#5 makes a lot of sense because really, the glittery thread goes through a lot of direction changes and rubbing and whatnot when used from the spool, but from the bobbin it really only gets moved by one thing at the most.
So True! And when gathering fabtic, the gathering stitches are easier to pull through the bobbin side because those stitches are slightly loose then the top stitching.
I've really enjoyed your daily advent, thank you for taking the time to do it - they've been great 🙂 and thank you for using my 2 tips - I'm glad they were helpful. We've all learnt lots 😁
This is the first advent calendar, either online or IRL that I've had the patience to follow completely. normally I either get bored halfway through a series or, in the case of those little chocolate-filled advent calendars I had as a kid, I just opened all the little doors at once. So thank you so much for this lovely series!
Helen, your Opera dress, the joke, and collection of tips were perfect for the ending of the advent calendar series! I have thoroughly enjoyed this and wish you and your family a happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your Advent Calendar and seeing all your lovely makes. I was undecided as to whether it would be this dress or the Marilyn Monroe one that would be featured today! Whichever, both are beautiful. Thank you so much! x
Thank-you so much for this daily delight which I have looked forward to each day in December. I've loved it all. Best wishes to you and your family from New Zealand.
The interfacing fused pattern piece reminded me of another tip. I saw a tutorial for a cowl neck top that a busy mom makes regularly. Simplicity 1716. She makes it so often that she made pattern pieces out of flannel. It sticks easily to the next fabric that you make the top out of, making it easy to cut out. Flannel also makes great design walls for quilters. Hmmmm now I'm wondering if I should stick garment pieces on the wall for current project in progress. Kisses for Matilda.
I loved this series. There were so many tips that were new to me. It was a little bit of cheer every day and it was nice to see you and your beautiful dress again. Thanks for the vlog. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I took bets with myself that the Pretty Woman dress would be the last day of Advent 😀 Merry Christmas to you and your family Helen and look forward to seeing you back on YT in the New Year xxx
I have enjoyed the series but I had made myself a bet too about which dress you would wear today. I was sure it would be the Marilyn. Perhaps next time?
Thank you -- have enjoyed every single day! And that's quite a gift this year. Thank you. Hope rediscovering your lovely makes (and beautiful frocks!) has helped you, too, rediscover some good cheer. :-)
Greetings from Calgary, Ive sew 🤣enjoyed this advent calendar, your jokes have made laugh each morning. Merry Christmas and have a safe healthy new year.

In order to more easily thread my machine needle, I keep a small (traveler's size) extra-hold hair spray and spray the end of my thread!🥰✝️🎄
