Germany's ICE high speed train - First Class review

I got the chance to ride the ICE high speed train in FIRST CLASS for the first time. This is a complete and honest review of the first class. My route today was from Düsseldorf, Germany to Utrecht, The Netherlands.

4:54 with a little bit of luck the driver also keeps the glass uhh... see-though? so you can look through the glass like it was a normal window. sometimes they turn the glass "on" though so you can't see through it that good anymore. it's a play of luck.

7:05 The thing is, you also get compartments and open quiet spaces in 2nd class. Compartments are very rare on ICEs, as most of the trains don’t have them anymore. It‘s really just the ICE 1/2/3, and on some units of these you still don’t get compartments. You were lucky that the compartment wasn’t booked by some persons.

the seat is actually quite different - i don't know if you noticed the 2 different handles on the bottom of the seat but they're for the recline, which is pretty good on these ICEs.

The quiet zone is not a privilege of ICE's first class: you also find it in second class.

Yeah, provided it's respected. Lots of travellers just don't care and then you have to call the attendant or conductor to enforce it.

There are no baths on trains. It's a WC, there is a sign on the door to tell you that.

There's usually a restaurant-cart, but in first class you can also order at your seat I believe

Restaurant in on board for everyone but you got service to your seat with 1st class.
