    I have a 16 year old Toyota Avensis 1.8vvti with only 70,000 on the clock and bomb proof reliability.
    Great review!

    Great review agree with all your comments, as I am waiting for my hilux to be delivered, I’ve been hearing Australian car experts rambling on about the ford ranger for years and when I test drove it I was very disappointed

      Cheers - really pleased you enjoyed it. Ford Ranger has its merits - but over in the UK it lost the 3.2-litre engine, so the muscle category only really has the Hilux in it.

    My car for expedition travelling and crossing countries around Europe to Asia.
    This car will not let you down through rough hot cold wet windy weather. Not like other Europeans American cars, they priority are by performance speed power luxury but sucks unreliable in long journeys. specially in roughed hot and cold weather.
    Use by fishermen farmers war mountains icy rivers hot Sahara Amazon. 100% you can see this car everywhere. even the in jungle.😁
    advance technology is getting popular and easy for the traveller lovers.
    My cousin 25 years old hilux still running like a 5 year old car.😁
    Easy to fix and maintain
    Put Hard top canopy and built in flexible foldable tent at the back.
    Life is good.😁
    You don’t need a house with engine on it(motor home).

    This video is more of an advertisement to buy the Hilux, rather than a review.
    Not a single criticism about the car; not a single comparison with its competitors;

      Only current competitor is dmax until rangarok appears.

      It's a pickup truck, not a car, but your comment is very welcome and I appreciate your opinion. I found it hard to find anything bad about the vehicle, and because I always try to be balanced in my reviews (check the back catalogue and you'll see what I mean) it was reflected in the positive nature of the review. Also, when you consider that its big-engine rivals are no longer on the market, it doesn't really have any competitors to compare it against. Really appreciate your feedback.

      Totally agree, I love my hiluxes and got a 3 rd on order however this is just a sales pitch. Back seats like an suv, I hardly think so. Fuel consumption not great and 12 month lead ins for delivery. Let’s have some honest facts

      @@marksmithard7801 Really appreciate the comment. The Hilux is the last big-power commercial pickup truck left in the UK (the Raptor isn't a commercial vehicle) - there's very little to knock it for (apart from the leafspring suspension, which I mention right at the start).

    Anyone know the length without bullbar
    Order$ a new one a few months ago and I think im gonna have to modify my garage door hinges to bring it forwards a couple cm

      When I fitted one on my Hilux it was seven inches longer as I had the same problem with my garage. If that helps.

    Best in class.

      I agree. Considering it's now in a class of it's own with the more powerful competitors out of the picture.

    2.8 ltr diesel engine existed since 2016 when the model came out but not shipped to the UK.

      As I've said to anyone who has ever called the review I've done advertisements - check the back catalogue, you'll see I always try to be balanced. There's not a lot wrong with the Hilux now the 2.8-litre engine is here. There's no real competition at the muscle end of the market. Really appreciate your comment, however.

  • @richardmcbroom3925

    Sorry, essentially just a sales video and in honesty, at times verging on cringey - hope Toyota paid good commission for that.

    • @tomroberts883
      @tomroberts883 2 года назад +1

      Thanks for the comment. It's hard to say much is bad with the Hilux. Check out the other reviews and you'll see I always try to be balanced in my reviews - this was no exception.
