I think Dobby's is most tragic because here was someone who could have gone on to live a life on his own and not get involve in a war that doesn't involve him or his kind. But he did and didn't get to enjoy much of his freedom.
Not really he joined the death eaters of his own volition when he was young. And he was also the one who told voldemort of where the potters were hiding.

There wasn't a dry eye in the movie theater at the end of this, especially when Dumbledore asked Snape, "After all this time?", and of course, he replied, "Always."
That alot to take in for harry learning the person who he hated the most was protecting him & the other who he thought had good intentions was only using him from the start.
Dumbledore was using him for a good reason. Harry's sacrifice was necessary to save the world. It was the only way. That doesn't mean Dumbledore didn't love Harry.
I feel utterly convinced that Rowling used inspiration from Heathcliff and Cathy from Wuthering Heights when creating the lovestory between Snape and Lily.
One of Snape's memories show Lily telling baby Harry to be safe, be strong. That occurred before Voldemort killed Lily. Snape was not in the house until after Lily was killed and Voldemort was gone. Only Lily and Harry should have had that memory, but not Snape.

I hope there is a scene where Lily’s ghost get to tell snape in the afterlife that she forgives him, as there is more than enough moments where all of us saw Snape risking his life for her son despite the mistreatment, and she got to realize the goodness in her old friend still lives on beneath the dark side

He was truly remorseful and wanted to say sorry but lily broke off their friendship and never spoke to him again. Snake regretted it until his death, and found himself partly to blame for leaking the prophecy about Harry to Voldemort, without knowing he was the son of Lily, and he failed to protect her, making him heartbroken for eternity over these wrongs and so he chose to protect harry as a lifelong atonement and out of love for lily. That’s what make him respectable even though he is hated for his bad side. So I believe lily, being a good person who sees the good in people, can also see that snape is still a good man and see his remorse and devotion for her
