My fear is that people think this needs to sell 10M copies or something because FROM is now a major developer, and since it won't it will be considered "a flop". We need to have reasonable expectations for AC6, this will never be a Souls / Elden Ring level seller. I'll be happy with a good game that sells enough for them to keep doing it every 3-4 years or so.
11:40 was the most mecha anime thing ever. Music intensifies, staggering of the foe, mad dash through enemy fire while attacking just for a massive retaliation after. Just Beautiful.

@@ChuuniKaedet's definitely slower than AC:4 and For Answer but it's actually pretty much the same pace as the older titles. For newcomers: Legs are one of the most important parts of your mech, because they determine how much weight your vehicle can carry. Your power engine / energy source is on other one as it modifies the amount of energy available, as well as how slow or fast your energy bar will recharge.
I recall my overall strategy for a new draft was select leg type based off the idea of what you want. Next select core, arms, head based on the weight capacity of legs. Then the thrusters, and power source to supply demand to the build. But this is the critical junction. If your energy demand is too high, you can see it clearly now. Do a sweep and trim what you need to make it work. Remember to leave room if your using energy based weapons. In the old playstation games running temp was a factor too and you needed a cooling unit. Made napalm and flamethrowers extra spicy.
This game is something else. They've managed to reimagine the concept of an AC game, yet they kept its core gameplay loop intact. The UI and resource management are modernized, this is how first-third gen. AC game should look like in modern time. And yet, It fully uses the 3D space for gameplay, just like fourth gen. does, and it implements dodge mechanics from this gen as well, which is a welcome addition. Some enemies are complete jank, but that's a good thing for me, because janky NPC's are the essence of Armored Core. The only downside as far as I can see is the fact that we have a callsign of some furry website, but that's ok - it's a small price to pay for a new Armored Core game.
As someone that is completely new to the AC series. Armored core 6 is scratching an itch I never knew existed. This looks insanely good. From the heavy machinery and fire power, to the dystopian story and the deep cold voice of your handler. Not even mentioning the insane sound design. I think we got another game of the year from Fromsoftware
I’m new into it too!!! At least, I don’t remember ever played one of the titles, but deep on my thoughts I have like some memories of it for some reason!!! Well, it doesn’t matter!!! This game looks fire!!! I freaking love it already!!! Happy that a lot of us will be having a blast soon!!! 💪🏾
i also hope it makes the mech genre less niche. good mech games don't come often either. only titanfall was awesome enough but seems to have been appreciated by small percentage. gundam evolution is a hidden gem of pvp.. only the king reclaiming the throne
3.6 million views and counting. This is suddenly becoming one of the most anticipated games of 2023 if RUclips views are any indication, wow! The best part is, you know FromSoftware want to make this game, and they're going to deliver the product they want to make. If they were doing this for the money, they'd have had this team making Sekiro 2 instead. The highest-selling Armored Core only sold about one-fortieth as much as Elden Ring, so they aren't making this for the money or the fame.
As someone who just recently got into the franchise it’s amazing seeing all the hype for ac6. From what I can tell armored core has always been a fairly successful but relatively niche series yet now due to the spotlight on Fromsoft post-elden ring ac6 has become one of the most hyped up games of the year. Really hoping this game gets the ac3 treatment and has a ton of sequels/spin-offs in the near future!!
Ive been a fan of this franchise since 1997. I started this franchise at the age of 5. This has to be the best news I have heard in 10 years+. This is everything I have asked for and then some.
I still can't get over how good the sound desgin is, both in terms of sounding good, but giving extremely valuable feedback and queues thru audio. Haven't seen it done this well since Doom Eternal. This continues to be my most anticipated game of the year. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
@@santiagomoralesgarcia1802 Well yeah, that's definitely a given. I can still hear the stagger break sound and Larry sound in my dreams lol. I just used Doom Eternal because it's a slightly more recent game than Sekiro. Plus I felt saying Sekiro would be cheating a little considering the lead game designer of Sekiro is the same person directing Armored Core 6. It does really show the sheer talent at From Software and the good direction of someone like Masaru Yamamura and Hidetaka Miyazaki.
Frictional games are also masters of audio design. It's imo even more impressive since it's an indie team and audio is mostly done by one super talented guy called miko tarmia

@@LatencyProblem Where you get this info because as far as I've heard since the Armored Core hype train has started and from several RUclipsrs along with there interviews that there will be no campaign coop.

At that point they should just make entirely different game. Front Mission just stay and evolve the tactical mecha battle because it's the game main identity. Final Fantasy is a special case as Square Enix used it as nostalgia bait to raise sales number. And as we can see, the experimental nature of FF make the quality of each games varies from masterpiece to utter garbage. Now I'm worried if this game became critically acclaimed as SoulBorne game, because I can already see Square Enix jump in with the mecha hype train and create another 'soulless' continuation of Front Mission IP.

I played two of them, as a casual who thinks mechs are awesome. This one looks far more accessible to new players so I'm very excited. Looks like you can get as involved in the details as much as you want, or just play casually
by the looks of it this is porpably gonna be the best choice as the games are not related to each other and story is made up stuff on the go that doesnt matter. 1 has the best missions and music but its ancient and take place mostly underwound, 2 is the only that takes place in another planet that is not earth but i did not like the music it was painfullly annoying glitchfest and i did not like the missions or the story or how the weapons and the mechs do, this game seems to do the same thing but much better. 3 is set on earth and has similar gameplay and mech designs but its on ps2 so it does not have open maps, 2 and 3 are very similar and the rest on the ps2 are harder versions of the previous games like the last raven and mission packs that suck. 4 and for answer which is like a standalone expansion are like this but faster you can fly around at really high speeds and dodge attacks the mp matches are insane, but he old fans hated that its so fast so they slowed it down, then you got 5 that has a post apocalyptic setting so mechs are large slow tanks with crap wielded on them and its focused on mp with little sp content. This is the compromise between all games to satisfy everyone i guess and it looks better and controls better than the previous game with good combat mechanics, i wish it was faster and had techno music like the first music, also color your mechs damn it.

Nostalgia definitely gonna hit hard for those of us who played the original series. I just wish coop was added so we can experience this new Armored Core with a friend.
I like that the different AC content creators offer a variety of insight according to their experience with the franchise: - Fightin Cowboy, Alanah Pearce and Mrhappy1227 (among others) are the experienced veterans providing the most technical details and making the fair comparissons between AC6 and other title from the series and the studio. - Vaati Vidya and Writing on Games, while not old fans, have played all the games recently so their analysis is focused on the narrative themes of AC6 and providing several tips for those who are used to FromSoftware titles and / or other interactive experiences that involve mechs. - Iron Pinneaple others who have prefered going into AC6 blindly without any previous experience center their content on the controls, what does it feel to pilot a core for the first time and a guide for newcomers so that they do not get overwhelmed by the customization options. All of them have conicided on one thing: AC6 is probably one of the most ambicious AAA mech game of the last 10 years.
@@Steak818why not lol? Something like coop is totally optional, you sound like adding this to the game would hurt you, there already is some sort of multiplayer mode in the game
@@daethmer7834 Yes, coop mode takes time and money to implement, time and money that should be better spend in making the main mode better. I absolutely love how you can hear the enemy pilots talk to each other. Hearing their reactions to you I think really helps sell the fantasy of being an ace mech pilot. Of course, alongside the insanely smooth looking controls and schmoovement. I have zero knowledge of the other AC games so what I was hoping for was ace combat with mechs and it seems thats what I'm gonna get which is so exciting. (Not trying to say that either is ripping the other off. Just commenting on the vibes of the game.)
Old games in AC were the same, you'd get a similar on par experience, just a harder time in mech combat probably. I do wonder how long time players will adjust to this and if there's anything to dislike about it.
That's a great mindset because I've played most if not all of the previous armored cores and this one definitely looks like the most polished. Just don't think it's going to be easy, I don't think it'll be as hard as some other games out there but it's not going to be a cakewalk so as long as you take it serious I don't see any reason why you would not be making a great decision playing it

When they said they were going to take everything they learned from all the SoulsBornes and Armored Core games and pour it into this game.... I didn't think they meant EVERYTHING. I think it's because everything that people love about the Souls games stems from this series: the deep lore, the presentation, the challenge, and the meaningful customization aren't just Soulslike, they're FromSoft staples. It's very unorthodox for a niche franchise to have this big of a budget this big of a fanbase being introduced to it all at once. Welcome to the Armored Core fandom!

The same one that failed to make their own game popular. Let us rejoice at what we see. Those who failed on their own and then failed Fromsoft by trying to make the same failed idea succeed on a better IP are no longer here to pollute AC. We're back to pure form baby!

For anyone wondering: - yes there will be PvP, but only an arena mode with up to 3v3 matches. No souls-style invasions. - there is no co-op. those were AI companions given for the mission. - this is not open world, just missions in really big levels. - you play as a mercenary doing jobs for the highest bidder and those bidders are usually warring corporations, so you'll be doing some morally questionable stuff. - Manual aiming is in the game but you have to unlock it, the auto aim is there because the game is so fast paced. Not everyone can do that twitch shooter stuff. - there is no debt mechanic. - The repair kits are there because the missions are much larger now and going through those with no way to replenish ammo or health would be a nightmare. - this game has souls-like elements but would not classify as being souls-like. - elden ring dlc is coming, a separate team is working on it and its taking long because they decided to just lump all the dlc into once big expansion kinda like monster hunter world's iceborne dlc.

Just Beautiful.
the baltelus boss is the real highlight for me. The music, the missile rain, the flame thrower attacks, the aggressive yet purposeful movements from the boss and the player. I am a big mecha fan myself, and I feel that the mecha anime fights have never looked this good…

@@larrymunn5279 Good advice!

FACTS
In the old armored core game, I used to sacrifice so much efficiency to equip the spider legs because I loved the aesthetic. 😂

The best part is, you know FromSoftware want to make this game, and they're going to deliver the product they want to make. Been playing them since the ps1 and ps2 era I promise you won’t be disappointed
by the looks of it this is porpably gonna be the best choice as the games are not related to each other and story is made up stuff on the go that doesnt matter.

- Fightin Cowboy, Alanah Pearce and Mrhappy1227 (among others) are the experienced veterans providing the most technical details and making the fair comparissons between AC6 and other title from the series and the studio.

You can see all of it here! I didn't even think they could ever make an AC game this fluid! They even took Aspects of ACV and made them work. I can't wait until this game comes out! And I'm going to love every second of it.
Before Souls like Dark Souls was AC like. 😎
People didn't want to play AC cause it was way too hard and evil. I would say even more evil than Dark Souls, because its true to life evil, gray evil. Not dark and light evil.
Now Fromsoft can finally go back to their cream de la creme and bring their following to make the genre new standard in gaming history 🎉🌶️
I am SO HYPED for this!! This has been my favorite series for years (Started with AC2) and it has never looked more beautiful. This game looks like a love child between AC3 and AC4. PERFECTION!!
This is going to be EPIC! Hope everyone enjoys!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh hey it's Voyager's Revenge! Looking forward to some badass combat videos once this is out lol
Whoa you’re an armored core fan I didn’t know you were a man of culture
Super EPIC lol. Just needs coop to be ultra EPIC!
@@iampain5737 I know right this game definitely should have co op
That last fight looks so epic. Soundtrack is amazing.
I have the fix for you. Front Line Assembly's "Airmech" album.
I never played any armored cores but I will definitely give this one a shot after watching this. Looks amazing
This is really my first AC game. The only other one I played was one I had in a demo disc for PS1. I can’t wait to jump into this
Omg PS1 demo disks...back when game disks were black and the PS1 was just the PSX...
Man those demo disks were something else. Really hyped you up for games. Also I remember that exact demo disk that had AC1 on it. It also had Parappa the Rapper on it!
Makes me wish more companies released demos compilations. Good times
@@oriandthesleepytime Same man, same. It’s all I really had in terms of games back then. I would barely get the full game for any game, so I would just play the demos nonstop
@@_sir_reginald It had Parappa, there was a demo for a game called Pandemonium, there was a Rayman demo, a twisted metal demo, a MGS1 demo, Syphon Filter. There were just so many.
Ah, Interactive 5. I only have Interactive 6.
same I think
How can I have never played an armored core title yet feel this is the most anticipation for a game I’ve ever personally experienced in my life
( edit ) I forgot I don’t even have a way to play this but I want to grab a pc console or steam deck before it drops can’t decide on which to choose
every man has soft spot for robot go brrr boomm
I think it's because everything that people love about the Souls games stems from this series: the deep lore, the presentation, the challenge, and the meaningful customization aren't just Soulslike, they're FromSoft staples. It's very unorthodox for a niche franchise to have this big of a budget this big of a fanbase being introduced to it all at once.
Welcome to the Armored Core fandom!
We have cookies... and donuts, and mechs that go BRRRRRRRT!!!!
I'm just excited to finally play something outside of the souls genera developed by what i consider to be the best AAA studio in the business.
I remember reading about it in magazines and thinking it looked cool, but never played it. This is our chance.
The feel and vibe of this game's environment gives me goosebumps
the music around @8:45 is so ridiculously hardcore it just instantly gives me adrenaline
Probably the best Armored Core from this franchise and I will be playing it all year 😎😁
True I'd be streamlined with modern game design as the predescessor was a masocore.
I highly doubt you'll be playing it all year. It's physically impossible. You have to eat and sleep.
meh, gfx look last gen and the gameplay looks repetative af
@@jimmyhackers8980 You are smoking something fierce
@@jimmyhackers8980 Graphics BAD?! Game only good when GRAPHICS GOOD ! ! ! Gamer SMASH ! ! !
I am beyond hype at this point. I cannot wait for this game to come out. It looks stunning
The music gives strong old days armored core feels
Soundtracks gonna be absolute bop it seems like❤
Same. It's been so long since we got an Armored Core game, and the closer we get to launch and the more videos they release, the happier I am I took time off work for this.
I still replay AC3, Silent Line, and AC4 at least once a year and I feel like this is gonna get added to that list.
My hype would be through the moon if coop was a thing lol
@iampain5737 I may still happen eventually. Seems like they can implement it easily
Feel like Ace Combat with mechs, I love it.
It's Ace Combat if the writing didn't feel like nails on a chalkboard.
Giant megabosses included!
@@TheMaestro116so you have chosen the Belkan Side, huh?
I was getting Ace Combat vibes too, glad to see I’m not the only one
@@TheMaestro116 I personally love all the radio chatter from the Ace Combat games, I'm getting serious "Shoot down that ribbon fighter" and "Concentrate all fire on Three Strikes" vibes from this dialog. Been a fan of both of these series since I picked up Armored Core from Blockbuster in 97'.
“Why don’t you start a sowing club together, and Stitch that damn mouth of yours shut!”
That is the best thing I’ve ever heard this year
The fact Fromsoftware Games is probably making some other unseen masterpiece plus this one simultaneously is unbelievable, though not uncommon for Fromsoftware Games. Still, the fact they're mostly my "game of the year"/favourite games is uncommon. Seriously, there's only 294ish people making Armoured Core Fires Of Rubicon/Elden Ring.
Spellbound is their next game (magics based rpg) (from leaks)
Sekiro and Elden Ring were made simultaneously!
They had an interview after Elden Ring released that they were working on two unannounced games, and this is one of em. When I saw that interview I was adamant that Armored Core was one of em and I freaking called it lol
@@luked6753 Ds2/Bloodborne too. Plus Ds3's latter half/Dlcs and the former half of Elden Ring too.
You guys have no idea how relieved I am this looks like a real Armored Core and not a Dark Souls with mechas.
YES. As much as I love the Souls games, AC is its own thing and I'm so glad they gave it the attention it deserves.
Since I’ have never played an AC game does really look like it’s. Kept its roots ?
@@slurmsmckenzie. kind of.
@@slurmsmckenzie. I'm very happy with how it looks as someone who's been a huge fan and played every single Armored Core since the first. It definitely has a bit faster paced but similar combat with bigger boss battles. Looks like they kept the soul of the series and expanded on it in cool and interesting ways.
Yes I hate dark souls even tho I know ppl love them
We've slept a long time. Time to fly, Ravens.
在這個世代還能看到舊作發光....從小追到大的九號球...真的非常感動..看看那些名作沒落.沒有靈魂、不斷賣情懷,機戰傭兵是少數冷門還能堅持下去的ip...燃燒吧!水沒的王子!!!

Yes!!!!!
From software and Larian studios are the last dev teams that fully have my trust. I know they will not disappoint me and I will pay full price to support them every time
haha, larian…
None of this stuff is anywhere close to being on the level of something like Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
@@graalcloud You're right, when looking at the graphical fidelity and high resolutions and framerates, this stuff is lightyears ahead of Zelda.
You can trust fromsoft to keep making
outdated games that look like they belong on the ps3 lol
@@d0akickflipjust like how elden turd was polished i mean broken on pc lol
Super excited for this, it's my most anticipated game. From Software never disappoints.
i hope they don't
Dark Souls 2. I'm sorry I had to.
@@aydennuula979even that wasn't an awful game, just not a good souls game

I want the guy narrating this to be in the game, such a smooth yet cool voice
The last installment that I played was AC3. The hype for this is unreal. They kept the AC feel to it while modernizing it. Bless you FromSoftware for rebooting this beloved franchise. Good time to be alive!
There is no reboot here? Just another game my dude. This isn't Armored Core: Redux. This is Armored Core SIX.
the first game I bought for PS1 back in 1997 was Armored Core 1 and was hooked on the series. Feels like we've come full circle with this one, can't wait to play this!
This looks extremely awesome. I'm so excited to give this a spin. Been a hot minute since I played an Armored Core game.
This will be my first Armored Core, I'm so stoked for this!
ok
Welcome to the War
After V I'd lost all hope, but VI... It looks amazing.
I too lost hope and because of this, I'm a little skeptical, BUT I am also trying to be an optimist too considering it has been 10 years for me
V was done by a company completely separate from the standard Armored Core Fromsoft team. It was the same company that made the failed Mecha MMOlyte for 360: Chromehounds. They thought to do a form of Armored Core that "went back to the basics of the original Armored Core" while trying to make AC's factional warfare a global PVP gimmick.
The same one that failed to make their own game popular.
Let us rejoice at what we see. Those who failed on their own and then failed Fromsoft by trying to make the same failed idea succeed on a better IP are no longer here to pollute AC. We're back to pure form baby!
i actually enjoyed V. the clunky heavy small mechas with a focus of utilising environment was fun compared to 4answer ace combat. this one looks like a mix of both
Omg V was absolute trash but no offense to the .001% that liked it 😂
@@conormccue2871 Chromehounds felt more like a cross-between MechWarrior and AC. It wasn't that bad. But this reminded me of Steel Battalion, god I want another.
For anyone wondering:
- yes there will be PvP, but only an arena mode with up to 3v3 matches.
There is two forms of auto aim btw, hard and soft lock on
