I feel like the atmos is clearer and more precise
I currently have the 1st and 3rd movie, so, for me getting the 3 disc set may be worth getting. I do have a AVR capable of IMAX Enhanced n Auro 3D.
I’m sure it’s worth it. The second movie is the best for sound. The third not so much.
Equalizer 2 has awesome Dolby Atmos effects.
Especially near the end when the hurricane is blowing.
How is Equalizer 3 in regards to the overall Atmos experience ?
In Australia we are still waiting for Equalizer 3 on 4K to be retail released. 😤

@myhometheater7029 this is my next pick up this week.i think besides exorcist believer is the Equalizer 3 movie collection. It's on sale right now for around $52
I don't think my old Marantz receiver can do anything with IMAX coded discs, in fact with my current setup, I can barely tell any difference AT ALL between the Blu-Ray and 4K versions most of the time (those rare cases where the 4K Transfer was exceptional or the BR release was just bad). I always try to get the best version available when I get a disc because I won't likely be upgrading from there. The only movies I have repurchased were upgrades from DVD to Blu-Ray/4K or even VHS to BR/4K. The only exception is LOTR, (I admit I was curious if the 4K would exceed the BR on that one). However, I don't blame you guys for buying whatever you want, not my point (in case I came off like one of those guys).
Just wondering though, are you ever put off by the messaging in a film so much that it doesn't matter to you what the picture or soundtrack sounds like, you just never want to see that movie again? This is often the case for me, but I realize I am different from many movie lovers in this respect.
Example one: a movie that looked and sounded fantastic that I absolutely hated was Annihilation. It seemed to me as if this movie was so purposely nihilistic and ugly with the most despicable characters, that it didn't matter how good the image or sound was, I would almost rather have teeth pulled than watch it ever again. And btw, they really had to work to get Natalie Portman and Jennifer-Jason Leigh (I think) to look ugly, but they did it.
Example two: Cobweb is a very recent release that is filmed so incredibly well, all of the shots are just horror-classics, from the backyard full of pumpkins to the old worn out house that hides these creepy, gigantic rooms; the care that went into making this movie is just breathtaking, the sound and picture are top notch. However, the underlying subtext is SO Anti-white, so Anti-conservative, so Anti-homeschooling, etc. it's just unbearable. The smart, brave black female substitute teacher has to come in and save the kid from literally every horrible white person in the movie who are portrayed as the most abysmal people of every stripe. I don't know how this message would escape anyone as it's pounded home with an unrelenting hammer in this film.
Like I said, just wondering if that ever happens to you when you watch a film?

Does the Anthem have anything to do with what you are hearing? Once you put the Emotiva back in play, will you watch it again to hear if there is a difference?
The Emotiva doesn’t have imax enhancements. The new one supposed to if and when it comes out.
