She is just manipulative and trying to deflect away from the fact that she plead guilty to violating probation, then refused to accept any responsibility, she deserved more time in prison.

I can't believe she's talking about being the victim of injustice when the playing field is so heavily in her favor.
They only do that to black female judges. Never have we witnessed a white judge removed in that manner. It was to humiliate her. There has always been corruption involving white judges but of course the laws don't pertain to them.
To think a former judge puts themselves above the law and can do what they want, when they want when under sentence just goes to show how morally corrupt some in society have become. 🥺

My dui was a big set back and made me reevaluate my life choices. For three years I had to deal with the courts and now it’s all over and I won’t make the same mistake again. I’ve seen a couple judges go to jail now. The common denominator is always the complete lack of remorse or humility. It’s like they think no one else has the right to judge them because they’ve spent so much time with the power to judge others.
from reading up on her history it seems alcohol rather than being her best friend is her worst enemy. it can be extremely difficult dealing with a highly educated alcoholic as they believe they have the answer to everything besides never being at fault. i have dealt with alcoholic loved ones as well as impaired physicians. sobriety might be her greatest ally and hopefully could get her life and career back on track.
Her actions are the reason why this keeps going. Why does someone need to tell her to attend a program? Isn't she adult enough to know that drinking while on the bench is not acceptable, but she didn't think anyone would do anything about it. She thought if she cried enough to get off. She has to pay the price like the rest of us. Imagine that!
The defendant is not saying anything her counsel wouldn't say, and she was well spoken. She was respectful. But this is why you have counsel. Council can say things that are self-serving for the defendant and not look prideful or boastful or unrepentant. By defending herself, that is how she comes off. In fact the better she defends herself, the worse she looks. She is very capable of defending herself, maybe even the best defender, but she should have put her faith in a fellow lawyer. If someone is sent to jail for 30 days, and on day 30 they escape the prison for breakfast and return, what is the proper penalty for that offense? That's the situation here. She's already been sentenced, harshly, for the initial crime. She's now being held accountable for taking Liberty during her sentence.
@John Nelson indeed! We live in the strangest of times don't we? We deform everything with sectarianism and racial/gender ideology, especially on the social network. (You black, I'm Italian; he's gay, she's lactose intolerant: we all are oppressed and justified in being little scoundrels), But their is more I think: it is written that he who has evil in is heart will always see evil in everything. This way of thinking really poisons everything.
She was a judge, is an attorney. She knew what the laws were and ignored the law. She was being arrogant and an thought she would be okay being a minority. She was just like the other Judge Hunter. You should have gotten more time.
After never hearing about the case. I found myself wondering why they were hard on her. Then I heard the rest of the story! This was a clear case of being intitled. She felt, she need not follow the rules. It would be interesting to see how and who she represents in a court. I wonder how she will guild her clients, given the fact she chooses not to follow the courts requirements herself.
What blows my mind was when they took her out of the room she was smiling and laughing and seemed happy about going back to jail. She doesn't care. She did not learn anything. I felt that her response after she got arrested again was very disrespectful
Wow!! What kind of Judge is she??? She’s so disrespectful to the Court and Judge,no wonder she’s in the mess she’s gotten herself into… She needs to be bring it on down….
This woman did not inflict an ounce of harm on anyone. She did not cause any damage to any property, not even her own. She did not lie cheat or steal. Nor did she inflict financial harm or injury on anyone or any entity/institution. All she did was ignore a fictitious “order” from this kangaroo court. Prior to handing out the sentence, the bench judge was whining about how the defendant did not show enough “remorse” for her supposed violations of the law… the bench judge who delivered this absurd sentence should open up a dictionary and learn what the word “remorse” means. It is regret or guilt for a wrong committed. What “wrong” did the defendant commit? The primary definition of the word “wrong” (as a noun) is an INJURIOUS, UNFAIR, or UNJUST act, or an action/conduct INFLICTING HARM. No harm, no foul. The only “harm” committed here was that she didn’t follow the State’s orders, which got their panties in a bundle. Prosecuting attorney seems like a total weasel and pulled a fast one on her. He and the bench judge play a nice two-man game like the dishonorable public SERVANTS that they are. You people seem completely lost without any clue of how common law is supposed to operate in this country. That courthouse is functioning as a dry-docked admiralty vessel practicing maritime-admiralty law, which is the law of WATER, or COMMERCE… the judicial system in America was founded on common law principles which means no harm, no foul. To put this woman in jail for half a year simply because she didn’t show up for a meeting is patently absurd, and you should all be ashamed of yourselves for supporting the sentence. This comes straight from the Supreme Court: “The common law is the real law, the Supreme Law of the land, the codes, rules, regulations, policy and statutes are not the law.” Self v. Rhay, 61 Wn (2nd) 261. Now I see why the government, the courts, and all BAR attorneys consider the vast majority of the general public to be incompetent persons. If you commented on this video cheering on the half year jail sentence for a woman who inflicted no harm, you are one of those incompetent persons, and you need to wake up (sooner, rather than later). If you remain asleep, you are complicit in what is perhaps the largest scam in the history of human civilization. Wake up people...

That is nonsense they say here in this country so that an attorney can make a nice pay check at someone elses expense. Everything always comes down to money here and if someone is representing themselves in court, a lawyer will not be paid their outrageous fees or by the state to represent the person. That is why they say that to discourage people from putting a lawyer out of work by representing themselves.
True. At this point, she did the best she could as for a defense. Perhaps my statement should have included the pattern of her behavior she has displayed. @@anthonyjohndemito Not necessarily. The only court proceedings where people have the right to a lawyer are criminal cases. In any other legal matter you gotta shell out big bucks for a lawyer, or represent yourself pro se, unless you have a law degree.
BECAUSE, her ONLY statement should have been about the remorse she carries in letting down her family and community by allowing a person in the public's high trust to behave no better than any other common thug. @9:25 I love how she also wants to use the time served on a CD [that she violated], was placed on probation [that she violated, hence back in court].

The judge showed her who was the boss on this day priceless.
Tony Cherry - I concur....................
So basically what she just said is I’m not responsible for my actions I’ll do whatever I want and since I’m an extra age we need to dismiss the charges kind of crap that owner didn’t.
The defendant still refuses to believe she has a serious problem with alcohol and following the terms of her probation. She may be educated in law but she sure isn't very smart.
Her arrogance and preaching to the judge is her downfall.
She couldn't help herself. As Tommy Sotomayor would say "just another hair hatted hooligan acting a fool again!"
She almost pulled me in with her sob story. Watching her laugh as she was led away in cuffs destroyed any pity I had remaining after the Judge made her case.
Same. Without knowing any of the background, she had me convinced she was being treated unfairly. Once the judge responded her sob story seemed far less convincing. When she smirked at the end I knew she got what she deserved.
Tom Askey I agree. I was feeling bad for her but when the judge read the number if times she was given another chance, then refused to show up to probation, and ....THEN SMILE AND GIGGLE ON HER WAY OUT? Id give her a year.

Smirking after sentencing: outside bravado, inside totally pissed off.
Tom Askey no respect for the law
same here. just what everyone is saying here. sob story was good, but then the chances she was given my eyebrows went up. the giggle at the end is what sent me into the comments. something about her cousin in the grey sweater, and something about getting on camera then giggles. See ya
@9:25 I love how she also wants to use the time served on a CD [that she violated], was placed on probation [that she violated, hence back in court]. And, how's this for over-arching on a position, in NYS the court doesn't have to take into account any time served outside of the time served while in jail or prison. Maybe if she took a step back, as a former judge she would have thought of that.
This woman is one of the most well spoken, articulate women I’ve ever seen or heard in my life. Dont know what it is about her but she could talk me out of the only pair of shoes I own whilst standing in the desert & could convince me that I’m a millionaire knowing I’m not 😂
