especially faux pockets & belt loops... it reminds me of jeggings. & for some reason, it reminds me of marble-print bedding... i'm in the camp of "if it's not the actual thing, i don't want it". there are plenty of comfy & stylish shorts that aren't pretending to be something they're not

I agree, pockets are a non negotiable for me.
Not my cup o'tea. If it looks like denim, I want it to be the real thing, my 15 year old Levis is pretty comfortable. If you like to wear these, try a different style 😊

I have the Miramar joggers and even though they're not the most flattering, I LOVE THEM. I love making the TSA screeners go crazy tying to find the rivets😂😂

Very interesting! The thing I cannot get past is the side pockets. It looks odd to have hands in those side seam pockets with the faux-printed pockets on the front.

Well if they are cooler … go for those inna heatwawe and otherwise real denim …. As the doing something for ya…I’d say they look ok+ comfort important … if you want something extra looking, not it.
The shorts look great on you. Loving the distressed look lately myself. (My favorite maker is Biek Verstappen). I’m sure I would love the comfort as well but not sure about the fake pockets. Wish the Rag and Bone just placed real ones. It’s difficult for me to be comfortable with pants without pockets. But then again if I love all the other features, I would probably keep them.

I'm not sure about the crotch. It looks ok when you are posing and still, but they kind of bunched up in a weird way the few times I saw you move. If they didn't do that, I might say yes. But no pockets?! F*** that!
It think they look good. I stay away from denim now after realising a couple of years ago that one pair of denim trousers need 10,000litres of water to be made. I'm not sure if it has improved or not, but that put me off completely. So anything alternative which could be less harmful to the planet is worth trying.

Stick to real denim. The way they hang / fabric weight is what misses the mark for me.
You look as good in them as anyone can, but they still do nothing for you. I prefer real denim.
I think they look great on you, Emily. The main thing that guides my purchasing is sustainability including what it’s made of where it’s made & how sustainable is the company and how they pay/ treat their employees and shipping, and packaging. I always start with Thrifting treasures first.
