Fascinating Gordon, awesome vid. There was a massive cell which stalled over Oldham/Stalybridge bringing flash floods which temporarily closed the M62 and the Stanedge route on the rail network. Sadly, it lacked the energy to climb the hill to me in Huddersfield so I missed out again. Thanks for using my stills. 👍
this storm was incredible mate, had a lightning strike about 150 yards from us the thunder virtually shook the whole house from Birmingham, West Midlands
If only more people looked up more often. The things people miss eh. My dad always said "get your head out of the clouds". But I said "no", I like it up here. 😁
Hi Gordon, I have footage from the midlands storm incoming and overhead yesterday, including some lightning pictures from that and also Saturdays storm.
I live in Crewe, Cheshire and got 6 storms within the span of just 5 days during this thundery period, this includes 2 occasions where I got hit with 2 violent storms within the same day. Was absolutely astonishing though, the violence and the frequency just blew my mind
Had a lovely thunderstorm in the southeast today. Plenty of bolts and lots of crackling thunder every minute. Tons of rain fell too. Think we brewed the storms in the southeast/London area and have sent them up to the midlands again where they are now
Very interesting. I shall keep an eye on the sky and obviously an eye on your channels. It’s so cool to have creators like yourself to shine a light on what we take for granted.

Norwich based and cover east anglia down to London and west to midlands. Maybe face book could be a bigger link on chase nights . Sharing info across the country. More vids bro .Happy chasing
Hi Gordon great shots of that Lightning, but how come most of the thunderstorms weve had during the past few days have had no wind or breeze that usually accompanies these storms? more thunderstorms are forecast for the north west from next Wednesday or Thursday for 3 days on the bounce again
I presume you've got the 'blitzortung lightning monitor' app on your phone.? But if you use a laptop, it makes a little tap noise, barely a few seconds after the actual strike. You've got world options, and EU, or just UK. I use this on the laptop, and a radar like on your phone, on my older smartphone, then 'lightning camera' on my actual smartphone. Thank the lord for 'tech' eh.! I get as excited as you do😂😂 Great isn't it😁🐰😁🐰😁🐰⚡
Strange really that we get tornadoes but not like in the USA. But we mostly get lightning, thunder, heavy rain and some hail. Have had some in Essex but mainly the thunderstorms have been across North Essex (Chelmsford, Stansted Airport and Braintree) and West Anglia (Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire & parts of Norfolk, Rutland and Northamptonshire). Plus people say that thunder isn’t dangerous than lightning which is just a acoustic sound from a thunderstorm or thundery showers.
Hi I follow storms I love them I got this app on my phone I follow it tells you how far the storms are and sends you lightning alerts to take cover it works really good never wrong it’s called (weatherBug ) just wondered if you fancy having a look
I live on the moors in Devon we had 3 storms and they where big never in my life time do we get storms like we did it was scary for me, keep the videos comng please

I use Blitzortung for both, but if I'm out travelling or just can't get my laptop on me I'd use my phone for it despite me trusting it less
