    Here is the link to get updated valve springs: www.tascaparts...
    Hey guys welcome back to the channel today i am working on this 2015 ford f250 6.2l, this truck came to the shop with a misfire, we changed spark plugs and also we switched coils to see if the problem switched.
    So finally we found the problem by checking the compression and also by performing the valve leak down test, so we figured there was a problem on the valves and since this is a pretty new truck we next proceed to remove the valve covers and we found a broken valve spring.

    I have a similar issue, and want to replace the valve springs. How many are needed for a 2016 F250 6.2? Besides the valve springs, and the valve cover gasket, what else is recommended to change while doing this?

      if you doing this just change all the springs with updated parts from dealership and also the valve seal and cover gaskets that's pretty much what we did we the truck and never had the problem again

    Im considering a 6.2 I will do this when I do the tune up. I already had this happen on 4.6 DOHC 32V, I used a rope, they had service spring that was a beehive shape. I guess it is the same junky part. It is a common issue from what I see. Sometimes it could take out a cyinder. That is the only way this engine can fail.

      These are pretty good and strong engines. This is the only downside of them and sometimes they get badly diagnosed almost ending on selling a new engine to the customers. Is very simple to remove the valve covers and do a quick inspection of the valve springs. And it could save the customer thousands of dollars.

      @@JVFIXLLC Yes, in some cases it is a quick fix. but sometimes they DO take out a cyl on the 6.2L. Rare, indeed, but there cases. Of course we don't know the abuse they had. The aftermarket engines have an improved design.

      @@JVFIXLLC I don't think these engine have hydraulic lifters . That can transfer alot of stress.Just a thought.

    I have a misfire in cylinder 1 of my 2011 f250. It doesnt misfire all the time. First question is where is #1 cylinder located? I have seen different locations for it on the internet. Second question: if it doesn’t misfire all the time, could it still be a valve spring?

    • @JVFIXLLC
      @JVFIXLLC  2 года назад

      cylinder #1 is located on driver side and if it was the valve spring it would be misfiring all the time. you can switch the coil and see if the misfire changes.

      @@JVFIXLLC WRONG! #1 on this engine is passenger side. You're looking at the diagram for the wrong 6.2L engine. Ford makes two different 6.2L with different cylinder number arrangements.
