Hall & Oates are one of the best pop rock duo groups in the 70's-80's. They had a lot of great hits such as "Rich Girl", Kiss On My List", "Private Eyes", "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)", "Maneater", "Out Of Touch", "Sara Smile", "You Make My Dreams", "Family Man", "Say It Isn't So", "Method Of Modern Love" etc.
Hall & Oates are the greatest duo of all time. Love their music. I have all their albums. Great in concert as well. It’s amazing they’re still doing this for over six decades.
Amazing performance! And you're right James, the music in the past, particularly the 60s, 70s and 80s, had way more substance, meaning, creativity and soul.
This is an awesome live performance but the studio version is my favorite. It' dope! I love Hall & Oats!! Looks like you're feeling better my friend.🙏🏻🙏🏻
Darryl & John are the geniuses who you here in Target and elevators without you ever never knowing who sang it. Once you listen to their collection, you’ll realize how they’ve always been in your ear. They are BEAST!
When this came out in the early 70s a friend introduced me to this song with the statement "this is what Otis Redding would be doing now if he were still alive" I believe he nailed it. I would have loved to have heard Otis do this one.
You might enjoy everything from 'Live from Daryl's House" aka LFDH. Amazing live performances with visiting guest artists at Daryl's home studio. Edit: I should've left an example. 'Love Train w/O'Jays' ruclips.net/video/FSlO_g6-ZXM/видео.html
I have been waiting and searching for this reaction, for your words of truth here. The truth. We have lost so much….we have lost many traditions, many values and the soul of music.
I saw John Oates at the Talladega 500 back in 80 or 81. He was the guy who started the race. He waved the green flag. They were also filming Stroker Ace that day. Burt Reynolds was there, too.
Your one of my favorite reaction channels. This is a great song. Glad you liked it ❤️. You should try. " The Baby's ". They have some great songs like "isn't it time" and "Everytime I think of you"
Back in the day, I really got sick of them because it was played to death in the clubs. I can step back now and fully enjoy it all again in a fresh way that I can appreciate.
Hall & Oates was a very big deal... back in the day, huge amounts of hits. Some of the best R&B, blue-eyed soul you'll ever hear. This is another suggestion; in case you're interested. "Hall & Oates - Rich Girl (Live Midnight Special 1978)" Although, I wonder if you'd be interested in checking out some blues rock "The Allman Brothers Band - Melissa (Lyrical Video)" 🔥🎸😎🎶this is southern blues rock at its best💖🤗
Totally unrelated... but the next time you take a trip thru Olivia Newton-John's discography, may I suggest a few songs... I'm gonna suggest off the usual beaten path with some of these (I mean pick the hits if you want... of course... I'm just suggesting) "Come On Over" (written by Barry/Robin Gibb) (album) "If Not For You" (written by Bob Dylan) and also the live performance! (and 1st big hit) “Tied Up” (80s goodness music video) “My Old Man’s Got A Gun” (live performance) "Deeper Than The Night" (music video) "Gimme Some Lovin’" (from 1 of her specials and/or album) "The Air That I Breathe" (midnight special and/or album)
Hi James! Love your reactions and ..she's gone ...was great! I have lost my emogies!!!! So smiley face!!! I would like to recommend to you a 2020 release of Tall Stories on Short Street. By Bragg and Hemsworth. Best wishes from uk
Daryl Hall from Hall and Oats......He now brings in Artists from past 5 decades to Jam at his house..Daryls House...he sounds better now, but live Jams are great. Cee Loo Green is a good one to start with. Train, Smokey Robinson, so many Artists to choose from just pick.... Just go to Daryls House, Cee Loo Green
In my opinion, anything past the 80's, not a fan! I am a child of the 70's and 80's. Best music time for me! ONJ passing very sad. My 29 year old daughter was a huge fan! We love her and alot of disco in this house! You are so nice and real! Keep doing great videos and commentary!
I was born in the 60s and had a whole lot of creativity to listen to...I love music it's my drug but today's so called music does nothing but upset me or depress me, so agree with you about the music situation that exists today... Autotune to be a music star, sell music and perfofm live?...Riiight...🤔😵😢😤
All I listen to is old school. I like a lot of different old school genres but R&B is my favorite!! This new age music kills souls, I will not even watch people reacting to new crap!!!
The whole world has changed so much I have to say not for the good either. We need more music with beautiful lyrics not with the trash these days. Keep on rocking in the free world brother JB.👏🏼🙏🏽🎸

I also feel that Adult Education is one of their best undercover hits.
You're 100% correct about the new music. It's NOTHING compared to the REAL talent in music we used to have.
Hall & Oates are the greatest duo of all time. Love their music. I have all their albums. Great in concert as well. It’s amazing they’re still doing this for over six decades.

This is like the death metal of soul music. So powerful that it gives goosebumps.
The album cut is so much better.
I am not a HALL and OATES fan at all, however, there is no denying, supremely talented with a huge catologue of hits and accomplishments.
So that was totally positive energy from you from start to finish. You can’t hide that smile and that upbeat stuff! You GO!
I love Hall & Oates music
Hey! Glad you’re doing well! I used to work for these guys. They are the real deal. Super talented. They write, play, sing, produce - you name it!
What did you do?
Hence your name?! Love it btw!!
I love Hall and Oates!!
This is an awesome live performance but the studio version is my favorite.
It' dope! I love Hall & Oats!! Looks like you're feeling better my friend.🙏🏻🙏🏻

Yes old music such talent and puts you in a better place. Thanks for your reaction and honesty! 🙂
Hall and Oates "Man eater", "I can't go for that", "Kiss is on my list", "Private Eyes". (original videos).
❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️
You have an old soul, James, and that's a compliment! The way you appreciate music from back in the day shows your good taste.
Never heard this till the noughties and it gives me the chills. Incredible song.

John Oates came up to my brother in the dog food isle of a grocery store, one time, and was talking to him about dog food. 😂
Rob Thomas and Daryl doing this together is so stellar
Saw them live twice , fabulous 🇬🇧
I have been waiting and searching for this reaction, for your words of truth here. The truth. We have lost so much….we have lost many traditions, many values and the soul of music.
These two had very slick production and Hall had the big voice, nice stuff
What you said about the industry burying raw talent these days is spot on.
I saw John Oates at the Talladega 500 back in 80 or 81. He was the guy who started the race. He waved the green flag. They were also filming Stroker Ace that day. Burt Reynolds was there, too.
Love ❤️ Hall & Oaks! They just get better with age!!
I saw them live in the 80's. They were fabulous. I still have my ticket stub. lol
Love your shout out to the underground artists Love you
Another great song that I only heard recently from 1976 was
Klaatu Calling occupants (covered by the carpenters) x
Hall & Oates put each 4 long time. 👁️ heard they haven't talk 2 each in 8 year. But the duo put on so many hit and albums. Before their was cd.
GREAT SONG!
Great comments! I totally agree with you!
Your one of my favorite reaction channels. This is a great song. Glad you liked it ❤️. You should try. " The Baby's ". They have some great songs like "isn't it time" and "Everytime I think of you"
You are so right about new music. I’m 60 and I don’t really listen to music after 1990’s. It’s just not as good. Thanks for bringing back good music!
Great reaction and I agree with everything you said, thank you.
From the same year as Hall n Oates She's gone, I'd love it if you could react to Joan Armatrading Love and affection x
Hal and Oaks are the best selling duo of all time music today pales in comparison to old school!
Back in the day, I really got sick of them because it was played to death in the clubs. I can step back now and fully enjoy it all again in a fresh way that I can appreciate.
Love your intelligent reactions.
Gonna see Darryl Hall (the blonde) with Todd Rundgren in Nov. Can't wait.
Let me be the first? Daryl’s House with Cee Lo Greene. Then, more Daryl’s House.
Hall & Oates was a very big deal... back in the day, huge amounts of hits. Some of the best R&B, blue-eyed soul you'll ever hear. This is another suggestion; in case you're interested. Oh This Song Is A True Gem , I Can Get Down To This !! Great Reaction As Always ♡
Totally unrelated... but the next time you take a trip thru Olivia Newton-John's discography, may I suggest a few songs... I'm gonna suggest off the usual beaten path with some of these (I mean pick the hits if you want... of course... I'm just suggesting)

Once in a while a great new artist or group will happen that offers something special.and different. 30.and 40 years ago it was MOSTLY that.
Hi James! Love your reactions and ..she's gone ...was great!
I have lost my emogies!!!! So smiley face!!!
I would like to recommend to you a 2020 release of Tall Stories on Short Street. By Bragg and Hemsworth. Best wishes from uk
Love studio version but this Version excellent to so good live
♥️
This was a whopper of a hit.
❤️❤️❤️
You are so right - so much music today has no substance or soul or meaning or actual real talent.
I agree 100& Ronnie Milsap lost in the 50s tonight or Smokie Mountain Rain are classics.
Just go to
Daryls House, Cee Loo Green
It’s rightly called blue eyed soul.

Check out Todd Rundgren's song , "Soul Brother" for his take on current music.
Ever been to the Grand Canyon
Tragically hip my dude
React on Daryl Hall song "dreamtime "
All I listen to is old school. I like a lot of different old school genres but R&B is my favorite!! This new age music kills souls, I will not even watch people reacting to new crap!!!
This was like 47 yrs ago so i guess things have changed so ill go ahead and tell you. That was an organ not a piano.
Please listen to the studio version. You don't need to review it, but lust listen
The whole world has changed so much I have to say not for the good either. We need more music with beautiful lyrics not with the trash these days. Keep on rocking in the free world brother JB.👏🏼🙏🏽🎸
Have you heard The Doobie Brother’s?
Tell the boot lickers to kick rocks! You be you and people will watch.
Once again shoulda reacted to the original. This version doesn’t encompass the beauty of the original recording
This live version is really bad
Only at the start
Not my favorite version, but not the worst. 🤣
Yea, if this was the only version I heard I wouldn't think much of it. Everything seems off.
sorry, this was an aweful version of this song. but your reaction was respectable.
Hermano totally agree with you about new music!
