    There will always be those who prey upon the weak, elderly, vulnerable, naïve, disabled, feebleminded, etc.
    Luckily, there are people (like this fella) who try to inform, stop, etc such from happening.

    Good Information Steve, I'll share this with you and your viewers. I am a disabled Veterans but I was going to put in another claim a couple of years ago while here and I couldn't find a list of VSO's for the Philippines. I ended up using someone from Panama who didn't help me at all. They wanted me to use their Doctor in Panama. If anyone has a list of accredited VSO's in the Philippines that would be great info.

    It's really sad to see Vets scamming their fellow Vets. It's also prevalent here in the the US. In my experience, documentations, right doctors who can write nexus letters, and right language on your buddy letters, helped me to get where I am now. I was one of the lucky ones who made 0 to 100 % in 2.5 years, however I was on top of it the whole time. By the way, I got most of my increase to secondary claims.

      Hey Guys, Time again for the Expat Get Together at "Texas Roadhouse" at EVIA Mall near Alabang/ Bacoor, meeting at 1:30 on June 27, 2024. We need an accurate count for Texas Roadhouse so please message or text me back to let me know if you are coming. We also need to know who will be going in the van from my house, at 12 pm we will leave. The Van count needs to be exact so no cancellations please on Van confirmations !!! The van is limited and first come first served on the van so please book your seat. Cancellations on the van should pay for thier spot if cancelled because it causes others to pay more and leaves seats unused. Thanks, Steve 🙏🏻👍💪

    At home recuperating for 6 weeks due to a hernia repair performed at the Houston VAMC. Yes, there are scammers here in the states too. VSOs are worthless here. In Texas, go with Texas Veterans Commission for filing claims help. They only help you file claim. They dont get you doctors or falsify anything. VA covers me for everything included not service connected issues here. Grand total bill for hernis fix will cost me nothing.

    The reason these organizations exist is that VSOs only process paperwork they don't help you understand and don't review CFRs for your claim, they don't look at any secondary issues, they won't ask you what issues you have, they, just, file, paperwork and Atournines want money upfront. That being said I agree RUclips and doing it yourself is the best option.

    I am now 100% P&T TDUI, but never could get a C&P exam because the raters were playing amateur doctor and denying. The most important part of the process is to get the original denial reviewed. Ask for a phone call. 5 minutes explaining my problem got me C&P exams. I have Myasthenia Gravis, 1 out of 20,000 people get it. It is on the original chronic disease list, next to muscular dystrophy. Also get a copy of the C&P exam. My examiners would not check the "more likely" box because of the way the question was written, but in the rationale stated I had developed it while on active duty. I had 2 such rationales. I finally got it when I pointed this out in a supplemental claim. The claims system has a lot of holes.

    One of the reasons I am not overseas now is because I am waiting for my VA rating to increase through the VA. It is best, in my opinion, to take care of that sort of thing BEFORE making the move overseas. Why someone would even think to do that overseas is beyond me!!! There re also scammers here in the U.S. too. I am going through a VSO here that is legitimate. I wouldn't do it myself but with the assistance with the VSO. I have been getting my tests through the VA or doctors they direct me to and I wasn't charged all. It's sad that guys have to go through that over there but I feel it would have been best for them to take care of business prior to leaving here. I want to leave here BADLY but I have to have things like that in order prior to leaving.

    Never ever trust anyone outside yourself or a VSO to handle anything related to your VA claim. As far as my experience with a certain VSO, you sometimes can't even trust them. My VSO in Maine failed to file my divorce paperwork with the VA and 8 years later I found out they had been paying me for my ex and my former step daughter which when they send you your benefit letter each year they only say your total payment and your rating not who you're getting paid for, so I had no idea. I am am considered 100% P&T.

    • @AceBachelorTom
      @AceBachelorTom 13 дней назад +1

      Runs, also a 100%er here. The way the rules/penalties are you will need to pay back that. You are responsible even though your ex and step daughter got the funds and will probably tell you to pound sand. So the VSO got you your 100% and when you gave them your divorce papers there was somehow a screw up? The VA claims process is online (you have to set up an account) and there is even an app which you can check your status of your VA payment. The VA also sends out a yearly benefit letter that should have listed your Ex and step daughter as dependents. I would call the VA and get your options, maybe a payment plan if you do not have the $10,000 you need to pay back.

    • @RunsWithKnives

He also did not get my 100% I went through the very first Chiropractor the VA ever commissioned to submitted requests for higher percentage rates and to provide care for the VA. I got luck she knew what she was doing. I know that isn't the case for many Vets.

    VSO or DAV are good free organizations to help. If a VSO isn’t your fit find a new one and don’t pay anyone to file on your behalf. It’s best to know and locate your ailments to make sure it’s being looked at properly. If something is at zero work on those if they get worse and if no crap you have a service connected ailment and a nexus letter is warranted to connect it find a reputable person to write that but know how it should read and how it connects. Don’t just pay for hopes and dreams gets what’s deserved but do know about your own ailments and how to see if it’s getting worse and look up the percentages based off mild to worse so that you can explain yourself in an exam as well.

    Use a VSO or just do it online yourself. I did my initial claim thru my county veterans service office, after learning what they did, I did everything on my own online. What is important to know what qualifies and at what disability rate and go get documented medical evidence. If you are spending all your time and money on a 10% rating it may not be worth it, for example if you are 90% disabled, a 10% rating will only give you 91% and no increase in pay. If you can't work, try to get TDIU from the VA. Your VA medical records may contain enough evidence for TDIU but the VA doctors won't submit the claim for you, so do it yourself online.

    If you are retired military you can also use one of the RAO (Retired Activity Offices) located here. I use the one here in Barrio Barretto and there is also I in Angeles City. You can also join and get access to a FPO/AP mailing address and box.

    I am an Air Force Veteran, and you should NEVER pay to have someone help you with your disability paperwork. You should ALWAYS contact a VA Representative, and they will help you free of charge. Before you retire overseas, you should always get that squared away in the States.

      D.A.V. in the states of which I’m a lifetime member discouraged me at the last minute in submitting my claim. Afterwards, I realized that I’m much older now and should be increased. If you are speaking of the organization I think, they have a Letter of Appreciation from the PRA. Yes, I hate paying, however, I would be stuck at TDIU without them.
