that 1 handed playing at 5:26 is one of the smoothest i think i've ever seen stevie has a soul of blues talent like no one else and is definitly one of a kind
Let's not forget those lovely panoramic shots from the next county. Give em hell.....Reminds me of a comment made by President Truman; During a speech a supporter yelled out "Give 'em Hell, Harry!". Truman replied, "I don't give them Hell. I just tell the truth about them and they think it's Hell."
THE best blues guitar player ever. Untouchable, and ain't nobody gonna get on my case about who's better, jimi or stevie, because stevie played a couple jimi covers outta respect, and blew jimi outta the water. God rest your soul, stevie ray.
An amazing guitarist and shocking loss...I saw both Clapton and Stevie Ray that year. At Clapton's show sure everyone was in awe as they sat in their seats. When Stevie took the stage at his show, everybody stood up and nobody sat down the entire show. Not once, what electricity.
well its oct 3rd, 2013 currently I must watch stevie's videos for 24 hours in honor of his Birthday, Happy Birthday Stevie, you're alive in Memory and we all surely miss you...Rockin' in heavens above I imagine.
Saw him live with the greatest lead player Jeff Beck! In Oakland Stevie Ray Vaughan encore was with Carlos Santana!!! 3 of the all-time greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stevie Ray had more passion in his little finger than most guitar players do in their whole body. His technique, tone and soul will always be held in my highest regard.
I wish i was there that evening. The people who has seen him doing an live performance should be a lucky bastard!!! Thx RUclips members to spreading his legacy!! Long Live SRV!!
I spent a lot of time in Austin way back then and had the honor of watching many of Stevie's shows. He never eased into a show...it was wide freaking open from the time he stepped onstage. The guy was unbelievable and a very very good singer as well. I am so glad that Stevie got to travel around and share his talent with the rest of the world even though we like to think that he was one of our own here in Texas.
I saw SRV at Manor Downs with Delbert McClinton opening a benefit show for the UT Cowboys in '85, and he opened with "Scuttle Buttin" and it was like a tornado blew in. Unreal. I have never been able to really explain what that was like but you are right - he started that show with all possible fury and I will never forget it. I grew up in Houston and went to UT and saw SRV at least a dozen times over those few years, but that Manor Downs opening will always be one of the high water marks I ever witnessed in live music
@@bobke114 - I don't remember Jerry Jeff - we got there when Delbert was already on, but yes, Stevie was still a trio and he came out blasting "Scuttle Buttin" with a big Sherlock Holmes-type pipe in his mouth
This guy that upload this must have more of this concert! Please Please uplaod the concert, It Have the best quality of sound and view. SRV is just one of the best artist in the world, I have all his cd''s originel, but can you please uplaod the hole concert, if never heard this version. SRV, God bless you my dear!
OMG I was THERE! What an incredible and stunning performance‼ If only I had known then how damn lucky I was to have seen him on stage at least once in a lifetime! What a terrible loss! RIP Stevie! Peter Rüchels "Wutt juh pliess wellkomm" is also unbeatable! Thank you so much for this - and all the other stuff, too!
What a legend and it's coming up 20 years on his tragic passing. Check out that action on his frets around 1.15 seconds in!! holy shit not just bass strings high wires too.
Wow! Seen quite a few S.R.V. videos of those songs, saw him live twice, but I feel really sad for whoever the act was that had to follow that soul crusher/face melter.
+lee buchanan Where was It you saw him? and what year? My dad saw him here In Utah at a fair On October 9, 1985! He was 19 years old and It was his first year out of High School as Stevie was 31!!!!!!
damn dude i'd like to see you play that smoothly. and that amazingly, let alone with all those notes that he throws in there that i'm sure u wouldn't have even thought to be there. he is real talent and true soul.
been a while I didn't hear his playing... it's so intense, fast and "handcraft" sort of thing... like it was all about doing it sooo much many and many times again.
Excellent! Thank you for sharing. I have always wondered about Stevie's clothes. There seems to be no particular style. He seems to wear just what he likes or is into at the moment. I love this outfit!
@creativemees I have the entire concert also and uploaded a few from it, not in this good of quality, but the sound is just as good, plus I uploaded a few years ago now.
@turnbacktime dont knw sir it was spontaneous. it can be a sign of my immaturity SRV and hendrix are compared because SRV was inspired by hendrix and a few SRV compositions reflect it clearly. honestly speaking i dont knw if i am good enough to appreciate their music
i wonder if its not sweat..if you watch him play WHAM! at El Mocambo you can see that there is sweat all over his guitar, and if it was hot here...(which it looks like it was) his guitar was prob all wet with sweat...but then he might have oiled it up to fatten it...which he talked about in an interview at one point. one thing is for sure..he tears it up as usual
Way to go Stevie, ease yourself into the gig why don't ya!!!??? Fuck me, blazing from the off and what a loss to us all. You know what, I wish he'd never covered Hendrix and then all these lame ass, no brained and stone deaf idiots who can't see his true genius and individuality would have nothing to twat on about. Forget his frettin, try and find a guitarist with a right hand like his and you'll not manage it! A true great and sadly missed by millions!! Love you Stevie
that 1 handed playing at 5:26 is one of the smoothest i think i've ever seen stevie has a soul of blues talent like no one else and is definitly one of a kind
I've never thought that these two songs could be combined... so if the world didn't explode already, we're safe... for now...
Outstandingly COOL AND THE BEST guitar player in the world of music
Let's not forget those lovely panoramic shots from the next county. Give em hell.....Reminds me of a comment made by President Truman; During a speech a supporter yelled out "Give 'em Hell, Harry!". Truman replied, "I don't give them Hell. I just tell the truth about them and they think it's Hell."
It's simple, SRV doesn't play, he does magic.
Absolutely ridiculous. And to think that he was a bit worried of playing worse when he wasn't doing drugs... This is Stevie at his best. :D
Good Lord. He really "eases into" this gig, doesn't he?
Like a tornado!
The best rock/blues guitarist of all time....................
WE MISS U STEVIE & Double Trouble ☹❣
Thankyou for all the love u passed our way...even in 2022...the GOAT 😍🎸🔥⚡🌟
THE best blues guitar player ever. Untouchable, and ain't nobody gonna get on my case about who's better, jimi or stevie, because stevie played a couple jimi covers outta respect, and blew jimi outta the water. God rest your soul, stevie ray.
he's probably the biggest Hendrix fan i've seen. still, with his unique style. nice...
An amazing guitarist and shocking loss...I saw both Clapton and Stevie Ray that year. At Clapton's show sure everyone was in awe as they sat in their seats. When Stevie took the stage at his show, everybody stood up and nobody sat down the entire show. Not once, what electricity.
Clapton admitted Stevies talent scared the crap out of him lol but both greats in different ways ❣
Sweet! scuttle buttin' is one of the greatest guitar licks of all time!!!
DAMN!!! 5:36,, Talk about feelin it!! SRV Lives on Forever!
One of the best versions of Scuttle Buttin. STRONG and POWERFUL!! My heart cries for SRV. God bless that he´s music lives on!!
well its oct 3rd, 2013 currently I must watch stevie's videos for 24 hours in honor of his Birthday, Happy Birthday Stevie, you're alive in Memory and we all surely miss you...Rockin' in heavens above I imagine.
rest in peace stevie....the very best guitarist of all time....
Saw him live with the greatest lead player Jeff Beck! In Oakland Stevie Ray Vaughan encore was with Carlos Santana!!! 3 of the all-time greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He came right out with guns a blazin! He must have been Billy The Kid in a former life! We will never see the likes of this ever again.
Love how he plays the scuttle buttin lick higher up on the fretboard at 2:02
Wow! What a gem of a video.
Yes he did! But my heart he is very much alive!!
Stevie Ray had more passion in his little finger than most guitar players do in their whole body. His technique, tone and soul will always be held in my highest regard.
I'll Testify to that as well!
Ahhhh- that was nice!
best version of testify ever
one thing for sure, stevie gave his all on stage. such incredible talent. no one compares. i never grow tired of listening to him play.
I wish i was there that evening. The people who has seen him doing an live performance should be a lucky bastard!!! Thx RUclips members to spreading his legacy!! Long Live SRV!!

Stevie and Jimi Hendrix are the two best guitar players of all time. No doubt, hands down. I would have loved to see those two jam on stage.

Lol, Germans and the blues... couldn't be more surprising. Respect to them, though. They know how to recognize a god among men.
I LISTEN TO THIS ON FULL BLAST EVERY TIME
that thing at 5:28 is magical!!!
SRV! :' )
Love the crowd at this gig, sections of em just goin wild, brilliant stuff all round
Well it does look like there is something different about it. I believe that spot is usually darker...
Legends say that those baloons are still flying and feeling the blues! R.I.P
Once in a lifetime talent. Truly, SRV changed guitar playing as we knew it.
My parents got married on the day Stevie performed. Coincidence? I think not!

The clothes of stevie, inspired in Hendrix´s style?? . barroco, sofisticado, extrovertido, vivo.
