Great review! Most thorough I have seen on the 2023. Hadn’t realized the extent of differences in Canadian and US models. As owner of 2021 Limited model, we are still loving it! Always interested in updates in newer models! Who knows if we might want a second one in the future! Do wish the mirrors folded in as mine got hit parked in small town America! Would love a sable/tan interior! Jealous of the new massaging seats!!
Hi Ed. Thanks for the review. Could you please explain little bit more about the tow feature. What does this feature helps with/improves exactly? It it the same tow capacity 5000lb as in 2020-2022. Right? If you can look deeper about some advantages with tow feature would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Thx for the comment.. The Palisade in the video is exactly as it comes from the factory. Great to see a detailed Canadian review! I've got a deposit in for one from a couple cities away from you. Too bad there's no 3rd row heated seats for us. There is no digital key for Canada? Does putting it in one of the terrain modes do the same as the lock button on the versions from other countries? Great video - very informative!

This is a great review of the new 2023 Palisade !!! However, it is also disappointing that it is still missing the power-folding side mirrors that have been available on the Kia Telluride for a few years now. I wonder if by now someone has identified a third party that could add this option, hopefully.
Thanks for the comment, the reason there's no power folding mirrors is actually an agreement between Kia and hyundai. Kia wanted to have an option that Hyundai didn't and this is what they came up with.
That's too bad. I had been watching the Palisade since it was initially released, hoping that Hyundai would add the power-folding side mirrors. Most people need them in order to get into their narrow garages these days - bummer. Thanks again for the very detailed review!!!!
It’s a nice SUV. I still don’t understand why you can’t get the second row bench on the top trims. If I am paying for the top tier trim, I should be able to get all the seats. The new Honda Pilot offers the best solution.

I'm not in the US. I'm in Canada. There's an agreement between Kia and Hyundai that only the Telluride would get the power folding mirrors for now. Pretty minor thing though, shouldn't be a deal breaker
Thank you for the comment! Yeah, didn't see much point in mentioning it. What you do, is when you're at a light and the engine shuts off, if you think the light is about to turn green, pull up on the brake pedal a bit, just enough for the engine to start but not enough that you start moving. That way when the light does turn green, it's already running..
It takes a bit of getting used to, but it's a good system that'll save you about 4% fuel cost.
@@edsgarage001 thanks. This is very helpful. How about the trunk space? I do a lot of road trips and the trunk of my subaru is a little small. The 3rd row is not good for my tall don and there is only 2 usb on one side in the 3rd row. So how is the space in the 3rd row and the trunk when the 3rd row is used? How many suit cases can you put there?
Would love a more in depth video on the "head unit" and all it does. Not seeing much on the previous videos...unless I missed them
You know what? I just checked, and you're right.....i didn't really cover much in those other videos.
The Calligraphy video at the 20 minute mark, I did talk about it for a couple minutes. But yeah, i think I'll make a separate video about the screen specifically.
Done!

You should have sound check the audio system....to reassure that the music don't sound distorted on full volume.
🤨 why? You should never crank a stereo to full volume. Always keep it a few notches below max
A good looking SUV for sure and a good quick overview. Where is the heated 3rd row seats and the conversation mirror they were bragging about ?
In Canada, we don't get those unfortunately.
Thx for the comment!
Obviously we will pay more for less as there is no price break for getting less, what suckers we are.
@@troyklassen1473 Actually i think they're more expensive in Korea.
In Europe Hyundais are significantly more expensive and have way way WAY less features
I was just comparing them to the American vs Canadian
@@troyklassen1473 fair enough
Picking ours up today!
Congrats!
This has got to be one of the first ones in Canada ...
It's definitely "one of" yes

Tell her to contact me at Mertin Hyundai.
I have a co-worker at Mertin GM i can set her up with
I am looking for a dodge 1500 series podcast not white used 16 18,000 thousand dollars and low mileage one pre-owned by one person four-wheel-drive do you have any
Afraid not
I heard the third row seats are heated too !
Not in Canada.... Strangley.
But yes, in America and other markets, they are.
Yesssssss so in love ❤
Thx for the comment!
Is the spare tire full size?
No,
I can't think of any vehicle on the market that has a full size spare, with the exception of off road vehicles like jeeps and pickup trucks
It's a very good car
Yeah!
Auto-folding side mirrors option is available around the World but not only in the US. Why? Good question. That should be adressed directly to Hyundai US and your US authorities.
I'm not in the US. I'm in Canada.
There's an agreement between Kia and Hyundai that only the Telluride would get the power folding mirrors for now.
Pretty minor thing though, shouldn't be a deal breaker
Supposedly the Korean version has power folding sideview mirrors. I have never heard a reviewer mention this. Nice review though!
Thank you for the comment!
Yeah, didn't see much point in mentioning it.
The reason is actually because Kia USA and Kia Canada have agreements with Hyundai that only the telluride would get the power folding mirrors.
But unlike the telluride , the Palisade gets the power folding 3rd row, body colored wheel arches, and shift by wire gear selector.
@@edsgarage001 That is interesting details about the Kia agreements with Hyundai for USA and Canada.
I definitely would prefer the Palisade over the Telluride or others of its class. Thanks for the great review!
I really don't understand why people complain about not having "usb-c" outlets not in cars. Some cares just have 1 outlet, take what you can get lol.
Right!?!?
Gud job mate,it comes on 2.2litre in Australia as well.
Thank you!
Yeah we only get the one engine option here unfortunately.
what color is that?
This is steel Graphite.
Thx for the comment!
Nice. What color is that?
Thx,
Steel Graphite
does the SE version have those rims too?
No, they're reserved for the top trim
Thane for the comment!
The 2023 still has wind noise problems with the driver's window and make sure you check out the passenger windows many of them have a haze on them. Buyer beware - really look over yours before you buy it. Disappointed with mine.
The wind noise issue was addressed early on in the 2020 model with a weather strip recall.
I've not heard any issues since then.
Strange
Seems like you're one of the first ones in Canada..
Possibly, no idea.
Thx for the comment!
I will get mine tmr!
Awesome!
How much does it cost?
Depends on where you live....
I'm in BC Canada, and they're about $59,000 before fees/taxes
Thanks i follow you from iraq
Thanks for the support!
Please tell me the overhead console lights in the 2023 Palisade are backlit. Anyone? 2020 Palisade Limited does not have backlit overhead console lights.🤨
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out what you're referring to.... But for the life of me, I'm not sure what you mean.
Overhead console?
I'm sorry, I'm wracking my brain here but can't figure it out lol
Great Video
Thanks!!
Where is the window sticker and cost of the vehicle in black and white please
It depends on your location... Best to check with your local dealership
@@edsgarage001 I called a Hyundai dealer there 64.000 about 14.000
To much for any kind of Korean suv you can buy a 23 Subaru tourney for
50 and a whole lot more resale, value and maintenance frer
Find a different dealership....
Subaru definitely won't have better resale. The Palisade is one of the most sought after larger SUVs on the market
@@edsgarage001 MMR on a 2023 Hyundai pal asides is 53-54
It list for 64 you lose ten grand the minute you leave the store a Subaru touring 2022 list for 46.000for 50
A 2023 Subaru touring list for 50.000 MMR is 45 a 2022 list for 47000 MMR is still 40 with 6000 miles several Subaru dealers discount them 2000 to 3500 the Hyundai has a lot of eyeball 👁️ but not worth 64/65000 for all the bling
What about the fog lights, I do not see them.
It doesn't have fog lights. But the headlights are mounted low enough.
Still no electric rearview mirrors? What?
Agreement with Kia prevents them from having power folding mirrors.
Small niggle in an otherwise amazing vehicle
Excellent video.
Thanks!
Why does the Korean version, have 3 headlights and the Canadian and US version only have 2 headlights. Another thing , why does the gas cover not lock? With gas prices so high, people are stealing gas.
The gas door locks,
And the down pipe has an anti syphon block in it.
As for the headlights, regulations are different country to country
Dang, the paint doesn't even match. The front half of the car is darker, what happened? Was this car in an accident or is it like this from the factory?
You're just seeing a flaw in how the camera picks up the colours. It's not like that in person
After purchasing this vehicle, you would have to sleep in it the way Hyundai has added such a mark up on this vehicle 😂😂😂.
I wanted to get it, but I couldn't get them to work with the markup, so I got the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum and am so glad I did. It's loaded with great features and much cheaper 😂😂😂.
There's a reason....
I can't believe there is not No Power Folding Mirrors. Santa FE calligraphy has it.
There's currently an agreement between Hyundai and kia, Kia gets the power folding mirrors on the telluride where Hyundai gets the power folding third row.
korean car is very nice
Yessir!
Cannot believe they did not add a power electric steering telescopic/tilt … imagine two drivers and each one has to adjust the steering wheel titl/telescopic …
They are still behind in luxury .. they don’t have the active damping suspension system
Find another vehicle in its class with as many features for the price.... Good luck.
It has self leveling rear suspension.
@@edsgarage001
Still the highlander and pathfinder are way better …
The Korean cars suffers from the last magic touch ..like road noise and wind noise ..
Check reviews wind noise issues with palisade … the other major problem dealers don’t treat the brand Hyundai very well when you go to service vehicle… any new sound you hear in the car the dealer will always tell working as manufactured that sound is normal even you tell them I started hearing this just today …
Their service is terrible that’s why it’s cheap !!!
@@mshaker335 I work at a dealer, and that's not true. Some dealers are worse then others, and it doesn't matter what brand, you can run into that anywhere.
The wind noise issues were resolved with a recall in the first 6 months of production.
If you're correct, then why does every reviewer agree that the Palisade and Telluride are the top two options on the market?
I don't think you've actually even gone and compared these vehicles in person. The Pathfinder isn't even in the same league.
where is the drivers thigh support...new
That was already in the previous model years ...
@@edsgarage001 actually there was a new one shown on asian petrol, different than any others
@@ThatGuy-kv1kw not surprising. Korea is the home market, so they get all the goodies first
If only they had put a better engine in it. Detuned Stinger engine works.
What's wrong with the 3.8? It's a phenomenal engine
I've always thought the same thing but I drove one this last weekend and it's plenty peppy for the vast majority of people's needs. I'm just waiting for mine to come in now. With that being said, if they do throw that 3.3l in it, I'll be trading it in for sure.
@@thorsky2754 so you don't like it becase the engine is responsive and powerful?
I just don't get it why there's no auto folding. That's ez programming for hyundai
Auto folding what? Mirrors? That's a lot more then just programming. It would require electric motors and mechanicals in the mirrors.
@@edsgarage001 lol if u can adjust ur mirror then u have the electric motors and the mechanicals in the mirrors. U are not adjusting them by ur hands right?
@@flandrescarlet486 uhh no.. when you adjust the mirrors, it only moves the mirror glass, not the entire housing. To fold the entire housing, it would need an additional electric motor and mechanical function.
@@edsgarage001 Still no power folding mirrors??? This should be a simple addition, as it has been available on the Kia Telluride for a few years now!!! This is a show-stopper for me! So I will be buying the new 2023 Toyota Grand Highlander when it is released later this year, as it will offer the power-folding side mirrors - a nice option !!!

An old school engine. Prone to carbon buildup. Very noisy when driving.
I don't get the noisy when driving.. these are quite quiet.
The GDI engine is fine as long as you do the fuel induction service stated in the maintenance guide at the proper intervals.
I found it much quieter compared to the redesigned Pilot
The gas mileage is horrible omg everything else great but the gas range not good at all
It comes in third compared to the Highlander, pilot and atlas... But has more power then two of those three

Hyundai used better materials compared to other brand like Honda, Toyota etc
What I don’t like? ❌
Maintenance in the dealer expensive ❌
Parts are expensive and every dealer have different prices all expensive ❌
They force me to buy OEM parts front eBay’s and OEM parts website BECAUSE HYUNDAI DO NOT HAVE A PRICES CONTROL OVER THE ❌❌DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT ❌❌

I have never spent money at the dealer only oil change everything else is a waste of money 💵❌❌❌❌❌
❌also very important HYUNDAI HAVE SOME MAINTENANCE THAT YOU CAN ADD TO THE CAR DURING THE BUYING PROCESS THAT WILL COVER ALL MAINTENANCE BUT THE SALES PERSON THEY WILL NEVER OFFER YOU THAT❌ make sure that you check if you can add those to the car.
