How much sun does your Horstman get? I'm thinking of planting one but the area where I would place it only get's about 4 hours of sun a day. I'm in zone 6b.
Mine gets a decent 6 hour block of sun, and filtered the rest of the day. If I were you, see if you can trim some branches from a canopy to give more light to the area, or look for some other evergreen options that are more shade tolerant like Japanese holly, Laurel, or yews

Was it expensive? I just got one that is about two years old and paid $80
I think the original price was around $110 but it was on sale when we got it!
