Hi David. Brilliant meeting you at Milton Keynes. Great rolling stock and great layout buddy. Loved seeing the double stacked containers. Thanks David Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete and Su....
Hi Pete, it was great meeting you, I thoroughly enjoyed our chat. I think I shall have some interesting video for you in the coming months. Regards, David.
Hello Jonathan. Thank you, yes I am feeling much better now. I know you have had a very busy summer too, perhaps we can both settle down a bit now and enjoy our railways. Kind regards, David.
Hello Dave, thank you. I too have fond memories of our visit to Manchester South, it's a shame we will never be able to return there but I do hope to see you again. Peter and I had a super day in York visiting the museum and Monk Bar Gate hobby shop as well as the usual tourist sites within the walls. Hope you are well and keep turning out the videos my friend. David.
Hi Dave, it's good to be back but I just about had to learn a whole new editing program, there have been many changes to ClipChamp since I last made a video.
Hello, David... glad to see some trains running and that you had a good trip. Sorry to hear you brought home a cold (we did, too- seems the UK is handing them out to tourists, lol). Cheers!
Hello Anthony, Yes it's time to dust things off and get some trains rolling for the winter. I am familiar enough with the UK that these days my measure of success there is measured in meeting people and my railway purchases. With that criteria this trip was hugely successful. This seasonal cold has put a bit of a damper on things though. As you say we are targets for them. lol. All the best. David.
Hi Popa-John, yes, after sitting idle all summer my railway started up and ran fine. I'm looking forward to getting some time in working on it this winter.
Glad to see that you have returned home safely , looking forward to seeing what you have brought back from your UK visit . Take some lemon and honey for that sore throat . .............Peter
Hi Peter. It was great meeting up and having a day together in lovely autumn weather in the beautiful city of York. It was well planned and executed with spot on timing. As we left you and walked to Monk Bar we met our relatives precisely on time directly under the arch. Well timed again and fish and chips for tea. Lemon and honey have been part of my treatment but this has been a tough one to beat. I am still sorting through my purchases but I expect I'll be making a video soon. Say "hi" to the family from me. Cheers, David.
Hi Clive, GETS was incredible with the number of fellow RUclipsrs on hand. I saw from Al's video that there were even more new faces there on Sunday but I couldn't do both days, It's good to see that you are tinkering with some actual layout building and running.
Great to meet you at TCS show Leicester. Enjoyed our chat. Hope you liked book I gave you. Must talk uk container trains next time as well as more Triang. Keep well and keep filming 🎥. Catch up soon. Dave.
Hello David, yes it was great meeting you. TCS is not somewhere I expect to be recognised so that was a pleasant surprise. I started reading the book on a crowded class 170 from Leicester to Peterborough but a young gentleman beside me saw it and began to chat. He is at the stage of life whereby everything is exciting and the world is full of opportunities. It was a very nice train journey. So, the book went into my carry on luggage to be read on the plane but due to my cold and other distractions I did not get to read anymore. It has now taken it's place in my stack of reading for this winter. I am most grateful to you for it. I would love to hear your thoughts on container trains, a subject of great interest to me and of course Tri-ang is the foundation of this interest I have in model trains. All the best, David.
Hi David, I'm glad you are back, mate. Tuesday's haven't been the same. Looking forward to seeing your purchases as well. It's always interesting to see what you might have acquired from the UK. I have bought quite a bit myself, but I haven't been near the layout lately as it has been stinking hot and the nasty storm season has kicked off. Steven.
Hi Steven. It's good to be back but quite honestly the weather is good enough to be carrying on with my project outside and I probably would except for this infection I am fighting off. I did get some excellent rolling stock and other bits and pieces. We'll get a look at those over the winter. Your weather seems to go from one extreme to another, I wouldn't be surprised to see a video from you with a croc floating through your layout space. I look forward to seeing your purchases too. Cheers, David.
Hi David, good to see you've made it back, and I look forward to seeing more! Hope you enjoyed your trip to the UK, and all the stuff from Doncaster are it back to Canada with you!
Hi Steve, yes, we're back with a good load of booty. I made a second solo foray to Anoraks and picked up some more stuff. I lucked out on the weather which made for a good holiday, I only used my brolly once. The weather remains nice here too but it's on to winter activities for me which means more time in the layout room. David.
Ah Ha! I have a clipping from the July 1968 Trains magazine. It is titled, "Freightliner: Unit or Integral?" It poses the question, "Are the British doing what we're only talking about?" I feel like booking a return trip already. lol.
Ciao dear David, now it's really tuesday, welcome back. I have seen some video with our common friends in U.K. and i am happy for you that you visited U.K. Thumbs up for your first video after a long summer break all the best alberto 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂💂💂💂💂💂💂💂💂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you Alberto, I have been watching some of your videos but you do not allow comments. I am glad to have some time again for making videos and to get some more work done on my layout. As I hope to show you I had a good time again in the UK. All the best to you my friend. David.
Thank you, I had a couple of interesting flight experiences on my trip to the UK. At YYC the bridge at gate A1 wouldn't operate leaving us stuck on the plane and at LHR the 787-9 door wouldn't open. We finally de-planed from the mid section door.
Nice one David , you managed to get to GETS , I couldn’t even get there from Southampton lol 👌😎☕️ saw you on one video which was nice regards Fred the recluse
Hello David, welcome back.😊 I'm sitting on the couch, my Hornby mug with coffee on hand watching trains on tuesday, can there be a better start in the day? Cheers Andy 🤠
Ah dear Andy, it touches my heart to read your comments. What you describe is exactly what I would like my channel to be. Enjoy your days, I hope to bring you many more such starts. Cheers, David.
That was my blue VIA set which belongs under there, it came out for a video I did earlier this year and it has just sat on the layout ever sine. It was in the way for what I wanted to do in this video. I could certainly use more running track and more storage. Whoever came up with the idea that we should downsize when we get old?
Great it see you back David have missed your trains on Tuesday.
Thank you Phil, it's good to be back.
Hi David.

Hi Again.
Never got to tell you I work for a company that moves containers over the UK by train
It's been in existence for 60 years next year !
