From seeing many plays and musicals, big and small, this is a musical that will never be forgotten in my mind. Left me in tears of joy and much sadness. I am completely thankful to be the lucky few to see this performance at its beginning rise to fame. I would love this to be brought out to nationwide one day, because this is a story that needs to be seen by everyone.
My family and I were lucky enough to be able to see this Sept. 15th and were blown away. I laughed, I cried. If I could afford it, I'd love to see it again before it leaves San Diego. If you have the chance, go see it! You won't be disappointed. {:)
I hope they film it, I hope they take it on tour, I want to see it...my father remembers when a Caldwell farming family was taken to the Twin Falls internment camp, by the time they came back, all their land and property had been sold or destroyed....yet they managed to buy new land and start a new farm that still exists to this day. It was a wrong time in our land, time to get it out in the open so it never happens again.
It kind of reminds me of the song "Invisible People" by TheGrandMasterChu with the lyrics "In Asia, I'm American. In America, I'm Asian. When I look in the mirror, I see two faces. Why?" Asian-Americans will always walk on these two worlds and will never be FULLY comfortable in both worlds and this broadway show is a clear example of it. And this broadway show can also show a mirror of today with Americans of middle-eastern descent after 9/11.

i know this was very late but what has been the ending? They said it was different from the one on broadway.

They filmed it and streaming the broadway production till June 26th. Hope you get to see this :)
