I got chills when he said "You get married to be holy, not happy!" So powerful because happiness comes and goes. We sometimes romanticize marriage, but marriage is much bigger and more powerful than that. When people marry it's not just a commitment to one another, but to God. Marriage should glorify and honor God. Marriage is bigger than the marriage mates.

As a woman who was raised by a single dad, I can attest that all of the material things that fathers often work themselves to the bone for (for their children) do not compare to their presence and quality time. Many of us have settled for being better employees than husbands, wives, mothers, and fathers. We then come to a marriage or a relationship with not even a percent of that rigor, scratching our heads trying to wonder why it's not working.
I love how she never told Brian that she knew that he was a husband. This story reminds me of how Mary knew what she was carrying was from the Holy Spirit. Mary kept quiet, then the Lord spoke to Joseph, and told him to marry Mary, and the Child she had conceived was from the Holy Ghost. . God will always confirm what he says. Many of us have settled for being better employees than husbands, wives, mothers, and fathers. We then come to a marriage or a relationship with not even a percent of that rigor, scratching our heads trying to wonder why it's not working.
I love how she never told Brian that she knew that he was a husband. This story reminds me of how Mary knew what she was carrying was from the Holy Spirit. Mary kept quiet, then the Lord spoke to Joseph, and told him to marry Mary, and the Child she had conceived was from the Holy Ghost. . God will always confirm what he says. It's important to ponder what God tells us in our hearts and keep it to ourselves and watch God!!!!🙏🏾🙌🏾❤️

This is so beautiful. It’s like God reversed the “typical ideology” of the timeline of how marriage is supposed to look. Their ministry in my opinion went from “testing” to “triumph”. Their honeymoon is just starting and now that they’ve been through, possibly the toughest part of their marriage(prayerfully), they can continue to really enjoy each other blissfully ❤

I love when Brian basically said he knew he had to put aside his feelings during the trial/tribulation and do what was pleasing in the sight of the Lord.
Too often we hear or see how people throw Almighty God on the back burner (or are guilty ourselves) once He gives them the desires of their heart.
So I commend Brian and Basillia for their intentionality of always honoring the Lord above any negative circumstances; and continuing to recognize that their marriage is a gift/blessing.
