Here we go up on a flight with Andrew Kiest in his Howard DGA airplane. This was quite an experience. I just love flying in classic planes like this. It sure was fun.
My father had a Beechcraft Staggerwing. I had the opportunity to fly both a Spartan Executive and a Howard DGA15P. All magnificent examples of aeronautic excellence!
The Howard was designed to be the go fast personal transport machine of its day, and I bet when you consider payload and speed it still does pretty good compared to newer machines.
