD, Jeff! You win us over with your lighthearted approach to teaching the DIYer who needs permission to laugh at the absurdities … when they come along!❤️ I will always be a subscriber!
This is awesome. Thank you.
Your video was AWSOME! I cannot believe iI am taking the time to comment. Your way of demonstrating, instructing, and a few unintentional "blloopers" made for the most educational and enjoyable DIY videos I have ever watched., (and I've watched hundreds) I will now seek you out for all my DIY prodjects. Thank you. See you soon.
I've watched several of your videos and the time you invest is really awesome to make these videos for us! Ty so much!
Thanks! Always learning sometime new!
Thank you for the simple explanations helps a lot
Thanks for all the info! Getting near to needing all of this.
Nice job with this. tons of great info.
If you're concerned about plastic pipes delivering your drinking water, buy your drinking water separately. In plastic bottles.
LOL, I love it! And then you can live forever!Cheers!
Unfortunately plastic bottles are not safe either.
Yeah, the best bottles come from Nestle. They are rated B for best from toxicity. The only other rated B is Gerber Bottled water but don’t know where they sell it. Other than that Costco is rated at a C. And every other company including Avian, Desani and Springfield bottled waters are rated a D or F for their super toxic plastics. I once researched this when water was tasting like plastic bottle. P.S. Never buy those inexpensive deals where the water has been out in the sun in front of the store. And bottled water should be consumed within 3 months from pick up at store. The plastic holding the water breaks down and spreads to water inside. Noticed there was no company with an A rating? Stay healthy guys and good luck.
I see what you did there. 😂
Imagine when they find out that even plastic water mains are being installed with plastic services running to the houses. Still better than lead in my opinion, and there are still many many lead water services in use and even asbestos water mains.
You are generous with your time and knowledge
These videos of have saved me so much time and hassle. Top notch content!
This is a great primer to get you started in understanding plumbing.
I’m soo hooked with this channel!!
Cheers Jorge!
Same, he's such a wealth of knowledge!
I was hooked when he said "Good joint"
man for a guy that looks so young he's got like a 100 year Olds wealth of knowledge.... and freakin makes u feel like "ahh fuck it, it's no biggie just slap it on like this and that and Wallah it's fixed" very mellow and doesn't bring any unsettling vibes (stress) when showing how to fix something... i think that's the big issue ppl have with doin their own diy hm renos projects.. i admire that and wish i had that confidence inside within myself.. 🤙😁🔨🔧🪛🏠

Jeff, I love your videos. I work in plumbing and Love the expansion style "Pro Pex". Just want your views to know it even has a lesser fail rate then the rings which can corrode and sometimes have install errors. Love the content.
Awesome job Jeff
Hey 👋 guys great video with plumbing enjoying and downloading more guys for my noting.
this was awesome. I learn so much from this. it was the details that I needed to know. Thanks Jeff. great video again..
Glad it was helpful! Cheers Dan!
Not enough details there is more details to know
Hey Jeff, I've been doing a bunch of research for tackling a bathroom in my basement (currently just a rough in) and this was super helpful. I ran into it via the RUclips recommendations for related videos, but it actually wasn't in either your Bathroom or Basement playlists. This was a super helpful video, you might want to consider adding it to either/both of those so that its more easily visible to anyone looking to learn more about the plumbing before tackling a basement or bathroom project. Love your work, its a fantastic help, keep it up!
