This band is so much fun, and all of their acoustic-ish songs are hyped like this. You won't regret going down the rabbit hole with this band. And they're siblings.
Welcome to the Lawrence Family Business! Time to go down the rabbit hole... All acoustic-ish/ or live versions on RUclips.. More Gracie centric songs: 23, The Weather, It's not all about you, Freckles More Clyde centric: Guy I used to be (Newest song), Do you want to do nothing with me? (Not the same acoustic, but a live version from Seattle Secret Shows is fantastic), Live and Let Die (cover, preformed live in concert) They also have a docu series from the tour right as covid lockdowns were lifted. It's all amazing. They're about to kick off another tour in support of the new yet to be released album. You definitely need to go live if possible. Again, Welcome!
Definitely rabbit hole - look for all of their Acoustic versions... they are insane live and these are always amazing. Grace generally leads with Clyde doing some too, but the latest song they have (also has an acoustic version) of Guy I used to Be - is him all the way as the lead singer. This group is one you definitely should keep on checking out.
I can say you'll have more fun if you continue to go down a Lawrence rabbit hole anything acoustic/acoustic-ish youll love. Also it is a brother sister band with 6 other instrumentalists that make up the band Lawrence. If you want to hear more of Clyde singing they're newest acoustic-ish video "guy I used to be" is a great performance that show cases his singing more. Great reaction hope you enjoy if you do go down the Lawrence rabbit hole theyre such a fun group.
MOAR LAWRENCE!! 😄 can't go wrong reacting to their other "acoustic-ish" videos ("23", "I'm Confident I'm Insecure", "Guy I Used To Be", "The Weather", etc)
Yep here we go...outside of pop radio and for lovers of legit music...they're absolutely massively known and loved. To learn all about them...here's their short doc. And we're all looking forward to seeing them live on tour this fall: ruclips.net/video/9oueqa38OJ0/видео.htmlsi=N7ymheENX_9fm0qM
The breathing is deliberate...it's live and acoustic and it fits with the sentiment of the lyrics. BTW, they do a 'safe' version with, 'This thing's gonna kill me.....'
Great choice, Great reaction. Factoid: Clyde Lawrence became the youngest member of the Songwriters Guild of America at 6yo. Clyde wrote the pageant music for "Miss Congeniality". Their father Marc Lawrence is a director, producer, and screen writer who wrote the screenplay for Sandra Bullock's "Miss Congeniality". Marc didn't like the music they had, asked Clyde to write a song, and it got used throughout the film ①. Talented! I'll recomend Sean Paul - Get Busy (Lawrence Live Cover, Feat. Rashawn Ross) It's a fabulous Bop! However, it's mainly Gracie, the horn section, and Rashawn Ross on trumpet. Best Wishes. ☮ Edit: I thought I should warn you Rashawn Ross plays trumpet, and isn't a singer. ① the producers didn't know Clyde's age
You guys need to listen to "23" acousticish, and/or "I'm confident I'm insecure" acousticish, and if you want more Clyde focused one "the guy I used to be" regular or acousticish is great!! But everything by them are great
23 is my favorite acousticish by them that's Gracie featured, but you said you're looking for more Clyde voice so def check out the latest one "Guy I Used to Be." crazy clyde performance
This isn’t to knock or troll you ladies, but I don’t understand why I see the word “lose” spelled “loose” absolutely every where I look! It’s wild! It almost feels like it’s a meme I don’t know about or something. Anyone else noticing this?!
Waiting on more Dan Vasc My heart will go on metal version and opera mix it’s a anthem now it got 100 thousand views in 24 hrs and it’s still kicking ass it’s a must he made this into his own masterpiece everyone loves it they all put on there play list with a big smile on it love y’all please Don’t wait anymore it’s as good as his Amazing Grace
Whenever they do one of these acoustic versions, Clyde always arranges them differently. They certainly like to rock the gospel or blues vibe. The weather acoustic has a second half that's literally labeled gospel reprieve. Guy I used to be, which is their latest song, it's just more of a jam session at the end by Clyde.
this is a Gospel and pop fusion (mostly Gospel). Gospel as a genre is defined more-so by the chord progressions/arrangements than lyrics, and this chord progression is very gospel inspired
@@jason.s.music. and to think that is just THIS version of the song. While the original studio version also still has gospel-ish elements It is much less pronounced than this live arrangement.
Hello ladies, greetings from UK I think I counted 12 people there. If they perform a gig I wonder how much each person would get paid? There are a lot of people to share between 😂
Their 8 pc is astonishingly good also. They're one of those bands you need to see live to appreciate their full talent. And, as Clyde testified at a Senate Committee hearing in ‘23, making a living as an Indie 8 pc. band is no picnic, either.

Hearing breaths is common in an acoustic performance. It makes it more raw and authentic.

Over-the-top silliness and also, "loose" is not "lose".
There are 3 Lawrence siblings in the group, Clyde and Gracie and then Linus is one of the background vocalists
Do The Weather Acousticish by Lawrence next
You guys need to listen to "23" acousticish, and/or "I'm confident I'm insecure" acousticish, and if you want more Clyde focused one "the guy I used to be" regular or acousticish is great!! But everything by them are great
If you like Clyde's raspy voice, try one of their older videos:
Friend or Enemy
where Clyde leads.
23 is my favorite acousticish by them that's Gracie featured, but you said you're looking for more Clyde voice so def check out the latest one "Guy I Used to Be." crazy clyde performance

You think of reacting to tv shows at some time ?
Like what??
Is this Gospel? Sounded a bit like it until the bad language started 😁
......unless I miss-heard and they were singing about a boat? 🤣

@@jason.s.music. It did sound like the style of some Gospel I have heard on the tv, but the tv was my only source of reference. Thank you 🙂

It's an 8 piece band and the background singers aren't part of it. They bring them in for the acoustic-ish videos only.
@@emotionalideas Aha! Thank you. This is the first time I have heard/seen them. They were really good 🙂
