1st tip: give them hints first and see how they react to those little hints
2nd tip: come out to a friend or a sibling before parents
3rd tip: give them some gifts before coming out ( like food, perfumes, or something that they like )
4th tip: prepare yourself for questions
5th tip: it's not the end of the world! remember that
Yass this what we need
Can I tell them through text before school then power off my phone or is that like breaking up through text
Lol, I think I gave my friends to much hints.😅
I'm to scared to say it.😅

I hope that the next generation would never know about "Coming out"
Just: "I’m in love." Or: "I’m a woman/man/non-binary/gender fluid."
Yess. I dream about the next generation, or atleast the kids of Gen Z being like this. I really hope the next generations won't have to go through trauma, like some of us, and won't have to think too hard about saying that they're in love. And I hope parents start speaking like- who's that perso your texting? Is it your partner 😏-(only an example) I'm currently 13 and I'm not sure if my parents are homophobic or not bcoz I've never spoken to them about this topic. I'm thinking about coming out to them when I'm able to support myself. Sometimes, I'm tempted to just ask them what they think, but I'm scared that they would scold me. Because right now, I REALLY love my parents and they also hope the best for me. I'm not sure how they will react and I don't want to ruin my relationship with them . Any piece of advice will be helpful. 🥲

I plan on coming out tomorrow. I am a christian gay myself, and Im going to tell my parents and then get baptized to prove to them that the two qualities can coexist. Wish me luck, ive never been more scared in my life. Some days I feel confident enough to come out right then and there, and then other days I feel like the whole world is against me. Im wishing luck to anyone else struggling to come out.
How did it go?
How did it go?
I did it the next day! I told them point blank. My dad's first words were "Are you serious" in a cold hard stare. With the shock aside, they dealt with it pretty well. My mom took ut amazingly, only concerned about HIV AIDS and my overall health. My dad is still just tryna figure out my type 😂. They both were concerned for my safety in the world, as I plan on piloting globally, which the world isn't too fine with gays. So they were super worried but I assured then that I've gone 18 years without ppl knowing, so I know times and places when to closet myself. But I urge any and everyone that is contemplating it to come out. It's the hardest thing I've ever done and probably will ever do in my life, but it was so liberating afterwards. I could breathe. I could express, I could finally be me, fully. I thought they'd kick me out or worse, so I'm sure that no matter what happens, it's for the better. Just wanted to come out and share,
I’m pretty sure I’m either pan sexual or bi sexual.
I don’t want to refer to any term I’m just really in love with this girl.. we dated for 6 months and it was so heavenly, we loved each other and I felt so free with her. This relationship ended on my side because of my mother. She’s kind to gay/lesbian people but she’s always told us that that’s not right and that it’s naturally not correct to like someone of your gender. Of course this made me incredibly nervous my feelings towards my girlfriend and I broke up with her for it mostly, other reason was that I wanted to get help and try to improve my mental health. It has improved but ever sense I left her I’ve felt so empty, down, I dream of her, I think of her every day, I think of coming back sense I told her I would after I’d recover from all my issues but im afraid that after I broke up with her and had no contact that she might’ve moved on and maybe if I mess up the way I’m reaching out to her and the way that I’d build our friendship up again to then maybe see if it’s possible we get back together. It’s complicated but I feel so much for this girl and there’s not one day I don’t think of her and I doing things together, going out, seeing each other, talking with each other, her voice, her sound, her.
I’ll have to let her know some day, or she will know some day. Struggling hard right now, haha, leave your suggestions if you have any

@Ares yeah, obviously you should prioritize your comfort and safety, but if someone needs time to process, you should let them have that. society teaches people a lot of lies about people that are lgbtq and some people might need to unlearn those things first. it really sucks for us, but its a complicated issue and usually if someone really cares, they will come around.

I actually came out to my school as trans by telling my teachers to call me Mason and use he/him pronouns for me and they were all very nice about it.
For example one teacher told me I’d be a great leader and hoped I’d feel more comfortable being out and offered to tell the whole class that I’d prefer my pronouns and name be respected and explain that I’m trans.
It warmed my heart
WOOOO YOU GO YOUUUU
I live in Mississippi so that ain't gonna happen

Mine went like this:
I came out (heh) of my room and yelled "I'M GAY"
My mom said "Really?"
I said "Nah... I'm bisexual"
I love this simple and comprehensive guide for someone who is preparing to come out to their love ones
I feel safer out in public as my sexuality than at home. I am BI🌈🏳🌈

My sister: *reaches for megaphone*
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH I HAD THE SAME HAHAHA
OMG MOOD
damn, how rude!
My sister did that to me to lmao
Oof, my cousin did that to me
Thank you for this video, I'm doing a bit of research and preperation for my (bi) best friend because I have doubts about how accepting her parents are. Your video gave me a good laugh and some good advice as well. Would not have thought of half of these methods otherwise haha.
All the best from a proud ally :)
does anyone get those ads on youtube for ‘gay quiz’? well i just took it for the fun of it (i’m pan btw) and it said, CONGRATULATIONS! You’re straight! At least you’re not a disappointment to society, and all the questions were just about assumed stereotypes such as, “What haircut do gays tend to have?”. It’s homophobic. I wish in society sexuality didn’t change the way people look at you. One does not simply control whom or what gender they’re attracted to. They just simply are. Gender is just a label, just because at birth you’re labeled, “female” doesn’t mean that’s how they really feel. It’s easy to feel like you’re stuck in the wrong body. Especially for me. I live in a very religious, homophobic town in Texas. I’ll simply mention the LGBTQIA+ community at school, and people cringe. They tell me that being gay goes against everything their God believes. My parents are even worse. My brother always says homophobic slurs and it breaks my heart. I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to come out, but I can talk anonymously in comments as long as I wish. Thanks for your time, sorry
Me: Mom I’m Pansexual
Mom: So you like pans?
Me: *explains*
Mom: I SWEAR EVERY DAY THERE’S A NEW SEXUALITY OR GENDER!!!
Your mother is right
thats what my parents are like
Ack that’s kinda like my mom. I was talking abt sexuality’s with her and started explaining pansexual. She just got real confuzzled lol.
There’s never a new sexuality or gender. They’re just finally getting names
She ain't lyin' tho :/
My coming out to my best friend:

I was really, really, nervous. Coming out was probably the hardest part of my transition. I came out to a work friend 1st and didn't do a good job I was so I nervous. Then each new person I got better at it and so was able to tell my family in a coherent way. So find a way to practice!
I’m prepped for the “what does that mean?” Question. My parents aren’t really 100% sure on all of that. They say they support, and my cousin is gay, but I’m so scared anyways because I’m their first child to come out to them (that I know of)
*Comments section fretting about coming out as LGB*
*Me, a Trans Person* : "Hold my eyeliner."
LGB, aka „the gays“. I can relate to this. I came out three years ago as trans.
I left 'weird' flags (Trans flag) around my house until my mother questioned it.
I did this by doing tiny things like a hidden note, arranging pencils with the colour of is on the bottom, cutting out small rectangles and colouring them ect.
As a trans persone I thank you and am terified of coming out. T^T
@@d3aD_Gh0st1e-lu4pb I'm also trans and if your mtf wear girl cloths ftm wear boy cloths I'm also 12 they will question eventually but go at your own speed
@@JjjJjj-vr1gw
I just want to add to that that trans women can wear men's clothes as well and trans men can wear women's clothes as well if they're comfortable with it. Enbies don't have to be androgynous either. Clothes don't dictate your gender(s) after all.
- A genderfluid person who dresses feminine in boy mode
I really hate it when parents tell you that you're too young to know that you're gay, lesbian, etc.
But if you say you're straight, they don't question it.
If we are too young to know if we are gay, we are too young to know if we are straight, too.
Edit: I've recently come to terms with being a pansexual trans demi-guy! :]
@Catalina Muñoz Agopian Its alright. Just hang in there, and come out when you're ready!
PERIODTTTT
I mean they are not wrong, but kids are still too young to know what they are or what they want in the future
I came out as bisexual to my mom in 2019 ( I now identify as Pansexual) and she said that I was too young ( I was 9)
@@ilikeyourcutg5597 right back at ya buckaroo
I came out as bi to my mom and my cousin last year when I was 17 and the accepted me and support me 100%. I’m now the happiest version of myself I ever was.
I wanted to come out to my parents as a proud Lesbian but i didn't know how but thank you for helping me. Also my parents think that homosexual people are good and love is love and they don't care what gender we date they still love me no matter what.
Nice.

I’ve had this friend I’ve known since kindergarten. We’ve always gotten along and stayed in touch. But recently I accidentally came out. I forgot the complete context but it came to me making a gay joke. She asked “are you really?” In this nervous shocked tone. I may have been over thinking things but the tone that she said it really was saying she felt uncomfortable and I really think I might have just ruined our friendship. I don’t know what to do.
That’s really sad just tell her it’s a joke
This is really helped me! Thanks Psych!
Update: we got kicked out of the house...
I really hope this is a joke, but if it’s not I am really sorry
