Love it, I always have trouble with the roofs after putting a lot of effort in the building itself and often my roofs kinda ruin the build a little! Very good tutorial, easy to follow, thanks :)
Thanks I appreciate that! I definitely also struggle with the roofing and have ruined a few builds with bad roofing in the past! Glad this was useful for you!
I like your short videos, but I absolutely love your longer content! It’s so satisfying seeing you start from a random box to an amazing roof design, keep it up man, you deserve so much more!
Really appreciate the kind words, and super happy that you like the longer form content! It's really my preferred form as you get to see the whole process!
Good tutorial! Gave me a few ideas, in particular what to do with all this hive wall I got lying around (playing through a Not The Bees seed currently). I mostly go for larger roofs myself, turning the A-frame into a storage attic and having the background shingles go a few blocks above the A-frame with a platform overlay (I don't really do solid roofs but if Idid, yes, dynasty shingles all the way!), Ifind that with "closed" background roofs you tend to get mobs trapped in the spaces (and Ilike the 3D effect of walking on the ridge of a roof then "sliding" down to the eaves xD).
Awesome, and hive wall is EXCELLENT for roofing and one of my favorites to use. You will have A LOT of it as well! Glad this gave you a few ideas for your next design!
Just finished the vid, and the design for my treehouse is coming together! I loved the last design's window, but I also liked the shape of the 2nd design, so I'll try to mix and match with both!
Supporting every Tommy Tsunami video, video 16. My favourite roof was number 3, I loved the simplicity and how beginner friendly it was, I always think flatter roofs feel more cozy :). (My RUclips has been glitching like crazy, it says I posted this comment on one of your shorts even though I am sure I commented on this video)
Damn merchant I can't buy any dynasty wood everytime he arrives, anyways dynasty woods are good designs for roofs in terraria, love your creation though.
@@nathanmccoy9188 You need to create a character in journey mode and when you open your inventory you will see the power menu and that will give you a host of options!
I think the best way to see some of the more complex roofs is to see other videos. Unfortunately, I can't make a tutorial on every roof variation I come up with. These are just meant to be the basics :)
Your English is just fine! The materials are covered in the video, but you can basically use any materials you find interesting. I suggest experimenting with a variety of them if you are not sure. Personally I like dynasty shingles for roofing and ebonstone and different wood types for the structure! Hope that helps!
Roofing can be tricky...Which design was your favorite?
I think hay roof
@@sadbob1673 Haha, I did build a hay roof in my starter home tutorial! It does make for a good design choice!
I remember you told me about this video, but I still like the walls for roof design though
@@abloxer7256 Haha, well I am glad you decided to check it out! Using walls is also faster :D
All roofs are cool, but the 4th roof is insanely good! Your work helps me live in Terraria. I'm rooting for you from Japan.
Wow, all the way from Japan! Thanks for tuning in! And glad you find the videos useful, I hope it helps you in your next build!

Bro you really did it great, just like an architect!!!! I'm suprised with your build construction. I'm gonna share this with some of my friends xD
Aw shucks! Thanks for the kind words! I am no architect, but glad that you like the designs. Hope they help you and your friends with your next build!

Mix and match is a GREAT way to approach things. You can always change things up if you don't like a particular feature!

Thanks! The merchant sells both dynasty wood and dynasty shingles...you can buy both if you have the money!
my favorite is everything
Hahah, well I'm glad it was useful!
What crafting mod is that? seems better than the recipes mod i have
I don't use any mods! I am playing in Journey mode which makes life a bit easier for building and is part of the vanilla/base game!
@@TommyTsunami oh lol how do you pull that up? I’m new here
