However doll making is far more complicated
Ithink she means sculpting the whole doll from scratch, but I completely get what you mean. She does such an incredible job even if she starts with a doll that already made.

I think the small head suits her better, especially next to the other dolls, because it makes her look more like an animal and not a human which really sets her apart in a good way, I think it makes her look more like a dragon

I agree! She also looks cuter next to other dolls, in which (in my opinion) balances out the “scary” spikes on her body.
The reason why the resin pieces are foggy is because the original pieces you used to make the molds were not glossy, so the molds picked up that texture to transfer to the resin pieces. If you glaze the bottles first with either clear nail polish or clear glossy resin first, then made the molds, then the molds will pass down the clear glossy texture to the resin pieces.

the popsicle stick wings look a little artsy craftsy but honestly i think that makes her even better. it kind of looks like she was born without wings so she decided to build her own and i think it’s so cool!!
I love that idea! Maybe Aurora is a common dragon (they can learn magic, but don't have the natural ability like elemental dragons.) She built her wings and learned magic to use a wind spell to fly!😊
Please, PLEASE make a dragon series! I'd love to see all the different styles, from the mundane to the more obscure!

A trick I found for putting holes into popsicle sticks is to burn the hole through it with a wood burning tool. Get a lot less cracking loss in , at least for me

i love watching these videos. idk why. the plug pulling is so satisfying to me for some reason. probably one of my favorite youtubers
Placing a layer of painters tape on the front and back of the Popsicle sticks before drilling the holes will help to stop it from fraying or splitting it also works on balsa wood just make sure to test the tape on a scrap piece of the material being drilled just in case it leaves some residue (I've never had it happen but better to be safe than sorry.).
Using a sharp pin to poke a pilot hole before drilling on a low torque setting will reduce spinning of the piece.
Finally hold the work steady with pliers that have a layer of rubber or silicone on the inside grippy bits (I have a dedicated cheap pair of needle nose pliers that i super glued strips of rubber from an old rubber water bottle to.) to make it easier to hold onto the work piece while drilling on soft woods without causing dents or marks.

Isnt there one monster high doll with two heads? The main complaint I heard from that particular doll is that the heads are too big to pose, but with the shrinking and maybe some jointed neck mods it could be possible!
Edit: maybe using the same method for the tail on this doll (but on a much much much smaller scale), one could make a poseable snake neck?
But each video would take like 2 months to make

I was watching one of your older videos and you showed a color changing hair (you didn't use it), and it inspired me to think... what if you made a doll that changed completely in the sunlight! Using color changing hair, pigments, and paint, you could make a doll where it's almost two different characters blended into one. I think it would be hard, but I know you can do it.

Oh my gosh that hair color name- truly outrageous! Was the person naming the color a fan of Jem? That color is everywhere in the Jem cartoon and the cartoon was made to help advertise a doll line after all, so it would make sense! It made the Jem fan in me super happy to see that!

Please do some more dragons! Elemental ones, metal themed ones, or you can try to challenge yourself with some of them! Like the color challenges that I've seen with dolls if you are up for that sort of thing.

My favourite thing about the doll customizing community on RUclips is how interconnected everyone in it is. All the customizers know and are friends with each other, there's never any beef, they take inspiration and customization ideas from each other, and always give credit and a big thanks. the reason why your resin keeps coming out foggy is probably because your molds arent shiny on the inside! youre using clay, which is matte, so itll leave a sort of softer surface, if you glazed your pieces before casting them to make them shiny, the inside of the mold will be smoother and shiny as well, so your resin would more likely come out shiny!
aurora is gorgeous though. her colours work so beautifully together and she looks really unique 💕
She's not using clay to make her moulds she's using I don't know what it's called but it's some type of silicone x
@@megmoo5777 no, not the silicone. the little clay and wood bottles that she makes before she casts them IN the silicone. those are made of clay
