I bought the K690 at the beginning of the year, and I'm glad I did - it's look slick and futuristic as compared to it's garish-looking competitor, the Blue Yeti, and at half the price? Winner, winner, chicken dinner....
Awesome video! I ended up selling the Blue Yeti and keeping the Fifine. Fifine is a much smaller and lighter form factor but higher build quality and feels very luxurious but blue yeti is much larger, heavier but doesn’t feel as luxurious and the paint eventually chips. Blue yeti is also far more sensitive and picks up a lot more background noise even when the gain is down whereas I don’t have that issue with Fifine. The Fifine controls feel a lot smoother than the blue yeti too.
lol thanks! As much as I'd love to review camera's and all things tech I don't have any plans currently to review any camera's in the near future, but am happy to answer comments with regards to camera Qs!
I've just recently have got into studio grade, "audiophile" headphone audio so I have been learning a whole lot of things I didn't know about before, and this video added a nice other dimension to that audio world. Not sure if I will ever get into mics (headphone side-hobby is already getting pricey, lol), but this mic looks like it would be a good one. And it's reasonably priced, to boot. Thanks for the show Julian!
Hey man, thanks for watching and supporting! I had to somewhat cut my audiophile addiction long time ago, used to exclusively have all my music in FLAC! How times have changed!
For singing I would advise for someting totally different,a cheap solution like an some music store brand mics or a cheap shure. The mics you listed, idk. for just trying out i guess they are ok and I would opt for the fifine. Best bet is to go to a music store and explain what you want to do, get proper advise from professionals. These mics here are consumer grade stuff that you can use for simple tasks, not for actual singing or recording an instrument. For hobby type scenarios and just having some fun recording, yes, they are ok.
A question that I want to ask you friend, if you can guide me, with which recording program did you make the video, I ask you this, because many people who review said microphone do not explain if they applied any filter, because the microphone yes or yes, it has a noise floor, how did you improve it?
Thanks a lot for the great review once again. Do you suggest the K690 over the T699 in my use case, which is gaming/zoom calls. The mic will probably be standing next to my monitor, so quite far away. I know that this will effect the quality, but do you think one will perform better over the other with this in mind. I do like the attachments that come with the T699, but a mute button is quite useful as well. Thanks a lot, will be clicking on one of those referral links when I order. Keep it up!
Hey that's awesome! Either would be fine, I would suggest the K690 if the mute button/headphone jack and monitoring are needed. Or if you think the different pickup patterns would help what you're recording. Otherwise you can't beat the t669 kit for what it comes with.
Excellent review on the pick up patterns. Very useful demonstration. I’m thinking it’s pronounced as Fy-Fine but the word looks french, hence similar sounding to the name Tiffany but with an F at the beginning instead.
Hey - I bought the K669 Fifine microphone from one of your earlier reviews. The problem is that when I speak really close to the microphone there's too much bass or hum in my voice which I don't like. In this video when you spoke really close to the mic there was none of that, any suggestions on how to deal with that?
Ideally you want to aim to speak 6-8" away, using a popscreen or filters like that will help as well as appropriately setting the gain when speaking close (it would need to change from a distance). Otherwise if your recording try learning about EQ.
Wow thanks for that; you explained and demonstrated the pickup patterns perfectly! Great video review. Maybe next you should do headphones and update yours LOL 😁👍
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE lol yea, never would have gotten that without reading their statement. Pretty strange way of spelling it with that pronunciation.
I bought this mic four days ago and I can't find how to record in Binaural, sounds from left to right ear. I capture the sounds with Audacity. In my ears it is in stereo when I record but on Audacity it's not and I'm stuck I can't find how to have the stereo on audacity... If someone could help me please...
What microphone are you use for this video? I'm trying to find something I don't need right on my mouth. Noticed you don't have any microphone visual in your videos and you sound great! That's exactly what I'm looking for
It is a better mic for sure, however, if you're starting out with nothing the T669 Kit really does give you everything, where as the K690 has more features in a microphone itself, yet does not come with all the accessories, which can be quite necessary depending on your recording use.

Nice happy to hear your enjoying your purchase!
I agree and think the Blue Yeti isn’t the sleekest looking! I had both and sold the blue yeti and keeping the Fifine.
Hi! What software do you use to record the audio of the mic?
OBS in the video, but that's probably overkill for just simple audio recording - you can use any.
do i need to use the included cable, or can i use a micro to usb c/lightning
Is it cool for recording ? I want to start sharing RUclips content
Absolutely!
I like that it's USB cable isn't attached directly to the mic. If it gets damaged it can be fixed/swapped without buying a new mic.
Yea, that's definitely a plus!

I didn’t even need a microphone but now I want one. Informative and amazing 🔥
Hey will you be doing any cameras in the future?
lol thanks! As much as I'd love to review camera's and all things tech I don't have any plans currently to review any camera's in the near future, but am happy to answer comments with regards to camera Qs!
I love the feature with the small chapters. Perfectly organized, thank you
Lol, thanks! Keeps things organized and helps viewers to find the exact content they're looking for!

Fifine K690 or maono au 903
Or Maono pm422 which is best for singing,???
Please rank all three microphones. Please answer 🙏

Another awesome review!! Love that! Thank you so much!🔥👍
No problem!
It is not so easy to talk fluently about a Product. I cant imagine the amount of work behind this but i sure appreciate it.👐
Thanks for watching supporting! Definitely a ton of work to put this all together!

No filter was applied. It was recorded straight with OBS

Great video. I own a FiFine mic and it is awesome, specially if you consider the price point.
Yea, they're really great Mics, especially considering the price point - this is somewhat of a followup to the last video!

I bought a T669 and it just never worked on both my mac and pc BLEH!
Wow thanks for that; you explained and demonstrated the pickup patterns perfectly! Great video review.

Lol thanks! I actually did update my headphone a while back, but they were being used to monitor the lav audio by the camera op!
Your Asus laptop what the spec. I like the way it looks at the outside.
Asus Zenbook amzn.to/3kaZajx

YEEE
Can a usb mic speak out ?
It's officially pronounced "fine-fine" as per a company statement.
haha interesting that's the pronunciation, given the spelling!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE lol yea, never would have gotten that without reading their statement. Pretty strange way of spelling it with that pronunciation.
Great video. Do you recommend the k690 over the Razer Seiren Mini?

Audacity issue for sure, don't use it so can't help yah unfortunately!
Compared to HyperX Quadcast S.....?
The Fifine is the better deal for sure, but won't have any RGB lights lol.
jack cable doesnt fit in the microphone all the way
often cuts out
Awesome video! Super helpful, thanks man
Glad it helped!
Great video, really learnt a lot about this mic and mics in general. Thanks for teaching me the need to know things when considering mics!
Damn I am in love with your room.
Thanks Rafay!

Yup, I actually already did that this is the exact same unit here: ruclips.net/video/DI47yfXwm-I/видео.html
can you test the fifine k658 please
Thank you
You're welcome
Nice video!
Utilizing the sound card in the microphone is probably less processing for your computer too, pretty cool!
Yea, a few people we're asking about headphone jacks and stuff in the last vid! It's great too if you're recording to reduce latency issues and such!
Would you recommend this microphone compared to the Fifine T669?
It is a better mic for sure, however, if you're starting out with nothing the T669 Kit really does give you everything, where as the K690 has more features in a microphone itself, yet does not come with all the accessories, which can be quite necessary depending on your recording use.

Saramonic UMic9
