"Let me explain something to you, there is only one thing that matters if you are a singer, and it isn't the amount of talent that others say you possess. All you do need, is the guts to never give up. "

It depends on your voice. I would belt through that however in an R & B situation I would go into a mix voice where head voice mixed would sound like lighter chest. I would need to hear you.

Am glad you clarified this ken, lots of people think singing is a natural born skill rather than a developed skill. Looking forward to joining your academy in the future, was gonna join a music school, but i saw the graduates weren't even close to your students, so i rather wait and save up money for your program.

Thankyou for a little inspiration dude, Cheers :)

Man I absolutely love your voice. I actually read up on you a little bit because I've been so intrigued on your singing. Some of the things you went through early in life I've got a similar story and background that you have. The only way I've learned to sing is just by singing karaoke because I've never been able to afford any kind if vocal lesson. I can't even find a job because of past mistakes but my one passion that still shines through is singing. I would love to be able to afford your dvd

Amazing he sold as many albums as he did changing the very face of music and music artists. David Bowie can't really sing. Neither can Neil Young, Neither really can Bruce Springsteen, or Annie Lennox, or the singer from Dire Straights, B-52's, .I could go on and on and on and on, (not to mention the singers I mention in this video. It's WHAT they did with their "artistry" (Like Bob Dylan) that didn't stop them from becoming a great music artist.

I start going up and down when its not necessary but the bad part is i know that im singing bad but i dont know what im doing wrong. Also my voice starts to become just breath after i go a bit higher than norma. Im not a singer i just like singing along while im listening to some rock/metal. Can anyone learn to sing? Listen to this video on How to Sing at Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy. Ken lays it on the line with the truth about singing. Singing lessons from vocal coach Ken Tamplin can teach you how to sing better, how to sing high notes, how to safely sing with distortion, how to sing with better vocal tone, and how to sing with greater vocal range. YOU can learn to sing like a PRO with KTVA. Go to KenTamplinVocalAcademy.com to learn more, or check out Ken's Singers forums at forum.kentamplinvocalacademy.com/

+Minz Lee You are not using your abdomen for support. You are straining and tightening in the back of the neck. Have you done the "sit-up"
abdominal video exercise thoroughly in volume 1?
Once you focus first on abdominal support and relaxing tension in the
chest neck and throat, you may need to start with less time. (5
minutes a day, then 10 and so on). How long are you doing the
exercises for? Please post your questions to the Singers Forum at: forum.kentamplinvocalacademy.com You'll find a lot of help there. :)

I'd kill for just to be able to sing with my friends and not being totally out of tune... I'm like Cameron Diaz in My Best Friend's Wedding... I guess there is a difference between making your voice stronger (not such a problem for me, being able to give a three hour lecture in a 200 seats lecture hall without a microphone :)), changing your style, or growing your voice range when you're already able to hit some notes and sing a little bit, and learning to really sing while you are completely hopeless. I love music. I have never dreamed to be anything professional in this area, but I am listening to music pretty much all the time, I know tons of songs from various genres, and I am always singing along (when there's no one near to hear me), but I have long ago gave up the dream to be able to at least sing with my friend's guitar by a campfire, without disturbing others. I guess I should try rap, although that is not the typical campfire genre :)

Couldn't agree with you more, I don't consider this people “Singers", personally I can't listen to any of them.
In my humble opinion people deserve them because they accepted them as singers,
You probably know the story “The Emperor New Cloths”.
    This is it LOL
