I don't know why, but that hug between the three where Daniel has his one arm outstretched for Rupert, while the other is hugging Emma just hits me in the feels.
The aabsence of Alan Rickman is painful. His screen death is one of the most moving. I hope at some time there was a toast or a moment to memorialize the actor who was so central to the series.
If I may add: Another reason for reshooting the epilogue was the negative feedback they got for the looks of the grown up trio (and Malfoy) seen from leaked images from the set. The makeup aged them much more than the 38 or so years old they were supposed to be. I'm glad they redid it. The original look was pretty darn bad. We can see glimpses of it in this video at 8:10. Harry looks very different here than in the final cut we saw.
So many people were watching a coming of age while coming of age. I think the loyalty and dedication of the cast and crew through so many years is really something unique.
I kind of understand why they don't tell the actors when their last day will be. However, I understand how heartbreaking it can be for the actors too. It is like running really fast for so long and then stopping suddenly.
2:20 is no one going to talk about how cutee they look on this scene like they r on the verge of tears but they still manage to look like the adorable glolden trio they truly are
Has anyone else realised that in book 6 professor slughorn says “after what happened to your friend Rupert” and then the actual actor who played Ron was named Rupert like is this just me??? 😦😶😐
It's cos slughorn never thought Ron was important so never remembered Ron Weasley so often times he basically called him whatever and I guess he slipped Rupert in too
For me it‘s still so crazy to imagine them filming everything but in total mixed up order in comparison to the final cut. These actors and actresses do such a good job, making us believe they went through all the scenes in the same order as we see in the final version, but actually filming e.g. the „Farewell“ scene of the first movie on the second day. I wonder if they fully realize and understand the whole thing while filming. I mean they red the script before but filming it must be totally different. Unbelievable what great films come out in the end

But there are loads of people to make sure it al fits and works out with all those different scenes, locations, etc. and they also make sure that other cast and crew won’t get confused and know exactly what they’re up too. But yes, it must be a very difficult job as an actor to tell the storyline in a totally non-chronological order!
I’m doing filmproduction myself, also making the shooting scedules, making sure other positions are on time, running the set, etc. I remember filming the final scène of a movie once and it was so emotional, at sunset and everything. It felt like the last day of us working as a crew and cast too, while we weren’t even halfways 😂 But it suited the scedule bests. Crazy stuff. I’m very proud of the actors still 😊 To think of that as a small movie and then you have HARRY POTTER, filming all those movies for a decade, with way more cast and crew… That must have been amazing!! And very challenging too. I’m forever thankful for these movies (and books of course!) ❤

so from the reunion we can tell that Dan was closer to the adult cast more than Rup and Emma. It showed that Emma cried and was more emotional with Rup and Tom than Dan.

But she knew that Ron and Hermione got married and Harry and Genny get married and have kids. Again idk how she knew cause I asked her recently and she just says idk it was obvious I guess.

When Harry lost Sirius it was such an emotional scene that it made both Emma Watson and Helena Bonham Carter cry
