The RC Company that shows their fans how much they care about them. From the unbelievable sales on their awesome vehicles, but to do this two day festival for their fans was just unbelievable.
2023 was definitely a step up!!! I had an amazing time. Thanks Horizon Hobby for continuing to promote and grow the RC hobby! Hat’s off to you my friends, see you next year!!!
Yeah I’ve been waiting awhile for a rc car I ordered from them. Until they get their shipping fixed I will be not be purchasing anything else from them.
I got into this hobby with my son and hit the ground running. Purchased the 2s infraction, 2s Buggy, 3s Buggy, multiple 3s Vorteks (my favorite), even the 6s Fireteam. I enjoyed it endlessly for a few months and suddenly the thousands of dollars on batteries I spent all became worthless, and with them my growing developing passion ended. I purchased mostly the G2 Smart batteries thinking that would be the best way to avoid issues, but surprisingly this was not the case. Now its been almost a year and I haven't touched any of them. I'm not sure if the charger destroyed the batteries, but I learned real fast that this is a hobby where you can buy the best, take great care of all the devices involved and still end up in a very frustrating stressful position that takes all the fun away :(
They’re getting away from planes that’s for sure. Seem to be focusing on cars/ trucks. Sad. I had a hotel booked and everything to fly. Then they canceled open flying.
So how was this publicized? I would have loved to have been there and knew zero about it and I work in the industry. Looks fun, you would have more people go if you did a better job of letting everyone know it was happeneing.
Sharing posts (borderline spamming 😅) beginning months prior. Paid media around the event location. News. Radio. TV. Billboards. Can’t just show up to your house and knock on the door unfortunately. I asked 😫😁
Horizon hobbies needs more of this. Axial fest has nothing on this event. If horizon hobbies was to do this event on the West coast and the East Coast axial fest wouldn't stand a chance. Besides axial fest west sucks up at Rob's resort. Cisco grove or Donner summit ski ranch was the best. A lot of people invest into the RC hobby. Why not have more family friendly events like this one that gets the whole family involved. Looking forward to going to horizon hobby fest 24.
I understand the air side of your business is more popular/profitable that the land side, but I'm urprised you didn't really cover the off-road racing at all. I've also always been surprised that Horizon doesn't support or advertise the 1/8 and 1/5 off-road racing events put on throughout the year at Eli Field. Why are they never on the events calendar? It's no wonder attendance has been going down for years. Seems silly to NOT support local events for the products you sell!
