My favorit Atari game right here. I remember rushing my opponent t the start of the bell. LOL I'd have a knockout in like the 1st 20 seconds of the first round.
Fact: It would take far less effort to actually have a fight, than to play this. The frenzy to recover from a knockdown was insane! The joysticks used to be nearly on fire after a couple of rounds.
Why, back in my day we didn't have no Atari, we played Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. And then we hiked uphill both ways in the snow to the bowling alley to play Pong. And we thought we were cutting edge!
@psyjax This game was one of the late era games published by Atari corp. There was no other boxing game published by Atari. I'm guessing you mean Activision's Boxing (which was not licensed by Atari)?
I had this bad boy my mate from a local farm kept shouting chicken every time I backed off, my mum was laughing her head off in the kitchen 😂 chick en!!!!
As a kid I always played this game while listening to the soundtrack of Rocky III

"Did anyone get the license plate number of that steamroller?"
Released in 1987, this game uses 16K ROM, allowing eight times as much code and data as the original Atari VCS cartridges did.
WOW man i had this game when i was about 10 years old, awesome, great times i had.
This game might as well have been "fight night" 2010 back then. I didnt think graphics could get any better!
When knocked down, they look like they've been literally streamrolled :))
Impressive ass game for 2600.. didn't know this was possible.
