I like watching these videos so much. Ryosuke seems like such a gentle soul, he's so playful and enthousiastic and expressive. He seems to really deeply experience things with an almost childlike wonder.
These Day in my Life videos are so essential to me, you have no idea how much they are helping me and calm me down in my rushed life... I hope you and Ryosuke are doing good! I will continue to watch and rewatch and rewatch your videos..!!!
While I love all of your videos I think your day in my life videos are my favorite! The genuine reactions to daily life are always upbeat and put a smile on my face. Thank you very much for sharing these experiences with the youtube community!
I just want to say that you guys are amazing and I have enjoyed binge watching your videos so much. You both seem to be so well matched and the way you treat each other with so much kindness and compassion is fantastic. Thank you for sharing your trip to Ghana with your subscribers as well as your life in Japan.
Your dad has a really pleasant voice! It seems like your parents have a really nice life in Ghana :) I've only ever been to Kenya and Uganda, I'd love to see some of West Africa as well.
It is so neat that you have been able to travel and explore different countries and cultures. Thanks for sharing your adventures. We have rain like that here in FL. I have been soaked to my skin in a 10 second walk from the car to the door. It is nice meeting your family too. I hope you had a fun trip!!
It's so awesome how you both adapt to your environment and accept things as they come without complaining or Sticking to your comfort zone. It's so great! love you both!
I hope you'll make a whole video on your parents reasons for living in Ghana and how they're doing. If you already have I may have missed it, can you link it here?
In previous videos (or in her blog?), Grace said that her mother is the head of a university in Ghana. I'm not sure what her father does, but perhaps he's also on the faculty? Grace also said she didn't live in Ghana with them in recent years due to her state of health.
I just arrived home from Ghana, and I can certainly sympathize with the sweating -- rainy season makes for a very humid Ghana and lots of sweat! (Also, ahh, watching your husband struggle with the water satchet was adorable. I could also tell that you've settled right in when you said it just needed a 'small small' bite -- such a Ghananian phrase!)
Every thing was beautiful in this video! I have never seen water in a plastic bag before; what a great idea to cut back on plastics. Thank you very much for this video!
When I saw the palm wine I immediately thought of Calpis, so it was funny that Ryosuke said they tasted similar. I looked it up, and apparently Calpis has an acidic flavor due to being produced through lactic acid fermentation. Palm wine also seems to be made through a process of lactic and acetic acid fermentation, which likely gives it the similar acidic flavor of Calpis. Interesting stuff.
so awesome how y'all did a presentation so they can learn how to be youtubers. Grace, your mom and dad are amazing with the work they do in Ghana!! much love from Texas!!!!
So good to see you xoxo xoxo!!! I'm so glad you made a video with your mom and dad so cool to see them. I can't tell you enough how great it is to see you guys
Your dad looks great ! Every place look so much fun with Ryosuke and you ! Thank you for brigning sun and happiness in such a beautiful way ! Thx to your parents as well !
I absolutely love your channel and have been watching it for at least 2 years. I have been busy with school work but I caught up again today and I'm so glad to see you two are still enjoying life and having fun. I will continue to support your channel by spreading the word about it as much as possible! You two are adorable together btw and you totally remind me of one of my close friends.
Great video! I love learning about how other people live in different countries! It's one of the reasons I initially subscribed to your channel! Your folks seem like nice people! Really enjoyed this one. Thanks!
+Chauna May I ask which cultures? Africa has numerous different ethnic groups even with the same country. And each of these groups have their own languages and cultures. For example I'm apart of the Igbo tribe :)
StarRoseAngelic tbh I am interested in all of Africa as a Continent Anywhere from Nigeria Qatar, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Tanzania, Dubai, Egypt etc etc. I always love watching new documentaries about different African countries since school doesn't really teach us much of anything about anything I like to do my own research learning about different tribes, wars, poverty, Ebola, sex trafficking, I like to be informed about what's going on in the world :)
oh and I meant to say African cultures. Yea I forgot which country in Africa it was but they have over 800 languages and I think that's either freaken cool or super hard yo communicate with people. I think it was Papua New Guinea (which also has the highest number of canablism and use they use a mean of screaming to communicate. I just they are so far behind the rest of the world, money is still new to them
this vlog takes me right back to my time in Ghana. it is almost 4 years ago now, time runs too fast.... I really miss it, the people, the food and even the hot african sun It sems both of you really enjoyed your time there :)
You have such an awesome, international family! Glad to hear things are okay in Tokyo. Very much looking forward to my trip there in a couple of months!
That water in the bag thing reminds me of Guatemala, where we would buy a soda and they would pour it into a plastic zip-loc bag and put a straw in it, and that was how we would drink it.
We have those touch me nots/bow plants in Hawaii, too! I forgot what it was called there. I used to play with them in high school. Couldn't get enough.
Oh, now I'm nostalgic for drinking liquids out of bags. Mauritania didn't have the commercial bagged water- you had to pay waaay more for bottled if you wanted non-tap water, but you could get bissap juice and yogurt and stuff in baggies. Or if you bought soda, you would get it in the bag. I remember traveling to Senegal and Ghana for vacation and being so excited by how cheap the clean water was, and all the bagged sugary milk and drinks we could buy at the garage or out the window of the bus on trips.
I got nostalgic, too! We do something similar in the Philippines for sodas. They'll sell it by serving (vs per bottle/can). They'll pour it in a clear plastic bag and tie a straw inside it. You then carry it around with you and drink out of the bag by the straw. ❤️
wow ghana kinda reminds me of brazil's rural area! like the vegetation, chickens and even houses.. no wonder, since our culture tough very mixed have strong african influence
That was so interesting. Thank you for sharing. You two are so cute together! Your parents are great and I see where you get your sense of adventure. Have a fantastic day.
Those 'touch-me-nots' we have in Australia, but we call them 'sensitive plants'. If they're the same plant, they're Mimosas, they'll get fluffy purple flowers and the stems are thorny. As kids, we used to challenge each other to run barefoot across a patch of them, just for fun. Because as we all know, children are insane.
I like watching these videos so much. Ryosuke seems like such a gentle soul, he's so playful and enthousiastic and expressive. He seems to really deeply experience things with an almost childlike wonder.
It's nice to see people appreciate African culture as well. Thanks for the video! :)
