The Director said he screwed up big time when making this scene, he out did himself so well with story boarding and using ex-Secret Service as advisors on this scene that it made the end of the film SUPER anti climatic and dull compared to this scene. To further prove how well done this scene was and still is to this day, the US Secret Service will use this scene in its training session because it was done so realistically and accurate to what agents should be doing. Publicly is the ONLY film the USSS will admit to being really good.
Kinda like the night club scene from John Wick.
I don't know. I really liked the ending of the film where they escape the cartel. It's not as intense as this, for sure, but still pretty good.
This was one of the best Jack Ryan flicks of all time.

It's really well done. In the book, neither Ryan or Dan Murray are there, and it's a very quick event. I quite like how they did it in the film.

I remember this was a very intense scene and movie. I was surprised it got a PG-13 instead of an R rating considering how violent it was. Strong PG-13 for sure. Great movie though! Crazy how Ford was the only survivor but that was plot armor of course.

Well according to IMDb, The film originally received an R rating, but won a PG-13 rating on appeal without making any edits.

youtube gets worse day after day, year after year. It's basically network tv at this point, endless ads & bleeping "bad words". Oh and the being unable to make much if any criticism in comments due to a list of words that shadowban you that is essentially dictionary length now.
@@TerryBowles-qm3qcThe shadowbanning is ridiculous. If they’re going to remove comments they should at least tell you. It’s such a waste of time having to open the same video in a private window just to see if your comment shows up.
@@akapple3538 What really gets me angry is when I make an effort to post something worthwhile in response to someone, and it gets wiped out because of a word that triggered the shadowban system yet I can't identify which, waste a bunch of time trying to edit the post to make it appear, it still doesn't, and I wind up just scrapping the whole effort.
I was around for the early days of youtube and I really miss what it once was. Even as it evolved it was still at least pretty good with the comments being most self/community moderated but the last several years have been laughable failed soviet bloc republic level censorship. And yes, the way they choose to deal with it is the least respectable way they could possibly pick, and that is because the people who own and operate youtube right now are a bunch of a word that will trigger that shadowban, so lets just say they are wards of cows, but without the w.

This movie is i think in my top 3 of Harrison ford movies. I love all the hack ryan films, but this and patriot games are my favorites.

Raiders Of The Lost Ark and Last Crusade are both better, this is probably joint best Jack Ryan movie with The Hunt For Red October, or maybe 2nd
