Great work. I don't think it should be seen as controversial. Your customer wants something done to his cymbals for his reasons. I actually really liked the cymbal before (trashy hum & all). But I do prefer it afterwards. It's more controlled. Plus it definitely pairs beautifully with the other now. Nice job!
I expected to be slightly mad about this, but the ride sounds way vetter than before in my humble opinion. Bravo man! Convinced I need one of your rides now....😅 PM in coming
Fantastic job Timothy!! Once I saw the title, I thought, "uh oh, this is gonna piss some people off". Then I read the "disclaimer in the description" well done. But man!!! Fantastic job on that mod! You absolutely killed it Timothy!!!
Dude, what an honor for a cymbal geek to be able to spend time with those. Such a cool project with an excellent result. Nice work! I’m sure the owner will be pleased with the enhanced musicality and better tonal pairing. (The “Brian Blade left side ride” is such a great sound!!!)
Now it has a bit more controlled and interestingly more trashy crash sound, nice job! By the way the other cymbal is incredibly beautiful; maybe similar to some Agop 30th 22.
watching this video again months later and disappointed the owner wanted to modify that. character galore in the original. nice job on the mod! just really loved the original .. but it’s customers call. anyway cheers
Absolutely fantastic. I want you to modifiy some of my ride cymbals. Sent you an email that you responded to . Both are a great combination. Let's talk.

Im just blown away at how he made the jazzyest cymbal even more jazzy
🙌
Much much better pairing and usability! Awesome work!
Thank you!

Thanks Brent! This one has been surprisingly uncontroversial!

Thank you bro!

Such an honor! Thanks Ian!
The other 22” was one of the prettiest cymbals I’ve ever heard.
Very nice!!!!! The mod def helped match them up better
Thanks Aaron!
Well you have done it again! Great job. Bill.
Thanks!
Beautiful work! Great ears!
Beautiful work Tim!
Thanks brotha!
Wow. Amazing sound after the mod.
Fine tuning succeeded 👍
Seems to be that the curvature of the "flat" area near the bell is very crucial to the overall sound 😯
It’s so important! Also thanks!
Man... You are a master cymbal smith!!!
Thank you!
Waiting for some "Collector" type to blow a gasket, You did what to a Spizzi ? Sa·cré bleu !😁
Absolutely proper!!!

Haha! Gotta watch out!
Oh snap!! 👏

much better
I'll take it
Haha I wanted it too!
Honestly, did this make you throw up just a little bit? Perhaps a shot of whiskey before it hit the lathe? Nice work!
If I didn’t have over 1000 cymbal mods under my belt I’d be vomiting everything I ate in the last week… haha.
Not gonna lie, it sounded better before.
The before version is certainly better for more cut in live environments. The after is more subtle which is what the customer wanted.
