I’m knitting on sleeve number 1 of my own Norma sweater in very similar colours to your own. Can’t wait to finish, block, and wear this cosy hug of a sweater ❤
I knitted the cumulus blouse as my first sweater and it went by soooo quickly, it's a really fun knit. I really love the blue you chose for it and can't wait to see it finished !
Hi, I just discovered your podcast. I saw you taking part in Book Club Cardigan KAL. I am also planning to cast on and thought to share my plans for the budget yarn. I am going to use Drops Nord held double. It is 4ply but quite thick. I love how it feels because of the alpaca content. At the moment it is also on sale, so it works out really a bargain. 😊 I am looking forward to this project 😊 happy knitting ❤
Hi ♥️ thanks for the suggestion, I'm writing it down for the future, I actually have the yarn now for the Cardigan (which didn't end up being a Drops yarn, but I'll definitely try it for a future project!) So happy you're casting on the Book Club Cardigan too, come join us on Instagram if you have an account 🥰 happy knitting!
For the tight neck, I usually only stitch down every other stitch on a folded collar. So if I am binding off to the pickup stitches, I pick up one and bind off, then skip one and bind off a stitch, then pick up the next stitch to bind off with. Does that make sense? Just keep skipping over a stitch when you bind off. I would recommend redoing the bind off because that neck is going to drive you crazy! It looks great though.
Thank you so much ❤️, I'll definitely try that then! If I can get the courage to undo my bind-off and re-do it (which I'm sure I will, considering how tight it is haha) I'll try that on my Alder
I’ve also just finished my Norma sweater and I had exactly the same remarks as you! My neck must be a bit too short as the collar hits too far up so I’ve been folding it too but I still love it overall. Still need to wet block it as have only steamed it so far. I feel like we’ve had a very similar process 😂
Haha I love that!! Yeah I don't know why we didn't think of the fact that our necks may not be the same size as hers 😂 I'm weaving in my ends as I'm writing this so I can block this in the afternoon 🥰
For drops yarn, Karisma wasn’t my favourite, the fabric feels alright but stretched so much after blocking the project was unusable! I would highly recommend Lima, Daisy or Soft Tweed though. Great podcast, thank you for sharing!
hi ! I’m knitting the norma sweater and I have a quick question. I just separated the arms from the body and it says sl1 purlwise after M1 and M2. is this necessary? I feel like it’s messing up my rows. thanks for your advice
Hiya! It is necessary only if you want the same look as the finished object, she does that to have a certain look on the sides of the sweater, which I show more clearly in my Norma Sweater vlog (I show it at around the 7:50 mark), but if you don't love it I'm sure you could just forgo it and it'd look fine :)
I’m sorry about that 😔 still trying to understand my mike and how I can make the sound better for RUclips, I’ll definitely work on it more and might invest in another microphone! Thanks for the feedback ♥️
I'm so looking forward to Book Club cardigan too. As soon as I saw it I fell in love. Excited to see how both of yours turns out :D
If you want to cast it on soon, maybe we could do a small KAL together? 👀 it's such a stunning piece!
@@nestledinknits omg yes please!!! (Shall message you)

I’m working on sleeves for my Brooklyn Raglan Lite (by Tori Yu) short sleeve sweater. Almost done!!
That’s a lovely pattern, so exciting!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll see if those other yarns work for the pattern ☺️☺️
Thank you ♥️
Hello! I am also currently knitting the Moon Set Tee in light beige color ☺
