It is really difficult to get out of your own head when you’ve been made to feel less than about your voice, especially from people you love. Props to her for being brave. It is something I’m trying to put behind me too.
I’ve been doing Pianote for a while and had no idea Singeo (and the guitar and drum ones) even existed. When I first went to the Singeo website I was like “Hey wait a second! I know her!” No wonder Lisa’s singing during piano lessons is always so on point. I had no idea she was a vocal coach too.

Honestly, as someone as well who has just recently started out their own singing journey, it is so nice to see that how I felt in my first lesson is exactly the same way as others felt. Just watching her then you can tell she’s got so much potential, yet her low confidence is blocking her from seeing that potential. SUCH A GREAT TEACHER TOO!!!!!!

I cannot sing which is endorsed daily by my husband 😢 I would really love to sing but get no encouragement and am embarrassed esp when my voice doesn’t reach a note or is flat! Yes, do the lessons secretly! Singing can be just for you! As you grow your confidence and start to love your voice (we know you will) then you can start singing to whoever you feel comfortable around! Can’t wait hear your feedback as your progress! 🎤🟣🎤
Kristie did so much better than I did... I would not have kept a straight face throughout the video... She is very brave and has a very nice voice... And it helps to have an amazing wonderful teacher/coach like Lisa :) I'm learning piano and using Pianote among other teaching services. I'm musically challenged on any instrument and have a Shrek-type voice with no sense of tune, basically tune deaf... I'm trying to teach my 5-year-old son because he seems to be much more gifted in music... and I want to nurture that and hopefully we can share music together ;D
really enjoyed this. I work with adults, with singing as a healing and community practice, and this story is such a common one, sadly. it was great to see how Lisa worked with practical tips that built on each other.
Love the singing lesson. I been trying to sing Let It Be the last few weeks with Pianote lessons, and finally got my voice to reach the A6 high note with voice and bubble type exercises. Love the lessons by Lisa....she makes it so natural and joyful to sing....

Okay, I absolutely love the piano. Unfortunately, I started at 62 years old! Could you please truthfully answer this,. Do you think I'm too old to learn to sing at 63? Would it be more difficult to learn to sing while learning to play the piano at the same time?!

Hey there “Metalhead”! Thanks for the suggestion. We absolutely plan on focusing on metal vocals at some point. It’s an important genre to touch on to avoid vocal damage. In the meantime, it’s very important to learn to properly breathe, warm-up and exercise the voice which we will be covering a lot over the next while so stay tuned. 🎤🎤

I have been following your channel for a year now but too bogged down this past year with home renovation projects (sadly the curse of a handyman) to committ to lessons. I am a musician that started composing during covid only to realize it was latent passion. I would really like to sing my own works but confidence and honestly general lack of training was a major factor in my comfort level to sing in front of others. Hoping to put much more focus in this New Year. Best wishes to you and your family!

Thanks for sharing, Mike. That is very common in singing. We will be addressing “shyness” often. You can always just practice when you’re alone... singing doesn’t always have to be a performance, in fact, it could be used as that therapy you speak of. ☺️
I loooveee this. Just this week I was thinking about my singing and how much I love to do it. My problem is that I sing and think that I’m doing great. Then I record myself, hear it and I don’t want to sing anymore. It kills my confidence. Could you do a video about it? That’ll be great. Excited for all the coming videos.
