Glad I found your video. I’ve been wanting to pull the trigger on an iPad to edit my kids picture and this is great! Two questions: what tripod are you using? And when you transfer those pictures, are they raw format?

Hi! What screen protector do you recommend using? I’m thinking of getting a matte one to avoid fingerprints but I think using a matte protector will make the colors seem washed out. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
Hey! The matte (paper like) screen feels nicer but it does dim the colors a little. Try both! And see what you like better. I use just a glass one right now but the fingerprints are crazy....

Instead of using google photos you can just keep them on the Adobe cloud right? What’s the difference?? Can you upload the hi res version on Adobe cloud?

Yeah of course! It’s just hard because you only have a limited storage. You could import - edit - and when it starts filling up delete the older albums
Hi, do you think it is easier to precisely correct photos for example adding bokeh or sharpening using Apple Pencil with iPad than using trackpad on MacBook ? I am shooting wildlife birds photos
It’s the same. Just personal preference. I recommend trying both and see which one you like better

How long does your batter last when editing photos? I just had mine about a week ago, and I noticed the battery drains so quick. In one full charge, it only last 3 hours when using lightroom.
Yeah Lightroom EATS up the battery. I’m not sure how long mine lasts but I have noticed significant drainage when editing photos. I always turn down the brightness of the screen and make sure to exit LR when not using it. If you’re traveling I recommend getting a good battery pack.

After you upload from sd card on ipad and you edit on lightroom can you connect a hard drive to ipad and move the ipad folder with the raw edited file and a folder with the jpeg in order to keep the ipad clean and and light? (hope it makes sense, I never used lightroom I use capture one but they don't have an ipad version)

Obviously it’s possible but only with ipad pro 2018 and 2020. The other version with lighting port don’t have the power delivery to boot up most of the hdd
You can use the old iPad with an SSD or HD if you use a powered hub.
@@denyxrunner couldn't find a way to do it, it looks like the only way is :
1- Sd card --> iPad
2- Load and edit in lightroom
3- When you have wifi available everything goes to the cloud, the raw and the edit you made on it
4- when you connect your computer to the wifi you will receive the raw and edits you made.
5- the smart thing to do now is to delete the picture from iPad and from the cloud so you save space on both (unless you want a backup of your hard drive on the cloud, if you can afford it)
6- create a collection in lightroom on your computer with the picture you want available on iPad and sync it. (the picture you'll have on ipad now are a preview, good enough to edit but doesn't take any space on the cloud and very little on your iPad)

I would get a Sony a7II on eBay for cheap. I think the perfect starter camera is Sony a6000 but that’s apc

The EOS RP is a descent one too thats full frame and cheap but the Sony a6000 series is pretty good too even though its apc.
