@elindigeno1215 He’s an airman in the Air Force, not a soldier. The army would not allow their soldiers to be as hemmed up as he was.

Why are the vehicles left hand drive? They're driving on UK roads at raf Lakenheath. Just an observation not having a go 👍

I have deep gratitude and respect for those serving, but I wish somebody told me a few things before joining Security Forces. The Asvab score needed for Security Guard Forces is the lowest in the military and ties with being a cook. It's where they dump people who flunk other tech schools. It's comparison to police work is similar to being a school crossing guard. You'll work 12-hour tours for the same pay as everyone else working 8 hrs. Working nights and holidays makes it difficult to attend college or to use the gym to prepare for PT tests. The USAF is big on volunteering. This helps with promotion. Imagine volunteering at a church following a midnight tour, knowing you have to work another midnight hours later.
Checking ID cards at gates or guarding parked aircraft is not police work. Guards work gates for $10.00 an hour at my condo. A beret is the symbol of excellence. Guarding missiles which have never moved isn't going beyond the call of duty. I worked K9 for 4 years. Much of it was walking around fences in arctic-cold weather and waiting for the truck to drop off box lunches. This guard job was painfully boring. It's the worst job in the Air Force. I never made an arrest or seen one made. S/F never helped me get appointed to a city PD. Other branches never took us seriously.
