The fact that she could still hit those high notes and the last high note, holy cow. And she was 57 during this concert? Not every singer can maintain their voice as they get older.
I don't think she is - she's only singing the one song, she's not holding the notes for long and doesn't sound "pitch perfect", but there has been gossip that she might be syncing bits and pieces on the Xmas tour, especially this song because she's doing it towards the end of a 2 hour show, holding notes for longer than she does here, and hits an even higher note at the end. She's pushing a "no video" policy at her shows so finding video's going to be tough.

Sarah performed so perfectly on stage. This is a live performance not recording. She can hit the high note live without out of tune. Brilliant. Also the Four medley sing so well. They are very professional. This is a spectacular live performance. 👍👍
In early 1988, when I was 17 years old, I travelled to NYC with a group from my school in a rural area of Canada. We saw Colm Wilkinson play the lead in Les Miserables in the afternoon, and Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in Phantom that night. Truly amazing day that I still carry with me and think of often, 30 years later. A few years later I saw Wilkinson as Phantom in Toronto. He was incredible in Les Mis, but nothing could ever come close to comparing to Michael Crawford. There was something about his presence as Phantom. An older, tortured man in such deep pain, frightening with the rage that he kept barely contained, yet captivating in the way he moved and gave you glimmers of what a gentleman he could be. I've adored Crawford all my life. A few years ago I was so sad to hear that we share a very unfortunate connection. We've both developed a systemic neuroimmune disease called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. It's taken almost everything away from me during the past 12 years, including my ability to work, and I'm barely able to care for myself. It keeps me in a constant state of illness, but one thing it hasn't taken from me is my precious memories of that day on Broadway so many years ago. I wish so much I could meet Michael and give him a huge hug. I'm thankful that he's doing better these days. 💜
Thank you for sharing those beautiful memories. I also saw Sarah Brightham and Michael Crawford what a memorable experience. God be with you each and every day.
THAT is like hitting the lottery jackpot of Broadway musicals. This is one of the few times I really get jealous of people being able to watch celebrities I wanted to see but did not. Lucky for you!
This is one of my favorite parts of The Phantom of The Opera since not just because we were able to hear the other 4 Phantoms and Sarah sing but it also kinda makes me forget how the ending made me cry. I will never get tired of watching and listening to the Phantom of The Opera.
Anthony Warlow has one of the most well controlled voices in the theatre world and I adore every song he sings due to the strength of his voice. Every phantom is magnificent in this and we have love and adoration for each one!!
I loved Phantkm of the opera. When it came to Iowa from Broadway. I took my husband...then a week later I took my grown daughter. Before it left the city I took my teen age grandaughter. So I saw it 3 times. Sarah Brightman was in the original cast. If I remember rightly Sarah was romantically involved with Andrew Lloyd Webber and he wrote the Phantom for Sarah's beautiful voice. SHE WAS CHRISTINE for years....these are the greatest voices right here on stage together. What a treat.
I saw Sarah perform the original Phantom of the opera when it first was shown in London. Everyone's voice changes and Sarah still has a magnificent voice. I totally applaud her, she sung wonderfully ❤️ at this performance. It must have been hard for her as well having been the original all of those years ago, but she nailed it. A big congratulations Sarah. 🤗🙏👍🌟
@@sloeberdoet John is more a sophisticated phantom than Ramin..all Ramin does is shout... John's final lair scene beats Ramin's by a long shot!...people automatically choose Ramin or Michael because they're easily assessable and well known..oh and cause Ramin's meant to be a " hot " phantom blah blah... Anthony Warlow and John Owen Jones are the true king's of the role!.
She isn't 107. I am a soprano, whose age we won't mention, I still have voice and breath control. No one mentioned the men, tenors I believe, holding notes and controlling their voices.... oh yes, they didn't.
Gosh, Brightman hands down and she should have gone to space, as when she hits the notes of a pure Soprano, during the final crescendo to 4:23. It's just spine tingling. Over a full orchestra, choir and all 5 other phantoms. Amazing.
five phantoms and 1 sarah brightman. the look in the faces of cast and executives, so proud of sarah's performance. very sweet voice. then, "soar................."
I’ve seen the version where Sierra did this and I was obsessed with it for a really long time. My sister and I watched this one yesterday afternoon for the first time and we were just shocked! We couldn’t believe her voice even after all of these years she sounds almost exactly the same! So beautiful! And all of the guys!!!! Oh my gosh their voices are enchanting and beautiful yet powerful too!
This is a tough one as all 6 Phantoms display such talent, voice range and voice color to their performance. Michael Crawford will always be the Original Phantom, hands down. Colm Wilkerson, the Canadian Phantom in Toronto is also known for his quintessential performance as Jean Val Jean in Les Miz. Strength and projection of voice goes to Rain Karimloo and Anthony Warlow. The voice range, especially in the upper Tenor range (bordering on falsetto) goes to John Owen-Jones and honorable mention to Peter Joback. The role of Christine Daae will always be Sarah Brightman's, however Sierra Boggess is a very capable understudy who is naturally talented to perform as the love interest of both the Phantom and Raoul.
2:38 to 2:50 What voices!!! My favourite Phantom I've seen on stage (John Owen Jones) and my absolute favourite Phantom of all time (Anthony Warlow) completely nailing it! They are spectacular. 6:09 onwards "Grasp it, sense it" just floors me. Perfection.

We had it performed in Pretoria South Africa many years ago and I was fortunate enough to get tickets to see it again before they left truly wonderful. That’s what theatre is about is transporting you to another world. Absolutely amazing ❤❤❤❤
Definitely Sarah Brightman and Michael: the originals will always be the best in my eyes. The role of Christine was LITERALLY made for Sarah! Christine IS Sarah. G.O.A.T.!!!
I was lucky enough to see her in Phantom many years ago. She was incredible then and she still is. I guess it's a perk of being old. I got to see all the og casts in all the Broadway plays.
The average human cannot help but be amazed and astonished at these fabulous voices that come out of their mouths. It has to be truly remarkable for someone to open their mouth and have fabulous sounds emanate from their throat! Of course there is voice coaching, training and musical knowledge that comes with their education but it is still a remarkable talent that we appreciate and love to hear. And ALW is a remarkable soul who can write these wondering musical entities that please us all.
I discovered this broadway master piece by watching a figure skating review in Minneoplis minnesota of the Olympic winners of 1988 featuring Brian Boitona who skated to the “music of the night” I was mesmerized. At the falsetto not at the end, Brian was doing figure eight patterns leaning back with a white poets shirt, building was dark and a diminishing spot lighting him as the song ends. Unforgettable moment and unforgettable song!!! Finding out where it was from I ran out a bought the soundtrack, since I’ve seen it 5 times in theaters and will always enjoy the power and music of Phantom, Andrew Loyd Weber’s best work!!
Colm will always be my favorite phantom. So much emotion in his singing, you really get drawn in to “his” phantom. They are all great though. “Let your soul take you where you long to be!!!!” -so much power, so difficult, so spectacular!
Oh man. So many feels watching this video. Ms. Brightman is amazing as ever. She doesn’t seem to age at all - and still nails that E6. (And “Music of the Night” is still one of my favorite showtunes. So many great tenors all with different, unique qualities to their voices.)
I'm pretty sure that was lipsynced. You can hear an abrupt change in her vocal timbre after Peter Joback's "sing!" She suddenly sounds 20 years younger at the end than earlier in the song.
Anyone else watched this dozens of times and can't help but smile from ear to ear each time?
My 6 year old knows all of the words. ❤

From these 4, Colm Wilkinson is certainly my favorite Phantom. All of them are amazing, but his voice, his control, oh my!
Same! He’s just so incredible
Anthony Warlow is the best for me.
John Owen Jones is my favorite but Colm is totally in my top 5
No one's gonna top Michael Crawford tho
Of the 4, my favorite is colm, and if you add Ramin , then my favorite is Ramin.
Sarah performed so perfectly on stage. This is a live performance not recording. She can hit the high note live without out of tune. Brilliant. Also the Four medley sing so well. They are very professional. This is a spectacular live performance. 👍👍

3:53 Switches to Sarah Brightman lip syncing
My god, what a beautiful story
may god bless you for sharing doc

Thank you for sharing those beautiful memories. I also saw Sarah Brightham and Michael Crawford what a memorable experience. God be with you each and every day.
THAT is like hitting the lottery jackpot of Broadway musicals. This is one of the few times I really get jealous of people being able to watch celebrities I wanted to see but did not. Lucky for you!
It’s great to see Anthony Warlow representing Australia here. Rest in peace Rob Guest…
Anthony does so well when singing
From Jekyll and Hyde to Phantom to Sweeny Todd
This is one of my favorite parts of The Phantom of The Opera since not just because we were able to hear the other 4 Phantoms and Sarah sing but it also kinda makes me forget how the ending made me cry. I will never get tired of watching and listening to the Phantom of The Opera.
Please do 1 Phantom with 4 Christine when this pandemic is over
And the Phantom should be Raminnnnnnn
Definitely! And maybe after that: one Christine Daaé and 4 Raouls for all I ask of you. Can we get the 25th anniversary cast for the 35th anniversary
Yes, I think so, too. And please one of Christine must be Sierra.
I actually did the theme as phantom with two christines
GERARD BUTLER
(I’m kidding)
@@yumemilee so long as it’s not Steve Harley
Anthony Warlow has one of the most well controlled voices in the theatre world and I adore every song he sings due to the strength of his voice. Every phantom is magnificent in this and we have love and adoration for each one!!
I wish Michael Crawford could of sang a bit as the Phantom with Sarah, what a reunion it would be, I mean he’s the OG Phantom.
Sadly he is did not dressed up as The Phantom for it!
He got asked last minute to sing and Michael is a purist and prefers practice so he politely declined.
He has to rest his voice because he was hot footed as Andrew put from the play he was in.
michael was in another musical when this was filmed, so he had to be on vocal rest.
@@claire6160 yes’m also part of the reason:))
I need a version of 1 PHANTOM & 4 CHRISTINE, how about that???
YES
This
the last 20 seconds of that would be CHAOS (and i’m here for it)
The one Phantom should be Michael Crawford. But the four Christines should be:
• Sierra Boggess
• Ali Ewoldt
• Emmy Rossum
&
• Sarah Brightman

My wife took me to the Majestic this past March for our 35th Wedding anniversary. Absolutely amazing production.
So beautiful to listen how each Phantom has the same tone and voice, the one we all have in mind!
All four of the past Phantoms. This must be such an honor for them to perform once again!
Perfect way to reunite the Phans once more! Missing this show more than ever😭
What an iconic moment
Truly the best part of the show!
YOUR PROFILE
I saw Sarah perform the original Phantom of the opera when it first was shown in London. Everyone's voice changes and Sarah still has a magnificent voice. I totally applaud her, she sung wonderfully ❤️ at this performance. It must have been hard for her as well having been the original all of those years ago, but she nailed it. A big congratulations Sarah. 🤗🙏👍🌟
At 10:13, the look Michael gives Sierra. And the little hand shake!
Adorable.
John Owen Jones will forever be my Phantom. He's got such a richness to his voice
Amazing voice
John Owen-Jones is known as the Friendly Phantom!
Same!.. he's a king
he has a beautiful voice but he lacks a little bit the aggressiveness and madness from Ramin and the haunting voice of Michael.
That high note blows me away every time, even had Andrew Lloyd Webber excited
Love Sarah, she sang this pretty amazingly well given her age and being out of her prime. Love it. Love all of her music
Emocionante lindíssimo
She sang it better in her original performance
I'm not a fan of her Christine, but her singing in this version always gives me chills!
She isn't 107. I am a soprano, whose age we won't mention, I still have voice and breath control. No one mentioned the men, tenors I believe, holding notes and controlling their voices.... oh yes, they didn't.
There is no age and prime. As long as her heart beats, she can be 57 or 80 and still be phenomenal.
The level that this star has reached is impressive. Few can accompany and sing with her. She is a wonderful Diva.💜
I’ve seen Phantom over 50 times…. Was a young 20 year old the first time in NYC on broadway… and many visits since. LOVE IT WITH ALL MY HEART.
That was absolutely incredible!!! I didn’t realize Crawford was there till Ramin bowed to him. I got goosebumps! And tears.
Gosh, Brightman hands down and she should have gone to space, as when she hits the notes of a pure Soprano, during the final crescendo to 4:23. It's just spine tingling. Over a full orchestra, choir and all 5 other phantoms. Amazing.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, she was lip syncing at the end
five phantoms and 1 sarah brightman. the look in the faces of cast and executives, so proud of sarah's performance. very sweet voice. then, "soar................."
Watched it in London last week still took my breath away ❤
Cameron Mackintosh tickles me. He’s so joyous, that smile. Like he’s hearing everything for the first time, every time. I love it ❤️
I’ve seen the version where Sierra did this and I was obsessed with it for a really long time.
John Owen-Jones' "soar" does things to me
ONE OF THE MOST ORIGINAL VOICES FOR THIS MASTERPIECE OF SONG, AND NOT ANYONE COULD EVER PERFORM IN THE WAY SHE. DID AND DOES. I LOVE SARA BRIGHMAN.
I really love the grin Colm flashes at JoJ and Warlow at 2:40 they do sound phenomenal together.
I love Sarah Brightman 😍🥰💕
Back off Wagner - Shes's mine!

What voices!!!
My favourite Phantom I've seen on stage (John Owen Jones) and my absolute favourite Phantom of all time (Anthony Warlow) completely nailing it!
They are spectacular.
6:09 onwards
"Grasp it, sense it" just floors me. Perfection.
Sitting here working 3rd shift listening to this tearing up at the absolute beauty of this whole thing. Truly a masterpiece that can evoke such emotion at any time it’s heard.
God, this was amazing. My mom and I were both crying at the end of this. Phantom of the Opera has played a major role in my 14 years of life. I even plan on getting a tattoo of the mask one day. ♡
I have a full back piece. Started it at 18 after having it impact my life for the first time as a teen. Now I’m grateful my children adore it as much as I do 💗
Anyone else think 🧐 The Four Phantoms sounds like a great operatic band? They are all stunning and their voices incredible 🤩
I lost my mind when I saw Colm Wilkinson enter the stage! He holds a special place in my heart because he was the Canadian Phantom. Thank you for uploading this video!
Both Colm and Ramin are both Canadian actors who were on stage in the Canadian company of Phantom.
Colm and Ramin did a duet in a production of Les mis.
This and the four Valjeans are simply magical. This kind of gig is the reward the fans of the musicals deserve.
Amazing! Thank God! All we have to do is to enjoy this miraculous reunion and the duet of Sarah and Ramin!! The true fan of “thePhantom of the Opera” recognizes this video’s preciousness!
That's gotta be such a relief when she hits that high note successfully.
OMG I'm in heaven!! Seen it 4 times on Broadway.I will see it again! Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman! I am Over the Moon!!
Anyone else "have a little something in their eye" at 10:20, when Ramin salutes Michael?
Definitely. Especially with Michael joins in on the last note.
@@darthkurland YES!!!
All cast Christine's are wonderful and cast for a reason, it must be a grueling process. But Sarah is beyond ♡
When colm starts: Yay!
When Anthony starts: Yay
When Peter starts: yay
When John starts:WHOOOOOOOOOO
When Ramin enters: everyone goes crazy
When Michael appears: the craziness goes through the roof.
Ooo ooo op
Wooo! Was hoping they’d post this and more phantom vids since last time! So incredible that they are still all so great sounding!
I love this video so much.. everyone just looks so happy and their performance is flawless and amazing💗 Also when Ramin honored Michael it brought tears to my eyes, this is one of my favourite things ever
Wow. I just love The Phantom of the Opera.. And Sarah Brightman is a true Angel! Gosh she looks like a Greek Goddess with the Phantoms around her! Classic! love it
5 phantoms if you include Ramin.
That is truly the best part about the show!
6 if you include Michael!! Just his presence was worth it.
They forgot Howard McGillin and Gerard Butler!
Was Antonio from after this show?
We had it performed in Pretoria South Africa many years ago and I was fortunate enough to get tickets to see it again before they left truly wonderful. That’s what theatre is about is transporting you to another world. Absolutely amazing ❤❤❤❤
I get chills when Andrew come on stage. He’s so proud of his creation
They're all incredibly talented in their own way. Michael Crawford is my personal favourite though. 🥰
Agreed. It's a real shame he couldn't perform along with Sarah.
@@erintwomey3846 although he did show up for the anniversary which is enough for me to see Sarah and Micheal on stage even though not singing together
@@Marrythenightgaga101 Yeah, that too
Wow! The amount of pure talent right there on one stage, mind blowing
It really is the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I saw Phantom twice in Melbourne, starring Anthony Warlow. Magic.
17 minutes since upload and 1.4k views already.... It's good to know I'm not the only one who clicked as fast as humanly possible
Anthony!!! 🇦🇺 and Ramin ofcourse! 🥰 Omg - I just saw now, how Ramin and Sierra honoured Michael and Sarah!!! Wow!!! Amazing moment!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Anthony Warlow is the best!
Colm Wilkinson will always be my Phantom. Traveled to Toronto 12 times to see him. Nicest guy ever!
I discovered this broadway master piece by watching a figure skating review in Minneoplis minnesota of the Olympic winners of 1988 featuring Brian Boitona who skated to the “music of the night”
I was mesmerized.
Absolutely brilliant. Love Colm Wilkinson.
I watch this often and I get so emotional. It is the biggest moment in music theatre history. Michael 😢 what a mammoth band of talent! Here here ❤
@@Ihdc1 You need to check your ears and work on your brain settings.
Ah, yes. The phans reunite yet again to hear the beautiful music 🖤
Literal GOOSEBUMPS and CHILLS. Had me smiling and crying at the same time.
I will never get tired of POTO25 ✨👏👏✨
