First of all, amazing interview. The interviewer is very polite, knows who he is talking to, made his homework, and asks concrete, not-so-common questions. Loved it! When I first knew that Adler was leaving LoG, I thought that the band was gonna dismiss or go into a hiatus. That it was impossible to get someone to play like him, and the Adler style was going to be missing. However, when I heard Art live, with LoG, he completely destroyed any prejudice one could have. His style in LoG is still LoG, and even if you didn't know Adler was not playing anymore, you could still hear the new record and think "Hey Adler is making a good job here...". Big ups to Cruz, man!
Good drummer. Glad he has an appreciation for travel. I’m a military brat. Spent 16 years of my life living abroad. I never took any of it for granted. Traveling around Europe and seeing such cool architecture. Old cobblestone streets, cathedrals that are 500 yrs old. Just cool shit. Funny, because I took a lot of other things for granted when I was young. But always had an appreciation for having to been fortunate enough to see a good part of the world. Best of luck to Art Cruz. Art Cruz actually made some of my high schools cadences in band at south El Monte high school and I had the opportunity to play with art and his old beats in drum line
Yeah I agree with you. This interview shed a ton of light, for me, on the type of person and dedicated drummer that he is. I didn't know much about him but I figured he must have been solid enough for Lamb Of God to ask him to fill in and then ultimately become a full member after Chris's departure. Adler was phenomenal in my opinion with Lamb. Art has definitely fell in the Lamb groove of things from the sound of the new record. I very much dig it and hopefully can catch them on your when the covid crap is over, if ever 🤘🏻

You won’t hear anything obscure from this LOG album. Willie and Mark wrote it, the drums are basically Chris Adler being played by Art. Hold out for the next album when they give him an actual chance at writing parts.
