I'd love to see your take on articulated wing-arms, making use of things like sculpted feathers? Like the wing-hands that people draw cartoon birds with.
I love the bird idea so much! The idea of feather hands makes me think of a book called “Snow,” by Tracy Lynn (which isn’t a book that many people I’ve spoken to have heard of). But there are some bird people (or was it just one?) in it that I think have feathers on their arms/hands. I would love to see @Dollightful’s take on this concept :)

Yeah, reptiles gives her a lot to work with! Snakes are thin and sleek while crocs (and even dinosaurs though I'm pretty sure they are more related to birds) are more stocky which would be interesting to see from her
I think you got my old sirena von boo doll. I sadly had to abandon all my dolls when I moved houses five years ago. She looked exactly as mine did. If it's true thank you for giving her a better life. It makes me feel better to know that she didn't end up in a landfill. Hopefully everyone watches your videos has had a doll that you probably got and gave new life. You are amazing and I love your work! Hopefully you have a good day/night and hopefully you are getting enough rest cause of the baby.
I'd love to see Dollightful's spin on a parrot doll, I own a parrot and he's so fluffy and derpy that it'd be a cute doll no doubt, that and I noticed she doesn't often work with any kind of feather-like material so it'd be cool to see how she'd manage it if she decided to use feathers and not fake fur.

As a snake lover and owner I’d have to suggest a snake!! There’s ton of varieties of snakes out there all with interesting patterns and color schemes. Snakes are also popular in mythological terms with countless snake based monsters like Medusa and Jörmungandr to name a couple. It’d also be fun to experiment with a lack of limbs (even thought you could totally still make a snake character with limbs, like Medusa).
Or even: a peacock humming bird! I feel like they're similar enough in aesthetics that mixing them so it's a small little peacock fae would be so neat!
Katherine : no I won't use armature wire this time, I must resist, it's just air dry clay also Katherine : drills ear pendants into the ears, kinda acting as a wire to strengthen them

Ooh! The idea of turtle/tortoise came to mind too for me. I imagined a sorta old, wise grandma(?), mythical, nature-ey character. The old part because turtles have been around for a very very long time, and can live for a long time as well lol. I don’t think Katherine has ever done an old character with wrinkles and all, so that could be something new for her to try! Or maybe giving a doll wrinkles isn’t entirely possible because I’ve never seen it lol.
You’ve put octopus in my brain with the comment at the start! What about a vampire squid? Or a blue ringed octopus? Those seem like they’d be suchhhh fun characters and I’d love to see how you do the tentacles
Coming back to this gorgeous doll a year later, I have to admit to being somewhat sad that she never got a unique name like most of your customizations. She's so colorful and distinctive that it feels like she deserves one, you know? I keep wanting to call her Luminesa, because she's a bio-luminescent deep sea creature.
I think a barn owl would be really cool to see. Or just an owl in general. I imagine an owl doll as either a keeper of books on the mystic arts, or perhaps a magic user herself. Covered in runes and delicacies 🤷♀️
One of the things I love about Dollightfull is that she always cites her sources. Whether it's an inspiration from Instagram, the tutorial where she learned her solution or whatever else, it's just nice that she gives credit to the community and resources for us.
Also, to quickly throw in my animal suggestion: how about a griffon? It would definitely be a doll that would require more modifications and extra sculpting, but I'd be curious to see how Katherine would pull it off if this idea was chose, especially since griffons are quadrupeds. Maybe it could be a masculine or androgynous doll? Idk, we'll just have to see :)

The idea of a mermaid who goes to music festivals (and raves it feels like, with that hair) is such a great concept since mermaids are so traditionally associated with music. This is just a fantastic character idea and it's incredible to me that you went in without it fully concepted from the start and it still came out so strong. She's wonderful!
The difference in this braid (“I suck at braiding so hard!”) vs the newest video with the box braids is just proof that practice and trials help so much!! Watching you progress over all these years is so fun. ❤
I agree with someone else, a gryphon would be really cool to see! And for “real” animals, a red fox would be super nice in your style. But this doll is really stunning, I love the palette and vibe
A possum doll would be really cool!!! They are underrated animals who do a lot of work for our ecosystem - also I think it’s super cute how they play dead if they get scared and they have a really unique look to them :)
I think an axolotl-themed doll would be so unique!! They’re such funky little creatures too, like straight out of a folktale, and I think they’d fit the fantastical theme you’ve got going on so far! :D
If Katherine makes an axolotl, please make it a dark one! I know the pink and golden ones look really cute but their natural color is brown/green-ish and they deserve some love too!
You should totally make a bird character next! I've yet to see a doll custom with a beak or feather hair! Not only that, but there are just as many different beak types as there are different shaped horns and just as many feather textures as there are hair textures! It's like uncharted territory that definitely may pose a challenge, but will open up a whole new way to custom dolls!

I think a fox or kitsune character would be really cool and would fit the theme of more mythical animals as well(Idk if you've already done this before), though if you do decide to do this I would imagine getting all those tails into such a small area would be difficult.

I would love to see a gryffin, angel, or chimera inspired dolls on the stock box for such a season. Also, love the deep sea look this doll ended up with. I could imagine her hanging out with angler fish or squid in the deeper tides.
my votes on dragon or maybe a humanoid dove. someone who'd either be optimistic and excited to try to do EvErYtHiNg even though it usually doesnt go well. i'd also like to see a motherly goddess type of character. someone elegant, wise, and gentle but will smack sense into someone when theyre acting like a twat.
I’d like to see a penguin themed doll, being winter is around the corner, or even a orca whale type of doll. I think the concept for both seem very different from our usual color palette. Edit: (Holy Cranoly!! So many of you actually like my ideas, thank you so much!!)
The animal that comes to mind for me is a fox, specifically a 'cross fox', which is a type of melanistic red fox that has a very striking color palette that I think you could have some fun with. Either that, or something like a pleco, because that would be amazing.
I feel like the turning point was the sequin eyes. That's when the doll took over and told you who she is! I think a venomous animal would be really cool! Snake (maybe an eyelash pit viper in particular), red back spider, blue ringed octopus would be awesome

I think my favorite part is how complimentary the two female mermaid dolls you have are. This one is definitely a deep sea rave mermaid and the other is a coral reef type of gal. Its really awesome how much they lend to the imagination when paired together.
I was just thinking that both looked like festival girls, it's just that the older one is more "Classic Woodstock" while the newer one is more "Coachella Night-Life." I could totally see the coral reef-themed mermaid in some rose-colored glasses and faux buckskin. They definitely look like a series!
They have such different main color pallets but then they share that minty blue color and it somehow ties them together like they are best friends in a tween girls animated TV show.
Personally, I'd love to see a spider based doll that isn't a spooky halloween-themed project. Spiders can be really pretty sometimes, and I feel like this art style would be perfect for showing that!

I personally think a squirrel would be really cool. They have big fluffy tails and cute faces so I think you would have a lot of fun with it, but no matter what you make it will be amazing.
An animal with distinct facial markings, such as a panda, raccoon, or cheetah, would make for a great stock box! It’d be interesting how you interpret those markings. Plus, for panda or cheetah at least, you can get influence from the cultures of people who live in their habitats
It might just be me... but I want a Snail doll! It's something creative and unique, plus Snails are so fascinating (to me). Also (just a suggestion) but I've been craving another Steampunk doll! Anything with the tiny gears, or a metallic palette! So, a factory-made animal could be cool! P.S: The doll was so beautiful! Totally that creature that lurks down in the abyss that is the ocean, but also knows how to throw a killer party!!
If you feel like leaning into Japanese mythology, I'd love to see you tackle a doll that features a mythological creature like Kitsune, Yokai, Oni, Tanuki, Kappa, etc! I think your take on any of them would be really neat!
For fantasy creatures, a phoenix sounds cool and would probably have a very warm color palette depending on the direction you went with it, and I think that would look nice. Or you can make a cute little ferret or weasel possibly with pretty pastel colors or a more serious and naturally colored wolf, which can have fur and would be very beautiful in my opinion, maybe it could be a companion of some type for the deer you made (I can't remember her name, sorry!).
A fat little bumblebee would be really cute! I also like the idea of a gecko, owl, or opossum. I love her sequin eyes! In one of the glow-in-the-dark shots, they looked reflective, and that's a really cool aspect for a sea creature Love your work!

A peacock, it can make a beautifully dramatic doll, and I’m pretty sure none of us will care if you give a girl the pretty feathers. There’s also the option of albino peacocks, and those are usually female and gorgeous!! I think it’d be cool to make a gender less peacock though. This doll is probably my favorite, also I think you forgot to give her a name, I think Rayla would be fitting
I’ve been trying to design a preying mantis humanoid character and it’s soooo difficult!😭😭 Definitely don’t think the idea would be chosen, but if you made it into a doll I believe you could do it!
As a person who has been a fan since Glaceon OOAK, the fact that there was no armature wire or huge epoxy sculpting project/attempt threw me off, but this was such an amazing OOAK video. Much love and respect for Katherine. Also if Snow leopard wins, would it be cool if it was somewhat Lisa Frank inspired? It's not a necessity, I just thought it would look really cool.

I'd love to see Dollightful's spin on a parrot doll, I own a parrot and he's so fluffy and derpy that it'd be a cute doll no doubt, that and I noticed she doesn't often work with any kind of feather-like material so it'd be cool to see how she'd manage it if she decided to use feathers and not fake fur.

As a snake lover and owner I’d have to suggest a snake!! There’s ton of varieties of snakes out there all with interesting patterns and color schemes.
Snakes are also popular in mythological terms with countless snake based monsters like Medusa and Jörmungandr to name a couple.
It’d also be fun to experiment with a lack of limbs (even thought you could totally still make a snake character with limbs, like Medusa).

Ooh! The idea of turtle/tortoise came to mind too for me. I imagined a sorta old, wise grandma(?), mythical, nature-ey character. The old part because turtles have been around for a very very long time, and can live for a long time as well lol. I don’t think Katherine has ever done an old character with wrinkles and all, so that could be something new for her to try! Or maybe giving a doll wrinkles isn’t entirely possible because I’ve never seen it lol.

Coming back to this gorgeous doll a year later, I have to admit to being somewhat sad that she never got a unique name like most of your customizations. She's so colorful and distinctive that it feels like she deserves one, you know? I keep wanting to call her Luminesa, because she's a bio-luminescent deep sea creature.
We can call her Lumi for short.

One of the things I love about Dollightfull is that she always cites her sources. Whether it's an inspiration from Instagram, the tutorial where she learned her solution or whatever else, it's just nice that she gives credit to the community and resources for us.

Also, to quickly throw in my animal suggestion: how about a griffon? It would definitely be a doll that would require more modifications and extra sculpting, but I'd be curious to see how Katherine would pull it off if this idea was chose, especially since griffons are quadrupeds. Maybe it could be a masculine or androgynous doll? Idk, we'll just have to see :)

The idea of a mermaid who goes to music festivals (and raves it feels like, with that hair) is such a great concept since mermaids are so traditionally associated with music. This is just a fantastic character idea and it's incredible to me that you went in without it fully concepted from the start and it still came out so strong. She's wonderful!

Not only that, but there are just as many different beak types as there are different shaped horns and just as many feather textures as there are hair textures!

The animal that comes to mind for me is a fox, specifically a 'cross fox', which is a type of melanistic red fox that has a very striking color palette that I think you could have some fun with. Either that, or something like a pleco, because that would be amazing.

I think my favorite part is how complimentary the two female mermaid dolls you have are. This one is definitely a deep sea rave mermaid and the other is a coral reef type of gal. Its really awesome how much they lend to the imagination when paired together.
I was just thinking that both looked like festival girls, it's just that the older one is more "Classic Woodstock" while the newer one is more "Coachella Night-Life." I could totally see the coral reef-themed mermaid in some rose-colored glasses and faux buckskin. They definitely look like a series!

An animal with distinct facial markings, such as a panda, raccoon, or cheetah, would make for a great stock box! It’d be interesting how you interpret those markings. Plus, for panda or cheetah at least, you can get influence from the cultures of people who live in their habitats

For fantasy creatures, a phoenix sounds cool and would probably have a very warm color palette depending on the direction you went with it, and I think that would look nice. Or you can make a cute little ferret or weasel possibly with pretty pastel colors or a more serious and naturally colored wolf, which can have fur and would be very beautiful in my opinion, maybe it could be a companion of some type for the deer you made (I can't remember her name, sorry!).
A fat little bumblebee would be really cute! I also like the idea of a gecko, owl, or opossum.

Space dolls seem to be a bit out of her design area since she usually likes to create more classic clothes that lean into that over the top Anime Fantasy aesthetic while Space and “Future” designs focus more on being modern and sleek
