Great work. I don't think it should be seen as controversial. Your customer wants something done to his cymbals for his reasons. I actually really liked the cymbal before (trashy hum & all). But I do prefer it afterwards. It's more controlled. Plus it definitely pairs beautifully with the other now. Nice job!

I expected to be slightly mad about this, but the ride sounds way vetter than before in my humble opinion. Bravo man!
Convinced I need one of your rides now....😅 PM in coming

Fantastic job Timothy!! Once I saw the title, I thought, "uh oh, this is gonna piss some people off". Then I read the "disclaimer in the description" well done. But man!!! Fantastic job on that mod! You absolutely killed it Timothy!!!

Dude, what an honor for a cymbal geek to be able to spend time with those. Such a cool project with an excellent result. Nice work! I’m sure the owner will be pleased with the enhanced musicality and better tonal pairing. (The “Brian Blade left side ride” is such a great sound!!!)

      Such an honor! Thanks Ian!
The other 22” was one of the prettiest cymbals I’ve ever heard.

    Fine tuning succeeded 👍
Seems to be that the curvature of the "flat" area near the bell is very crucial to the overall sound 😯

Now it has a bit more controlled and interestingly more trashy crash sound, nice job! By the way the other cymbal is incredibly beautiful; maybe similar to some Agop 30th 22.

Thank you! Also agreed! The other 22” was one of the prettiest cymbals I’ve ever heard.

Not gonna lie, it sounded better before.

The before version is certainly better for more cut in live environments. The after is more subtle which is what the customer wanted.
