I've loved these Ghana vlogs! I feel like (at least here in the UK) all we're ever shown of Africa is poverty and hardship. It's so refreshing to see a chilled-out account of regular life, without everything being put in a negative light. Ghana looks beautiful, I'm glad you enjoyed your trip!
+AbiSaysThings That's what I was hoping to do! When I first moved to Africa as a kid (and later back to America for boarding school + college) it was difficult explaining to people that there are tons of countries in Africa that are all different - it's very diverse, chill, and interesting to live in.
it was a room bathroom, so there was a lock on the door most likely(though some places might not have them) but he probably thought he locked it and didnt.
If you guys were any cuter my face might melt. I love how even though Ryoske doesn't do PDA you can just see on his face how much he loves you. That kind of love is priceless.
I sit when I pee too. The toilet gets seriously dirty stinky and disgusting way too fast if you pee standing. It's kind of common sense, especially if you have to clean your own toilet.
i like how ryosuke seems so mellow when he first wakes up. its like you see his moods from mellow in the morning to having a funky go happy persona in the afternoon :)
your videos are so calming to me. When I'm stressed and I need to calm down to go to bed, your videos help me so much. Not to suggest they are boring, rather that you have such a calming, pleasant attitude to everything you approach that it's almost infectious. love your channel, hope you are having a lovely day :)
I love your videos! I started watching #1 when it popped up on a Random search and now I'm on #21 less than 24 hours later you guys are so funny and cute & I love the realistic n honest insight you give on an american living in Japan.
Finally caught up with the latest vid! All the A Day in My Life vids are all so fun and relaxing to watch while sitting down and just having a tea break. You guys are the cutest couple~
Wow! A French press makes the best coffee but only the smartest people know. Your dad's quiche looks scrumptious! Thanks for another great video. Your DILs are my favorites.
This is so amazing! It is so wonderful you are able to travel around to different countries!!! Thank You sooooo much for sharing videos of your trips with us!!!!
I'm in love with your video ! I learn a lot and relaxing see the both of you happy ! Each video is a lot of work for sure, but they are amazing ! THANK YOU ! Xx
This video could, again, hardly be a "daily life" of anyone! It's sooo interesting and fun! The Ghanaian fashion is beautiful. And I really like Ryo-chan's shirt! Good going, fellas!
Judy JR R-ske's lips are definitely the ones moving in sync with the clearly audible "yay". If US-Mom echoed him (I did see lip motion on close review), it's too faint for my audio playback, so I cannot judge likeness to Grace.
One of the little kids who Ryosuke was chopping wood with was wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey. I know they probably don't care about hockey, but the Maple Leafs are the typical underdog team. Something about seeing a small child from Ghana, wearing a Canadian jersey, via a Japanese man & Texan woman, as a New York college student, currently in Connecticut, who knows about the team through my friend, who lives in a completely different Canadian province, it all made me think of the odd & lovely ways different countries and people interact and connect sometimes. :D
I stand in the daylight and sit at night (it keeps my feet dryer) Love that Ryosuke your so cool. thanks for the video it makes the world around us close neighbors. I can give you 10 thumbs up (i'm all thumbs because of my arthritis)
I loved seeing this part of the trip to Ghana, so thanks so much for sharing it. To answer Ryo-chan's question, I know my spouse sits down when he pees. He does have a paralyzed leg, so he kinda has to.
+Jessica Golden I've really gotten into making them recently too - I'd love to do one of these every week (but, like, would people keep watching them?? Who knows)
Husband is from Iraq & he & our sons all sit to use the bathroom . It is the preferred way in the Middle East . They believe it is healthier & properly empties the bladder . He said it aligns your body correctly & is the way that you are meant to go . The "Squatty Potty" is a good product that is JUST NOW picking up on the health benefits of squatting both for going pee & poo ! Although we have had our own , handmade , wooden step stool type thing for over 18 years before the Squatty Potty came out .... We also use water & soap for cleaning after wards tissue does NOT clean thoroughly - just spreads the filth around & rubs it in . We keep a special water jug by the toilet & have a hose as well to spray clean . We have tissue for guests if they prefer or if people want to dab themselves dry after washing with water .
+erpatitube YES. YES WE DID. But only after it had ruined 2 of his shirts and 3 of mine. Ugggghhhh. Most of my dad's clothes are dark so he never knew about banana sap stains - we only found out about it after my favorite shirt, like, EVER came out of the wash looking like a murder victim. And of course I Google-d it.
If you make coffee in the French press extra strong/concentrated, you can dilute it later with more hot water and get more cups out of it too. That's the joy of a French press. ;)
I wish there was a list of all the food that you guys eat. at time I can't really pick up the name of the dish mentioned. but all of these dishes, the ones cooked at home, and the one mentioned here look so delicious.
I would never have suspected that there was peanut butter (or what looked like it) in that lunch meal you all had and the end product looked nice only thing was it reminded me of a curry which i just never thought was much of a thing in Africa
+Herodanger89 They have a lot of really yummy stews in Ghana (like the groundnut soup/stew we just showed you) - which is something that surprised me too!
I truly enjoy watching your adventures together as a couple. The relationship you 2 share is a perfect wonder.
Thank you :3
Oh my gosh!!! The blue shirt the woman made you was GORGEOUS!!! It suited you well! I hope you kept it.
+1
Peplum shirt right?
yes! the blue peplum sleevless shirt with loads of designs!
+martianmartinis Yeah, that was beautifully tailored! ^^!

Anytime I'm having a bad day I look at your videos and instantly I'm feeling better! Like sunshine in a box! Just love you guys!! :)
This was really interesting! And Ryosuke hijacking the camera for toilet talk was hilarious. XD
heh, when the person walked in on Ryouske in the bathroom, his facial expression of "oh crap", so priceless.
If that's a single stall bathroom, shouldn't it have a latch on the door?
it was a room bathroom, so there was a lock on the door most likely(though some places might not have them) but he probably thought he locked it and didnt.
I wanted him to finish what he was saying!
I think Ryouske can just sense whenever the camera is on ^_^ He makes me laugh!
Haha glad you laughed :D (Ryosuke)
Ryouske cracks me up! It's so nice to see your loving relationship. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
You are both just such naturally beautiful people - in an out! :)
burger?
Awww look at how cute they are together. And I laughed so much at Ryosuke's reaction when another person entered the bathroom.
+Mykal Reynolds I forgot to lock the door! Ahhh!
+Texan in Tokyo Did you have to explain what you were doing in there with the camera? ;)
+Texan in Tokyo That horrified look when the door started to open... XD
"My body, it's awesome!" I need some Ryosuke level confidence too :D
he is the cutest man on the planet!!
14:29, Ryoske hands toddler machete.
it belongs to them lol they were the one that handed him that
If you guys were any cuter my face might melt. I love how even though Ryoske doesn't do PDA you can just see on his face how much he loves you. That kind of love is priceless.

"That's a Ryosuke butt".... bahahahaha!!!!!! you people are the best
I would definitely join the people dancing!!! Can you get Japanese okonomiyaki sauce there?
That shirt you had made was so pretty! How nice, to get custom-made matching clothes!
+xingcat Thank you! I really love it - I've already worn it a couple times in Japan :)
Wow!! Love the handmade top Grace. Beautiful 😀👍🏻
That kid in the Maple Leafs jersey. Be still my Canadian heart
+xdrewbz Hahahaha
It is cool to see that even Ryosuke, the never ending, bubbling vat of consistent energy is even tired in the morning. lol.
That custom made top is beautiful!! Also, loved the matching clothes between you all. Thanks for sharing!
i like how ryosuke seems so mellow when he first wakes up. its like you see his moods from mellow in the morning to having a funky go happy persona in the afternoon :)

4:20 Toronto maple leafs! WOOT!
Aw there's nothing better than coming home and seeing a notification from this channel. I really enjoyed the dances and fashion show!
+Margarita Martinez Thank you!
You guys are so down to earth! Thanks for sharing your adventures in Ghana!
This is so amazing! It is so wonderful you are able to travel around to different countries!!! Thank You sooooo much for sharing videos of your trips with us!!!!
I can't stop laughing at how a girl came into the toilet as Ryoske was screaming hahaha I'm cryinggg
So incredibly cool to see Ghana from these eyes like this!
Thanks for sharing some moments from Ghana! I'm glad you talked about banana trees because I have some and now know what to expect.
I love this video, watching it makes me feel like I'm part of the trip! ^-^
+Philippe Parle Peu Yesssss..... ^^
+Philippe Parle Peu Yay! You got to come to Ghana with us :)
+Texan in Tokyo Yay! \o/

You guys are simply amazing!
Oh my goodness, Ryosuke kills me, he's so funny. I've definitely enjoyed the Ghana videos!!
+YarnOClock Haha good to know :) Thanks
Grace's mom sounded just like Grace when she said "Yay!" 😊
+Judy JR (A suburban mom's life) That wasn't Grace-Mom, that was Ryoske! O_o
+Gary Cone - No, at 10:12 it definitely was Grace's mom. Watch it again.
Judy JR R-ske's lips are definitely the ones moving in sync with the clearly audible "yay". If US-Mom echoed him (I did see lip motion on close review), it's too faint for my audio playback, so I cannot judge likeness to Grace.
+Gary Cone put earbuds in. She is clearly saying "Yay!"
Judy JR _sigh_ just broke my last pair, haven't replaced them yet. I'll take your word for it.
Re-watching through some old videos and holy cow do I miss you guuuuys. ❤
I miss you guys so much. These videos are amazing
What an awesome family! Great video guys! Looks like you're enjoying your time there in Ghana.
One of the little kids who Ryosuke was chopping wood with was wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey. I know they probably don't care about hockey, but the Maple Leafs are the typical underdog team. Omg the lady at 4:30 was Georgeous!!!
Great Video as always!!
That really was a nice holiday for tou guys. Also sometimes I wonder if I overshare on RUclips then Ryosuke tells us he sits down when he pees haha
3:00 I always enjoy the part where people touch the termite mound, handle and then you tell them, "Yes, it's made out of termite feces."
This is probably my favorite day in the life video. The serious conversation about peeing made me laugh so hard that I cried!
I love 'A day in my life' videos and your outfits looked great
+jayisoldem56 Glad you enjoy them!! They are fun to make!!
Omg it'd be amazing to see you guys on Ninja Warrior :O
Just as good as the first Ghana video. Quite a change in enviroment and culture compared to Japan :)
That shirt looked amazing on you! She did an amazing job making it for you
Love, love the clothing that they made during your stay for you guys!
lmao. Grace's face: "D8 What....WHUUUUUUTTTTT..." Hahaha. I love you guys!
You guys are such a beautiful couple it makes me want to cry 😢😄
I stand in the daylight and sit at night (it keeps my feet dryer)
Love that Ryosuke your so cool. thanks for the video it makes the world around us close neighbors.
I can give you 10 thumbs up (i'm all thumbs because of my arthritis)
I love how immediately after Grace said she had stood on one of the hills before Ryosuke started to get on top of it xD
I really like these Ghana videos! I feel like I'm learning a lot haha
Grace, the blue top you got is really gorgeous :)
(And one of the wood-chopping kids had a Toronto Maple Leaf hockey team shirt on!!!)
you guys are AWESOME!!!
+Xiaosong Wei Thank you :)
Love this vid. Good food and family is important.

Who knows)
I know I would cx but you know if you enjoy making them, make them. c:

Wow Grace, that Ghanian blouse is stunning!
'Our son turns 6 this year. What should we get him?'
'It's about time he had his first machete. I had one when I was 3'
Did Ryoske discover the sap or water from the banana plant leaves a stain that is hard to wash from fabric?
+erpatitube YES. YES WE DID.
But only after it had ruined 2 of his shirts and 3 of mine. Ugggghhhh. Most of my dad's clothes are dark so he never knew about banana sap stains - we only found out about it after my favorite shirt, like, EVER came out of the wash looking like a murder victim. And of course I Google-d it.
I have ruined many a shirt with the banana plant in my parents house growing up.😟
lol I love when Ryosuke takes over haha. I think my bf stands and makes a mess most of the time :D
My Aunt from Ghana would make groundnut soup at family reunions.
I just realized ryosuke is really really handsome ! jahahaha (you're really pretty grace🙌 )! loved the vídeo !
+Michelle Pez He IS very handsome~!
If you make coffee in the French press extra strong/concentrated, you can dilute it later with more hot water and get more cups out of it too. That's the joy of a French press. ;)
those African cloth colours are always so nice .
*African prints or material. That's what we call them.
Grace, you looked beautiful in that costume top that was made!
+Helen Yang Thank you :3
+Texan in Tokyo It's a gorgeous top! Looked like a perfect fit, and I loved the little frills and details. :)
😂 Ryosuke asking the guys how they pee ... I can't stop laughing.
+1 for Ryosuke playing with a kendama!
+supersmashsam He's so good at it~
At home you pee siting down, everywhere else you can decide whether to do it or not ~
Sitting is more relaxing though xD
That was awesome❣
The soup LOOKS like it'll taste SOOOO good in rice T^T
My husband is a sitter. He said it is easier and since he is tall there isn't a lot of splash back.
He gave up to be leader in relationship...:p
no one should be "leader" in relationships. both are equal
*****
i dont care,i lead-she has to follow and is happy with it
Don't feed the trolls. :)
yeah, my mistake. but sometimes i just can't help myself and have to say something lol
Haha. Silly Ryosuke! Ghana looks like a cool place. I have known two people from there. I love the accent.
that bathroom interruption was priceless
Omg Ryoske is so funny 😂
+Telma Bryan THANK YOU!
+Texan in Tokyo ur welcome 😊
I wish there was a list of all the food that you guys eat. at time I can't really pick up the name of the dish mentioned. but all of these dishes, the ones cooked at home, and the one mentioned here look so delicious.
yay another video !!!
+Jacob G yay!
Hope that isn't all the footage from your Ghana trip, have really enjoyed watching these, thanks for sharing.
+quigonjay9 We have a bit more! But that's mostly it. We were on vacation so we didn't record very much...
This looked amazing. Have your parent's lived in West Africa for a long time? :)
+Christy Anne Jones On an off for a bit over 10 years now~
I wanna got to Ghana, the country looks adventurous and fun.
ryu-chan he's said it so cute ...but seriously he love everywhere he goes and grace is always so cute and bashful
I would never have suspected that there was peanut butter (or what looked like it) in that lunch meal you all had and the end product looked nice only thing was it reminded me of a curry which i just never thought was much of a thing in Africa
