I Drove Through the Agave fields of Tequila Jalisco! (Ep 17)

- Motorcycling through all of Mexico continues. Jalisco continues to blow my mind! Its beauty is incredibly unique. The blue agave that scatters the state is something I've never seen before. The color is just simply something I feel like you don't see in nature very often. I left Tequila and Davids place and made my way to Tepic Nayarit. In the beginning of the day it was just Agave fields and then turned to aggressive mountains to then sugar fields as we entered Nayarit. I stayed the night in a vacant house that was owned by some guys who were kind enough to help me out on my journey.

Beautiful, I am from Guadalajara, Jalisco. This tequila making process has been passed down through many generations. You can take a real cool tour from my city to tequila for about 100 bucks. They explain everything and you can try tequila 😋
Yeah I stayed in Guadalajara for close to a month! I loved it! Its a great city. Just seeing all the Agave was just so impressive. What a cool place to be from!
i love my state of jalisco. the road you took before to the offroad. leads you to hostotipaquillo. that place has de biggest motorcycle concentration in mexico. and theres alot of places with great views around that area. same thing goes in nayarit. be safe. dont ride in night time and enjoy.

That means a lot to hear Thomas! Just trying to document this so my kids can see it one day, and also kinda as a journal for me. Im not perfect by any means, but If I can, I would like to publicly show my gratitude for God, and to the best of my ability, just be someone that would talk about Jesus in public. @@LandonBishoff No, I actually served in Southern Argentina (The Patigonia) . But the buildings, people and scenery are so similar to that of Argentina.

I rode a train through the agave fields of Tequila in 1990. The run from Guadalajara to Mexico City was called the Tapatio. I'm sure that riding a bike is more fun though.

@@LandonBishoff Hi mate. Howsit? That was an epic train ride. I rode the Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México as far as it went at the time, to Oaxaca. I bought a second class ticket at the US Mex border. That was a ticket to an adventure. After riding for a short time the train stopped and unhitched the first class cars. No doubt they made it to Mexico City in a day. My train, the locals called, 'El Burro'. It took me 2 1/2 days. I was the only gringo onboard. No lights at night. Broken windows. The train line hugged the coast and stopped often. At every stop peddlers of food and medicinal cures would board, hoping to earn some money. All of The folks were very kind to me. Although everyone was watching me. "What's this crazy Gringo doing here?'

@@LandonBishoff I don't know the status of the Mexican trains now. At the time the end of the line was Oaxaca. Once I arrived in Oaxaca I found that I had to wait until the next day to catch a bus. I was alone and feeling vulnerable. It seemed unwise to fall asleep in a corner of the bus station. So, I asked a group of Indians who were camping there if I could join them. I was made welcome and slept safely.

Hey Landon.... How are you navigating around? Looks like you're taking smaller roads, does your GPS show smaller roads?
Hello my friend! Yeah so before I came on the trip I spent about 2 months studying maps and the locations that I wanted to visit and basically connecting the dots. My rough draft is linked on my instagram in the bio. I built my entire route on Gaia, and then exported the GPX file out to my Trail tech Pro that I have mounted on my bike. I also have the trail downloaded on my Gaia app on my phone. SO yes my trail tech has a painted line that when im off-road im just following that line. I like it a lot because it lets me just enjoy the ride and pay more attention to what's going on around me than always looking at the map and trying to figure out what road leads where.
So you mentioned the stories you have heard about Santa Morte but then you don't tell us the stories? 😢 Another great Video though!
Im sorry brotha hahaha I didn't even really think of that haha. So the stories ive heard about the Santa Muerte is that their are cults or just groups of people that worship her. Ive also heard stories about certain cartels using her as a symbol and worshiping her as well. Most of what ive heard though is very much second hand and so I don't want to spread misinformation. So we should both do some research and then come back together and see what we've learned haha
