I totally agree!! Older women of the church need to take young women under their wings. Also, to have friends who can love you and pray with you through your dirt and not air out your business is rare to find. #friendshipgoals

This episode really shows the necessity of surrounding ourselves with wise, Godly counsel. That goes for both men and women. Regardless whether a person is an introvert, extrovert, loner or highly social, the circle of people we surround ourselves with makes a difference.

If you look under the comments of Titia and her husband’s episode, I said that, that particular episode was my favorite and that I could identify with Titia. At the time of me watching her episode,I was living in Ohio and have now been living here in Dallas since April of the beginning of this year. Fast forward to August, I go to a movie premiere where I was serving as a part of the production crew and who walks in the door none other than Titia ,Mrs.Franklin and a group of her friends. I introduced myself to her during the event and was joking with her about the “gas money”. She gave me the warmest hug and her laugh is so contagious. I can’t wait to read this book and garner the wisdom that was given to you. Blessings 😊

This was so insightful. As a single woman in my season of waiting for the one God has for me, this is really a tool. I always say that we often learn from mistakes, but they don't always have to be yours. And just by listening to all the ladies speak, one gets to see the areas in their life that still need fine tuning. Also, the need to be surrounded by Godly woman is paramount, this has been the prayer of my heart - for God to bring women who are after His heart into my life. Thank you so much for this.

Being completely transparent myself here, I fast forward through this episode earlier, but this evening something encouraged me to give it a listen. Wow, this panel of women were very encouraging and uplifting of their friend. And the complete open and honesty of this woman hit home with me. I was belittled by an ex but I had to remember who God says I am versus what others think they see and know.

After watching this, I thought about Queen Vashti and how I always wondered what happened to her after she was dethroned. We hear so little about her and I believe that we do ourselves a disservice by not studying her the way we do Queen Easter but like this wonderful woman, I know that God redeemed them both and for that I'm grateful.

Wow! Quite an eyeopener at a certain level. I'm now wondering in what ways I might have communicated disregard when I think I was being good.
My struggle was trying to connect at a certain emotional level by being real and open but it seems to have backfired. I wanted a friend in him but he kept locking down... everything said seem to have been taken personally often in a negative way, Until there was eventual withdrawal.
I begged for us going to counseling but when he would eventually agreed, he would listen and then mocked the process 😢.
Really wish it was otherwise as this man is a precious soul, but clearly wounded. I clearly tried to love as much... from my perspective but I wasn't seem to be able help.
After almost 40 years of marriage he divorced me without any discussion, based mostly on hearsay and I believe some things I opened up to him about😢

It's really really nice to see her daughter learn in a way that was not oppressive to her as an adult child, about some of the things that were happening between her parents when she was a child; and it's nice to see her recognize her mom's strengths and the ways that she was trying to take care of and protect her. That's a beautiful thing to witness.

I cried a couple of times during this podcast.
Humility, submission, wise and godly counsel is definitely the keys to walking in intimacy with God.
Even though l left an extremely toxic marriage and my Mr S didn't want to submit to counselling (l married a Christian) this interview exposed pride and
and other things within me towards the end of the relationship.
The Holy Spirit is helping me daily and am grateful.
I don't regret leaving the toxic marriage but l regret that l didn't work on myself more with the word whilst in the marriage.
Ps the night before my marriage l was having second thoughts but got the advise to go ahead with it from someone whom l thought was more qualified than l was.
I should have gone to my heavenly father.
Thanks Laterras for another powerful podcast.

To be fair to yourself getting counselling is biblical so if the other didn't want to walk in agreement with you- it makes it very difficult to have peace and fulfillment in the marriage. A healthy happy marriage requires "2 walking together in agreement ." God gives us many chances so look ahead to your future.

I so agree that the wrong tv shows and even music can influence a woman's actions. I realized in my 20's when someone yelled to me "You aren't living a movie script. This is reality, so stop giving me answers from movie scenes ". It was sad, but true. I had to work on me and what I like and didn't like.
I also related with nice nasty. Thinking because you said it nice it wasn't nasty.
This was a truthful interview. From how to trap or get a man to living with a trapped man. We all know how a trapped animal acts when it doesn't want to be cage.
Now you have to figure out how to deal with a person who was tricked into a situation.
Honestly trapped may not be the word because she sounds like she out played the trapped.
Anyway I will get the book

This one right herrrrree. Set me free. I have Soo much in common as does my personal experience to include the Dad coaching... Manipulation to get what I deserve... And avoiding red flags to "win"....., the back and forth....too much to text. I had been disobedient, even wrestling with the HS while hearing this...to the HS telling me to be honest about a past circumstance/grievance I committed against an Ex. Literally, picked up the phone and finally did it. To GOD be the glory. A slave to pride no more. Excited to live my life FREER than I did before this ep. Thanks for this testimony. Please know your obedience has set a person free. Excited for the Freer woman my future Kingdom Husband will receive in GODs due time.

Give them the answer in the question. I NEEEDED that in a way you won't believe. I have needed a way to communicate my ideas all my life without hurting a man's ego and pride. No matter how soft, nice, kind thoughtful or "baby", "honey", everything is offensive in me offering any advice to a man. Give the answer in the question from Sis. Evans through Tisha has blessed my life. Thank you Lateras and the panel. And I love Priscilla.🙏🏼

God's timing is impeccable. I do not find it strange that i am seeing this today with what the Lord is doing in/with/for me. This is video touched on several current prayer topics. I haven't read the book yet but i already know the story because that was my story. Ive been divorce for nearly 7 years and I am no longer that broken, manipulative girl but until today i wrestled with feelings wirthy of being a wife again although it is my desire. Thank you Jesus! Thank you Tissia for your testimony, wisdom and guidance.

Wow! Great job to all the ladies. I can’t wait to read this book. After two failed marriages. I feel gracefully broken. I recall at a very early age in grade school when teachers would ask, “what would you like to be when you grow up.”I would say a housewife. Not to be just a stay at home mom, but someone that served my family. I still ask God to work on me. As my relationship with God continues to grow God reveals to me how he must be a part of the union daily. Princilla you inspired me to make my prayer closet and what a powerful gift my secret place became. I would love the opportunity to just have an authentic conversation with you as a sister in Christ trying to adapt in my season of singleness. God is so good! If my failed marriages allowed me to learn how to pray from my gut and pray and show grace to others. I must say Thank you Lord!!

First of all, I was surprised by this upload. I thought it was a 2 week break, a wonderful surprise!
I remember being addicted to soap operas, listening to this lady admit how she approached her life like a soap opera and buying into the whole drama played out and adopting it for herself, scares me because now this drama is streaming on netflix, hulu, HBO etc on demand, and little guys and gals are soaking it and God knows they are buying into it. That is why those of you who are gifted in a way to write, produce, and /or direct content that puts forth biblical values should get on these spaces
I am so proud and arrogant, in pointing out how others are deceptive and manipulative, i honestly would not have been a friend to Titia, so i honor the people who would see her put on her show and love her nonetheless. i literally cant deal even with kids who are not wired to be forthcoming and it is now that i realize that it is also inherent in certain personality types not to be.... seeing it playing out in a kid. he literally cant ask a direct question about what he wants
anyway, now I am going to listen to the episode she was on with Laterras because this "off the podcast" got me hooked onto the person Titia is.

Great is an understatement. Being surrounded by authentic, loving and spiritual women is very important in the covenant of marriage. These women just displayed that with Titia. I'll start welcoming such women in my life and Titia is one of them because I'm purchasing her book. Thank you Laterras!

This hit home so hard, smh. Your podcast is comfort for me. I have a long way to go but I’m trying to fix myself and our marriage. I don’t want to fail again.
I was with my first husband 21 years and all I saw was his wrongs, so I never saw my own. He really did some damage to me as a person and a wife, but I saw in this where I was wrong also. I need to read this book. Thank you all…

Thank you for the surprise episode first and foremost!
This was really really good and I am so appreciative for all the wisdom offered here from this powerful panel.
While I understand and love the reason for anyone to buy/read the book, my one hesitation is that I don't want to 'learn' about the deception or anything else potentially negative to the healing process. I don't want to plant the seed for the times when I may be weak and 'puffed up'.
I just want the lessons... How to redeem ourselves...
Her prayer for glorification in another marriage; to show what has been learned, was absolutely beautiful.

Great message here. Not many women are taught how to speak more gently with men. We forget we're not talking to our friends and let some things slip out that can be taken the wrong way, because our partners don't have that type of bond with us.

    • @1234nfd
      @1234nfd 2 года назад +1

Men aren't taught how to speak to women either and be sensitive to their nature. It's a 2 way process. Scripture says "Husbands be sensitive to your wives as the weaker sex." Wives win your husbands with a quiet and gentle meek spirit but Peter mainly wrote this for unbelieving husbands.

    • @19Hollisterchick90
      @19Hollisterchick90 2 года назад +1

@@1234nfd It would be nice if an issue can be addressed without someone saying "It goes both ways." That was the gist of the video. She married a man and admitted that although he was flawed, the way she spoke to him added to the demise of their relationship. We can't take full accountability if we start going on about what others are doing.
