What an absolutely fun way to start my day! Thank you, Helen! Popcorn. Popcorn dress, squirrels, a jolly chuckle, and a fab sewing tip. Doesn't get much better than that.
Woohoo! I love the joke! Plus, while I've heard of block fusing before, I just realised it will fix something that has caught me out a few times ... where your separately cut interfacing and pattern piece _gets smaller_ (!) after you fuse them together and then doesn't fit nicely when you are sewing things together. This way they'd already be fused and thus when you cut them out to the shape of your pattern piece, they'll be the right size. Oh frabjous day!
(Yes, I really hated it when I got caught out by that.)
