The peak of Valve follow by Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2. Afterwards, they don't develop games like this anymore. Also, great upload Pastime. Looking forward next one.
Consider checking out Entropy : Zero 2, maybe after Portal 1&2 (Maybe Entropy Zero 1 as well, but mainly for completeness sake, EZ2 is the one worth checking out)
I feel like you are missing the point of "Episodic Content". These games were meant to be 3-5 hours long so that the story could be moved forward without the fan base having to wait for another 12 years. Valve, clearly, dropped that model in the end, but alas. These episodes weren't full price games either, coming in at around 30 EUR/USD at the time.
To be continued... ⏳😮💨 If Valve can't be bothered to finish the story I wish they'd at least let someone else do it for 'em. Maybe Crowbar Collective?
I _HAVE_ BEEN WARNED.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
@@ChristopherPreece1999 YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
This was the first time i cried over a videogame. OMG that ending...
Me too man... me too.
Till they changed that at 2020 VR Alyx game.
@mr.pointman1930 it doesn't matter, it won't erase what i felt back then...
The main highlight in ep02 is the larger amount of physics interactive objects. They really revamped how destruction works
Best Chapter of this episode, The Vortal Coil. Where defending wounded Alyx by fought alongside with Vortigaunt for the final assault.
There is a good reason why so many games have a dedicated grenade button, as illustrated in this video.

Episode 2 is by far my favorite. I like it even more than the main campaign. I love the variety of locations and enemies. But god damn that ending!
The ending made me cry as a kid. Many years later, now I feel weird after HL:Alyx came out, but very intrigued.
Surely I'm not the only one who noticed the one who recorded the footage uses Q and E instead of A and D for left and right, right?
First played HL1, E1, and E2 on the Orange Box. The Xbox 360 version.

No one else upset that we never got a conclusion, or a Half-Life 3?
To be continued... ⏳😮💨

Can you do a review of Kingdom Hearts 2 and 3??
#HalfLife3Confirmed 😃
Why are so many channels reviewing this 20 year old game in late 2024/early 2025 ??
Why not?
Because is a really good game.
The game had its 20th anniversary 2 months ago
Nostalgia?
Because old games are much better and more interesting than these current games, generic, boring and full of bugs
Never cared much for HL2. It was bland and boring to me. Nothing spectacular. But Episodes, those I liked a lot.
