I love Berkut purely because, unlike Black Knight, we see his mental state degrade from stable and proud, to insane and desperate. I love Black Knight, he’s an amazing villain, but when Berkut sacrificed Rinea ... IMO, the murder of such a pure and innocent woman was a lot more emotional than the loss of Greil. He was a warrior after all, and he went down with honour.
I feel With Mila's Divine Protection and Twilight of the Gods should've been higher, but that's just my opinion. Anyway, awesome video! (I can't believe I went so long not realizing I put a question mark!) :)

The twist for Grima might still not be that great in Awakening, but Echoes does a good job in reviving his character. By the time Awakening comes along, we now know that Grima is on his third encounter with legendary heroes. Further, given that he was a creation comprised of an amalgamation of the worst elements of life and death, he is not all knowing but is fairly omnipotent and definitely omni-malicious. Funnily enough, I can tell you where Monstrosity plays off the top of my head. It plays when you fight Validar in Chapter 23. Specifically, it plays after you beat him the first time and the barrier breaks. Granted, it still is kind of a throw away theme, but I've found Awakening's soundtrack was very good on its own without context, aside from a few exceptions, such as Don't Speak Her Name.
ZerkMonsterHunter 4 On top of being a better song on its own, Heritors was localized excellently, making up completely new lyrics, while maintaining the general message. Lost in Thoughts, on the other hand, was completely butchered during localization.

One of my favorites is "In the silver garden with you". It's a soothing and sad, and it shows Berkut's human side. The piano and violin do a wonderful job with the notes.
Personally, Heritors of Arcadia was a pretty moving song for me. I thought of it as a song that Mila herself would have sung when she first gained power, foreshadowing her own death and reassuring her people that, even though she is gone, they should not worry because they CAN survive without the gods. Plus, Silque singing this has a pretty important meeting to me as well, because the song could have been lost to time, but was passed down through the clergy, staying significant within the religion. And finally, with Mila dead and gone, Silque sings the song one last time as she travels to Rigel, letting go of Mila as she travels and devoting her life to helping the injured and those in need. Also, holy hell am I glad Prince of Darkness got number one. Seriously, I was about to type an entire rant on this thing when it suddenly came on and I was like "Yes! I don't have to rant today!".

There were only a few tracks from Fates and Awakening that really stuck out to me (personally), yet Echoes comes in with all these fitting and memorable melodies. It helps most were remakes from Gaiden, just give them an orchestral treatment and they were golden. Although "The Fell God's Tempest" is my favourite track, I liked listening to you explain why you liked the songs you listed :)

Great list. I agreed with pretty much all of it. However personally I would of put the mad gods blessing on her around 3-5. It perfectly captures the theme of fighting of against crazy monsters that are trying to kill you. Especially the bit where it glitches out and the voices start screaming. It gets me everytime I hear it.
A cool thing I recently found out today is that if you press 'up down left right up' on the title screen that says press any button, you unlock the sound check in the extras menu, which lets you listen to the OST :)
How did the music grow on you over time? I know you've never liked Tsujiyoko's music (probably the most underrated Fire Emblem composer by far), but hey that's awesome, because this game has a really awesome soundtrack!
I know all about how opinions change. It's just that he took a while to like it as much as he does today, which wasn't the case for the other soundtracks he mentioned prior.
I have never once spoken about the composer Tsujiyoko or how I feel in regards to his/her music, so where exactly are you getting THAT information from?
Tsujiyoko was the main composer of Fire Emblem since the beginning, but was replaced by others, and didn't even make songs for one of the newer games (I think it was Fates). She was the sole composer for Shadow Dragon (in my opinion, the really redeeming thing about that game WAS the soundtrack - feel free to disagree), Binding Blade, and all the Kaga games (1990-1999), the main for Blazing Sword, and I think Path of Radiance. She didn't make any songs for Sacred Stones and Radiant Dawn though she was music direct (again, not sure about the latter). My point in the original comment was it's nice to see you respected her work by making this video which was AWESOME by the way, but I never said you disliked or hated her music, just thought her work was bland (knowing how opinions work, I completely understand) most of the time. To answer your question, I looked back to one of your older videos where you only said A Hero's Destiny (Shadow Dragon) was the only good song (to which I must agree; it's one of the best), when you stated the other level themes were forgettable (which again, is fine). My apologies for the VERY long post.

Mila's Divine Protection is probably my favorite song from the game as I get a nostalgia rush as I remember hearing this song in Super Smash Bros. Brawl back when I knew next to nothing about Fire Emblem. Aside from that, I was hoping that the song Pride and Arrogance would make the list, but Prince of Darkness is still very good. I can't say that this game has my favorite soundtrack since that honor goes to Fates (Dusk Falls is my jam!), but there were still plenty of memorable tracks that really captivated me.
in my opinion "The Slumbering Labyrinth (Tough)" is my favourite theme as its sence of mystery is personally unparaelled by any other songs in the ost. along with that eletronic noise in the backgeround gives you the sence that something more is here in which its dungeon: the fear mountain shrine, did not disapoint in with that final area past the gate of the living. i honestly wished that the ruins area of the dungeon was larger so i could get more exploration and more wonder of what could possibly be next. sadly there isnt anything massive at the end of the dungeon unless you count the blessed bow to be a groundbreaking reward.
Nice list. Just a minor nitpick, your number 2 pick(the song that plays when you fight grima) isn’t from echoes, it isn’t even a remix. It’s ripped straight from awakening as it’s actually validar’s boss theme(I think it’s called monstrosity in awakening).
What I hope they keep in future fire emblem games is the separate attack theme for engagements, like the older games. If you have a blaze version of a song, you need to earn it.
My personal favorites are Twilight of the Gods, A Song of Bygone Days, and Heritors of Arcadia. Not sure if I can order them just yet, but dangit, they're all amazing!
So the dungeons unlocked by the Amiibo basically use the "battle's almost done" songs from Gaiden more faithfully, whereas Echoes remixed the hell of them and used them as the Act 4 battle themes. Neat. I've heard the song for Mila's Ordeal before but didn't know where it came from; thought maybe it originated in Smash Bros or something.
Two things: 1) Heritors of Arcadia also is rather beautiful when you tie into how it is clearly sung from Mila's perspective, as her love for humanity can be felt through this song, and how she wants to continue nurturing and protecting them, like a mother would. And this in turn does become true, as her remains, alongside Duma's, become trees that ultimately intertwine to become a single giant tree, called Mila's Tree. 2) Oh man, have you see the new lore that is explained in the Valentian Accordion? It REALLY does a lot to expand on the Risen and Grima, and even make you understand more about Forneus. Totally insane.
My top 5: 5) Sacrifice and the Saint 4) Praise this Despair 3) A Song of Bygone Days 2) Twilight of the Gods 1) The Lord of a Dead Empire If “The Creation” wasn’t a song in Awakening, I would have put this in #5.
The battle theme "the dauntless blade" has 3 versions in this game, there is also the gaiden version, a remix in the form arena theme in sacred stones and also a smash bros remix, this makes it 6 different versions, it must be the most officially remixed fire emblem theme after the title screen theme and together we ride
After listening to your choices in music...... I do agree that SOME of the Me: BREKUT! GET OFF MY IPAD BEFORE A DRAW GLAHAND! Brekut: (Cartoony scream then runs) Me: as I was saying. Although I still prefer somber music I will agree that some of if not all the tracks you selected were outstandingly good! As I'm still playing Echoes I can assure you that I most likely will enjoy the sound track.
Uh BlazingKnight? "The Creation" is actually "Monstrosity" from Awakening. It's not even a remix like with "Forbidden Sanctuary," it's the exact same song. Granted I didn't learn about it until I read some comments pointing it out, but it's been months since the game came out. With how much you love Awakening, how did you not find out about it being an Awakening song?
Now just think how the Binding Blade soundtrack will sound like in the possible remake... And what the new villains will be like... Like, say, Guinivere's son (because that'll make him the half-nephew of Zephiel)...
What about the sacrifice and the saint that was my favorite battle theme, it really changed the peace of celica route since first it seamed like it was a fun adventure but latter made it fell serious and it really went well with how her route progressed.
You know a game has an amazing soundtrack when #15 could be #1. For me though... THAT RECRUITMENT THEME. I know that all FE games have phenomenal recruitment theme but WOW. All i can think if when i hear it is Camus betraying Jerome after you tell him tatiana is freed. And blade on the wind now takes the trophy for best short loop from fight the knight from Sonic and the black knight (hey, black knight!) I must say though, great job on picking scenes that reflect the lyrics for heritors of arcadia.

The 4th song on the list(I've already forgotten what it's called and I'm too lazy to look it up) is a remastering of the original Alm map 2. Kinda cool.
I really liked your choices, and I agree Heritors of Arcadia (I want this tied to Elibe so bad) isn't everyone's favorite. Still like Lost in Thoughts all the way. I liked it overall though. I thought With Mila's Divine Protection was very well done as well. There were many of these I completely agreed with, and others I though shouldn't have been so high or low, but it really is hard to miss with a soundtrack like this. I feel the one game that has the greatest potential for an amazing soundtrack is Sacred Stones. From Path of Radiance onward, I felt the music was more den enough to stay as it is. However, GBA era and on could all be redone, with 1, 2, and 3 all being completed. Fire Emblem Sacred Stones just had a fantastic set of songs that I felt perfectly fit their roles and harmonized with the story. You listen to Lyon's song and try and tell me it doesn't match his character. And a removed see sound track might include more songs, maybe personal songs for Eirika and Ephraim like in 7, which I think has the second best potential. Then four, I can't say five, and everything is better than 6.

Your choice for #13 actually isn't Celica's first overworld theme- that one is the theme of Act 3, so it's for Alm and Celica. Celica's actual first overworld theme is The Ark of Dawn.
I think it's a good soundtrack list. Out of all of the songs, 3 stand out as the best of the bunch. Berkut's theme. Ether normal, battle, possessed, and last fight. What lies at the End is a beautiful song the I wrote lyrics by myself. I kid you not. Twilight of the Gods is without a doubt the best final battle theme. You have a great day Knight.

I know all about how opinions change. It's just that he took a while to like it as much as he does today, which wasn't the case for the other soundtracks he mentioned prior.
I have never once spoken about the composer Tsujiyoko or how I feel in regards to his/her music, so where exactly are you getting THAT information from?
Tsujiyoko was the main composer of Fire Emblem since the beginning, but was replaced by others, and didn't even make songs for one of the newer games (I think it was Fates). She was the sole composer for Shadow Dragon (in my opinion, the really redeeming thing about that game WAS the soundtrack - feel free to disagree), Binding Blade, and all the Kaga games (1990-1999), the main for Blazing Sword, and I think Path of Radiance. She didn't make any songs for Sacred Stones and Radiant Dawn though she was music direct (again, not sure about the latter). My point in the original comment was it's nice to see you respected her work by making this video which was AWESOME by the way, but I never said you disliked or hated her music, just thought her work was bland (knowing how opinions work, I completely understand) most of the time. To answer your question, I looked back to one of your older videos where you only said A Hero's Destiny (Shadow Dragon) was the only good song (to which I must agree; it's one of the best), when you stated the other level themes were forgettable (which again, is fine). My apologies for the VERY long post.

Mila's Divine Protection is probably my favorite song from the game as I get a nostalgia rush as I remember hearing this song in Super Smash Bros. Brawl back when I knew next to nothing about Fire Emblem. Aside from that, I was hoping that the song Pride and Arrogance would make the list, but Prince of Darkness is still very good. I can't say that this game has my favorite soundtrack since that honor goes to Fates (Dusk Falls is my jam!), but there were still plenty of memorable tracks that really captivated me.
in my opinion "The Slumbering Labyrinth (Tough)" is my favourite theme as its sence of mystery is personally unparaelled by any other songs in the ost. along with that eletronic noise in the backgeround gives you the sence that something more is here in which its dungeon: the fear mountain shrine, did not disapoint in with that final area past the gate of the living. i honestly wished that the ruins area of the dungeon was larger so i could get more exploration and more wonder of what could possibly be next.
sadly there isnt anything massive at the end of the dungeon unless you count the blessed bow to be a groundbreaking reward.
Blazingknight my favourite songs were "Echoes" and "A song for bygone days" the latter is absolutely beautiful and made be cry

Nice list. Just a minor nitpick, your number 2 pick(the song that plays when you fight grima) isn’t from echoes, it isn’t even a remix. It’s ripped straight from awakening as it’s actually validar’s boss theme(I think it’s called monstrosity in awakening).
Heritors of Arcadia is most likely the best song in fe history, I can't believe you put it at 4 way too low
What I hope they keep in future fire emblem games is the separate attack theme for engagements, like the older games. If you have a blaze version of a song, you need to earn it.
My personal favorites are Twilight of the Gods, A Song of Bygone Days, and Heritors of Arcadia. Not sure if I can order them just yet, but dangit, they're all amazing!
So the dungeons unlocked by the Amiibo basically use the "battle's almost done" songs from Gaiden more faithfully, whereas Echoes remixed the hell of them and used them as the Act 4 battle themes. Neat. I've heard the song for Mila's Ordeal before but didn't know where it came from; thought maybe it originated in Smash Bros or something.
The Heritors Of Arcadia is my favourite track in Echoes, simply because it's a better ending song than Fates.
Two things:
1) Heritors of Arcadia also is rather beautiful when you tie into how it is clearly sung from Mila's perspective, as her love for humanity can be felt through this song, and how she wants to continue nurturing and protecting them, like a mother would. And this in turn does become true, as her remains, alongside Duma's, become trees that ultimately intertwine to become a single giant tree, called Mila's Tree.
2) Oh man, have you see the new lore that is explained in the Valentian Accordion? It REALLY does a lot to expand on the Risen and Grima, and even make you understand more about Forneus. Totally insane.
I was turned off when you put Twilight of the Gods at 9. Then I saw numbers 3 and 1. Great work on this list.

The battle theme "the dauntless blade" has 3 versions in this game, there is also the gaiden version, a remix in the form arena theme in sacred stones and also a smash bros remix, this makes it 6 different versions, it must be the most officially remixed fire emblem theme after the title screen theme and together we ride

Uh BlazingKnight? "The Creation" is actually "Monstrosity" from Awakening. It's not even a remix like with "Forbidden Sanctuary," it's the exact same song. Granted I didn't learn about it until I read some comments pointing it out, but it's been months since the game came out. With how much you love Awakening, how did you not find out about it being an Awakening song?
I don't know, Heritors of Arcadia sounds like a lullaby to me. The sort of thing that the characters would sing to their children.

What about the sacrifice and the saint that was my favorite battle theme, it really changed the peace of celica route since first it seamed like it was a fun adventure but latter made it fell serious and it really went well with how her route progressed.

For me though... THAT RECRUITMENT THEME. I know that all FE games have phenomenal recruitment theme but WOW. All i can think if when i hear it is Camus betraying Jerome after you tell him tatiana is freed.
And blade on the wind now takes the trophy for best short loop from fight the knight from Sonic and the black knight (hey, black knight!)
I must say though, great job on picking scenes that reflect the lyrics for heritors of arcadia.
25:45 Huh....That makes the Tempest Trials map a lot more sense. I never got to this part of the game in Echoes. Only got to Sublevel 8 out of however many there are.

I really liked your choices, and I agree Heritors of Arcadia (I want this tied to Elibe so bad) isn't everyone's favorite. Still like Lost in Thoughts all the way.

I thought With Mila's Divine Protection was very well done as well. There were many of these I completely agreed with, and others I though shouldn't have been so high or low, but it really is hard to miss with a soundtrack like this.
I feel the one game that has the greatest potential for an amazing soundtrack is Sacred Stones. From Path of Radiance onward, I felt the music was more den enough to stay as it is. However, GBA era and on could all be redone, with 1, 2, and 3 all being completed.
Fire Emblem Sacred Stones just had a fantastic set of songs that I felt perfectly fit their roles and harmonized with the story. You listen to Lyon's song and try and tell me it doesn't match his character. And a removed see sound track might include more songs, maybe personal songs for Eirika and Ephraim like in 7, which I think has the second best potential. Then four, I can't say five, and everything is better than 6.
I love the addition of sass mate with the animation. Great choices but really all (most) these songs could be #1
tbh I don't agree with this list that much but I still really liked it! I feel it gave me a different way to look at songs I had somewhat forgotten about. Great list! I was really anticipating this vid for a while. Also twilight of the gods is my favourite echoed theme.

Your choice for #13 actually isn't Celica's first overworld theme- that one is the theme of Act 3, so it's for Alm and Celica. Celica's actual first overworld theme is The Ark of Dawn.

I really love echoes because of the empty lost to time kind of feel that most of its music gives of, I mean dam have you heard the credits music!
I think it's a good soundtrack list. Out of all of the songs, 3 stand out as the best of the bunch. Berkut's theme. Ether normal, battle, possessed, and last fight. What lies at the End is a beautiful song the I wrote lyrics by myself. I kid you not. Twilight of the Gods is without a doubt the best final battle theme. You have a great day Knight.
