It's distinct from the title of world record holder, or goat which is obviously Usain Bolt. The difference is if Coleman and Bolt lined up on the track and raced today, Bolt would lose because he's retired and not in training. This doesn't reduce Bolt's status in anyway. You can be the goat without being the current fastest man.

His start has been inconsistent this year. Plus, it's impossible to peak and maintain that form for an entire season. He peaked at the U.S. Championships, and now has to do it again for the olympics. This isn’t correct. He wasn’t the first high schooler to break 10 seconds (wind aided). Tyreek Hill of the Chiefs ran a wind aided 9.98 in high school.
Not even close. If you take the fastest 10m splits and reaction times of all time in the 100m and compile it into 1 race you get a 9.44. Bromells start is fantastic don’t get me wrong, but it’s still slower than bolts start when he ran 9.58.

Again bromells start is fantastic but it doesn’t hold a candle to what bolt put out in Berlin. You need to have a near perfect race model to run a time like that which he did. In fact bolt has one of the fastest starts ever recorded with his first 30m of his 9.58 clocked at 3.78. With that exact same race model bolt would also hold the 60m world record at 6.29. Bromell is an incredible sprinter but if bolt had his start/form, then the record would belong to Yohan Blake cause bolt would never run 9.58 like that.
